Alien Isolation - Reshade 1979 Movie Mod - Last Survivor DLC Gameplay 

Seriously. That scream gave young me nightmares for years. Still gives me chills hearing it

Still to this day the alien taking out Lambert is for me one of the most horrifying scenes in the franchise.

@@laatkrijt7040 Agreed the breathing/scream is almost nauseating in how awful it sounds, plus not really seeing anything later other than Lambert is somehow hanging from something makes the whole scene one of the best terrifying scenes ever.

there was a very old Alien game for C-64 and it wouldn't let you escape without catching jonesy. :3

@@randallorndorff I remember playing that when I was a kid. Scared the crap out of me as did the C64 version of Aliens.

This clip was created using a very early version of a reshade preset that I later refined and uploaded to Nexus Mods. If you want to download and try the preset, it's called '1979 movie immersion,' and, although it works fine on its own, it shines the most when used with a shader by Pascal Gilcher to add ray tracing lighting effects

It's funny, someone was talking about Hello, Neighbor and said, "It's a shame, there's nothing else like it." and of course I brought up the fact that it was a blatant kid-friendly ripoff of this masterpiece that came out 2 years earlier. Their response, "Nobody liked that game, it got bad reviews". While talking about a buggy disaster of an unfinished game that wasn't much fun to begin with. And here people are, still doing AI let's plays and clips and speed runs 8 years later, with a fanbase that adores the game.

@@Jonas.Correa And the nice thing is that even if they actually greenlight a sequel and ruin it, this one will hold up for ages.

@@CLove511 I agree, the story and setting of this game are better than a lot of alien franchise movies.

The mod is (was) my work and unfortunately it got lost when, due to an unrecoverable Windows problem, I had to format the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. Sad story.

Anyway there is a fantastic mod for Alien Isolation on NexusMods that allows to have the game graphics closer to the various Alien films, called "Alien Collection", downloadable at this address: www.nexusmods.com/alienisolation/mods/18?tab=description I recorded a new gameplay video with one of these mods for Reshade, which I further tweaked to get a final rendering that is really very very close to the 1979 film. Well... also! Your's a good observation! The fact is that I played with keyboard and mouse but I'm mooving too fast when I'm walking, so I often prefer to crouch so I can walk more slowly and therefore make less noise so as not to attract the alien.
