@@RichardLeeNimbil love prometheus this garbage will be a guaranteed flop, ridley had such a gem on his hands to just go and fk it all up,prometheus and covenant were beautiful films, this shyt is just trash im sorry
WOAH! It will be inside a space station like in the game Alien Isolation! For anyone who didn't play that game, you need to play it or watch a stream of it, because it was amazing... But I warmly seggest you all to play it because it makes you feel deeply inside of an alien movie, I got chills for at least a month every time I heard creaking sounds. I can't wait for it
The game is fantastic ❤ One of the few games that has genuinely scaredme. The atmosphere is great and I love the scenery. It reminds me of the first Dead space.
@@ondarkendwings lol yes, I can actually call it a horror game, I’m currently playing the whole game again, right now I’m on mission 15 so almost done… I just think it’s crazy how good the game is even in 2024, and the game released 10 years ago!!!!
it's bullshit though. I'm sorry to break it to you, bud, but there's not a single movie these days that does not have some degree of computer generated imagery. Even _Barbie_ had a shitload of it. The fact they're using this as a marketing argument to win you over makes it even worse, because they're 1) lying to you 2) you're gullible enough to believe it. What it actually means is _"we allocated the right amount of time and budget to make the CGI invisible"_ Now it doe not mean the movie will be bad, on the contrary, it means they made sure their visual effects department would have the means to work correctly and practical effects are a very big part of what makes it so, something we don't see as often as we should these days... I hope you'll enjoy watching it, it looks very inspired by _Alien Isolation_ which was a very good game.
Well I'm happy with a mix of both. Even Lord of the Rings had some CGI and still a masterpiece in my eyes. I love movies with practical effects. And if someone from marketing where to dress someone as an alien to scare people just to promote the movie, I would find that awesome as well 😊
yeah except it dont because they decided to not use terminals, not use familiar systematic design of Weyland Yutani ships, not make aliens work the way they do, changed the stealth face hugger impregnation to neon glowing rontgen, changed the process of wall submersion... and if anyone is like "oh well you cant really have stuff look like it did in the 80s" look at alien isolation. Realistic graphics, 80s looks. Its possible, if you respect the franchise
@@noctiss_season2 And you forgot that it's got a bunch of stupid looking soy millennials in it. That's something you wouldn't see in the 80s or 90s. In this lame looking movie, I will be rooting for the Xenomorphs.
So if they stick to what I think they are going for, which is go for some similarities from the game Alien Isolation. This will be terrifying. I can’t wait.
@@emmanuelnyamali3878to this day it’s the only horror game I’ve played where I’m actually terrified. I hid under a desk in nightmare mode for 20 minutes because the flipping alien kept coming back into the room 😂. I was sweating.
Great game. It captured something many of the films in the alien franchise failed to do. I remember a moment playing Isolation when I threw a sound emitter device towards 3 hostile NPCs so the alien could deal with them while I hid in a ventilation shaft. I heard all the commotion while they were getting slaughtered and thought, "Great, all clear!" Then the alien climbed into the ventilation shaft and got me too. How rude.
So glad they gave this job to Alvarez I can look forward to it, unlike Disney , Star Wars, DC, Dr.Who , Indiana jones or marvel anymore, this looks amazing
I think it looks like an awesome mix of the original Alien and of Aliens, thus bringing together the horror elements of Scotts movie, with the action of Camerons. I don't think it'll bring anything really new considering the amount of movies in the Alien-franchise as a whole. Still, I don't care. I look forward to it no matter what.
I like how they've got the same vents from the latest game which is wildly popular I think because of it's suspense and originality. Looking forward to this
Have you ever watched the 1979 movie Alien? Because those vents are from that original movie, they are used in the ventilation system on the spaceship Nostromo. The reason they're in Alien Isolation is because those vents were a staple of the time period and the creators of the game wanted to be faithful to the original Ridley Scott movie.
Dude, I no longer get my hopes up for new Alien content - but still, I gotta say... This has been steadily looking better and better, the more I see of it. Fede looks to really have the potential to actually be a capable Alien director. I've not seen nor heard ANYTHING yet that seems disappointing, or turns me off, about this new installment. 👍!!
Oh man you got to see the original 1979 Alien in the theaters? I wish I could have done that, but I was only about 5 years old at the time. I did however get to see Aliens in 86 when it came out in the theater and that was an experience I'll never forget! And I've gone to watch every Sequel and connected movie in the theaters since then.
Video game..you wanna make folks crap theirs drawers, put the monsters on a fully Geigeresque planet. No trees, no plants no water, just fog, bones, metal landschaf. Habe moving Harkonnen monster blobs, this in the ship space marine stuff is old. Look at Geigers paintings and do just that. 🇹🇴🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
Two words that I never need to hear again...franchise (when describing movies/television) and iconic. One thing: this film cannot be worse than Shane Black's Predator movie from six years ago.
