VR is incredible and games like this or Batman VR and many others just prove how amazing it is when you're inside the game feeling like you're part of that world.
@@Gonzax I can see why some people like it, but "doesn't get more VR than that game" is just objectively wrong. The grapple hook is just done by holding A and the arm raises itself, the throwing is done by aiming with the camera, the fighting is just vague QTEs. There's no actual interaction, it reminds me of an old xbox Kinect game. You could very easily make a flatscreen port of Arkham shadow.
@@drmikehuntphd7905 The combat is fantastic, they totally nailed it, it feels exactly the same as it does in the flat games, which I thought would be impossible. Once you get the hang of it it is incredibly fun and a good workout too. As for the grapple hook, I can understand why you don't like it but I think it would have been a bit awkward if you had to grab it every time you were to use it. They probably considered that option and decided it was better as it is. For me it works great this way, I have zero complaints about any of the interactions in the game and I believe it's one of the best VR games to date without any doubt. But, as I said before, everyone is different and have different expectations and preferences. I'm just surprised you got to the point of refunding what is generally considered one of the best VR games in years.
As a new Quest 3 owner and a big Alien fan I am very much looking forward to this game. VR gaming is looking up with Batman, Metro Awakening, Behemoth, Alien Rogue Incursion and Asgards Wrath released this year.
cant wait for this one, defo picking it up....yeah if your new to vr it takes a short while to get used to controls/navigation but once you do it feels completly natural..
@@Monz805 Q3 connected to PC does not get uncompressed video data. And compression causes a lag. Even if they are not as much noticeable, they are still there. Sony does not have to make exclusive games for PSVR2. 3rd parties can do this.
Great video...super cool to have this presented from the view of a non-VR gamer too, and hearing your interest peaking into VR because of this. VR has SO much good stuff, but often gets downplayed. Glad this game and a bunch of other AAA games/ IPs (i.e. Batman Arkham Shadow, and Metro: Awakening as well) are coming out and standing out.
VR gaming is starting to catch its stride with some great releases. I was blown away by Batman; I haven’t had a game suck me in like that in LONG time.
I'm actually more disappointed the more I see of this game. Looks like they deliberately nerfed the aliens to suit casuals. Hopefully there will be mods to sort the ai and speed up the animations.
@@averyfollett4005 They're likely referring to the fact that some Meta Quest games also have PCVR versions (Meta still sells PCVR games though it's clearly not their focus). With some Quest games, you get the PCVR version for free as well, not through Steam but from Meta. This is the case with the upcoming Metro Awakening VR game. Of you buy the Quest version you get the PCVR version as well (and presumably vice-versa but not sure on that).
Cool preview I might pick this up! If you're not trying VR you need to pick up a headset you're missing out! It's really really good now! Buy a headset and play Alyx you won't be sorry you did I guarantee you!
@@c.g.vonhagenstein7576 I am neutral to it. HL IP did not make me into liking it. Thus I am not bothered. The same with Pokemon, Call of Duty, Minecraft, Fortnite, and other games you people are playing. I do me, you do you.
@@kordelas2514 It was just a joke playing off all the "{Blank} hate it when you {do some thing}, but they can't stop you!" advertisements. Nothing more.
@@kordelas2514 it is it’s not a campaign. It’s literally in the title. Edit you may be right that’s what I’ve been hearing since the game was out from Contant creators that have been covering it. But I just looked it up and it says it’s not which is great news for me.
@@kordelas2514 that and the developer said you can do quick play through and every time you play the level is going to be different. In all fairness that sounds like there describing a rogue light.
@@steffendetrick The dev meant that you can do short sessions. So you can save your progress in some way. They never said that environments will be randomly generated. They just said that Xenos have wide variety of options in their behavior algorithm. Thus playing the same level can feel different every time as they are not limited by a narrow script. This adds a lot of replayability.
No coop has killed any interest i had. Massive misstep by the devs. Give people options about how they want to play the game, and don't force them to play the way you want them to.