There baaaack. Practical special effects, Aliens / Facehuggers act built from scratch. No Green Screen or CGI..In the Cinema everyone can hear you scream. .
@@WizardosBoz yes we all know inherently there will be similarities. But there’s always an opportunity to try to do something new. I think what he’s pointing out is that it seems like it’s using a lot of the very similar set ups. Let’s hope for the best. And To each their own their own.
yeah, apparently we'll NEVER get the quality and ORIGINAL ideas that were so present the movies in the 70/80's. thx 1188, terminator, predator, alien, rambo, star wars, the godfather, the shining, coma, the exorcist, the never ending story, ghostbusters, even ET...and so many more. Each time you were amazed and surprised. After the movie your were still talking about what a great experience it was...for days! Now : just remakes and pre/sequels of those great original ideas. We have to HOPE they achieve 50 % of the quality of the original concept....and if they do achieve that 50 % (rarely) we call it a "great movie" by todays standards... so sad.... Only one that gave me hope to change all that was/is Tarantino. So : great ! another alien...wonder what they are going to do ? lays eggs, facehugging, kill humans, breed, bleed acid etc... 🙄
We hear ya. But that inherently going to happen when you keep within an already established franchise. Also there have been great new movies and ideas since the 70/80s; there are plenty of good new sci-fi in the 2000s to now. (Not going to make a list.) But yes, this new alien movie is going to have many elements similar to the past films. IMO, I don’t like how this “trailer” says it’s going back to horror. I’d argue it was a great balance of balance of both. The original Alien movie had so many important sci-fi elements from it being the future, to space ships, to androids, and more. And that continued into the second movie, Aliens. But like you, I would like them to try something new. Best!
I hate most horror movies - They're typically far too boring and obvious to enjoy. I grew up with the Alien franchise, however, and this one looks like it will actually be good. Hopefully, it will make up for the clogged toilet bowls that are the prometheus movies.
Let me guess...aliens we've all seen before....Face huggers we've all seen before...the Alien and Predator series needs BETTER WRITERS AND BETTER DIRECTORS. What made the original films succussfull was the suspense, the new species and not knowing what it really is and how it really behaved, being picked off one by one and the suspense of it all, being on the verge of doom but then brought back from the end of death...aka better script from better writers. The environment has to be exotic and unique, it has to have a dark theme to it, you need cast that act brave and some that act vulnerable, you need that impending doom, you need hope...you need to be scared of what's after you. We ALL know what the aliens etc look like...maybe that another species that is out to get you but is not working with the aliens...double the trouble.
It’s produced by Ridley Scott so it’s still a Ridley Scott film. Yes, Fede is the director, but producers can have a great influence. And Ridley generally has a big influence in the films he is involved in. That’s how moviemaking and Hollywood work.
@@karlcantarella7982 I don't care about his career, why not using the name of Alvares in the title instead of Scott, the director have more influence then the producer lol. The only good thing about Scott is his ability to be well surrounded. Giger, O'Bannon, for Alien, etc... Hes far from being a perfect director...
@@010Filmz I understand what you’re saying but you could be using this moment as a learning experience. First up Ridley Scott has directed way more and produced more films than Alvarez so he’s a bigger name. Actually, if you look on Alvarez’s Wikipedia entry, you see that he lists producer credits on a number of his films, including Texas chainsaw massacre and breathe, so he himself considers producer position to be very important. And he’s only directed a handful of films. So my point is here, yes, the Director has most of the influence on a film, but the producer can also have a big influence on the film. Especially a producer who has an incredible directing résumé. Also, while no Director is perfect, Ridley Scott has directed many amazing films, so your comment is off. I’m sure plenty of people would say Alvarez’s directing wasn’t perfect either. And it’s a safe bet that if he continues to make lots of films, there will be some films that won’t be perfect , just like any Director. Best!
This is a just a remake of Alien which basically means her comes another flop just leave these great franchises alone like Alien, Terminator, Matrix, Star Wars the list goes on. Just stop destroying their cinematic legacies
Please stop making these lame movies. Please make something good. They weren't good when they first came out, and they're still bad movies with horrible scripts and sad acting. What's next, Tarantino gonna direct the next aliens movie.
Nice return to the basics and focus on the creep/horror factor of the alien. But it is a sci fi that happens to be a horror. NOT a pure horror, nor should it be.
26th century warp drive capabilities and no way to stop a bug? never made sense.... We already now have weapons that woudl desintegrate a Queen in seconds - by some 19 year old army cadet with a trigger finger...lol///
