In the near future, aliens are wiping out cities for their energy, and the only hope to save humanity is a fortress in Shanghai that will battle until the very end. Subscribe to our second channel: tinyurl.com/Movie-Recaps
I still can't get over the fact that humans in this situation were smart enough to build a forcefield around the city, yet the aliens weren't smart enough to build a forcefield around the mothership and had to use their own soldiers to defend it 😂😂😂
im surprised it tooked a whole ass lazer cannon to destroy a alien mothership made from upgraded nokia steel 💀💀 alien really thought they was slick using a nokia steel as armor and too cocky to build a forcefield bruh skill issue
Still better than those american aliens with the white westerner protagonists (why do they even always land in the US in every western alien movie lmao)
That still doesn't change the fact that there are 49million kangaroos in Australia and 3.5million people in Uruguay which means if the kangaroos were to invade Uruguay, each person will have to fight 14 kangaroos 😤
Dont know about that, but i always wonder something when i see movie about aliens! They are always one species and their race is focused in expanding and colonizing other planets and species! So when you look at us, the humans, you will understand we dont deserve to be interstellar civilization! One species killing each other and destroying our home planet instead unite and progress to the future! Imagine what we will do to other species and planets....! We deserve to nuke ourselves to death and not ruin the universe!
It's a sci-fi movie and written to move the plot along, but yea, it's not as realistic to increase production when we're fighting technologically superior aliens. Even during WW2 or any wars for that matter, enemy sabotage makes it difficult to actually make significant advancements in most cases. We're not fighting against fellow humans and really it's just written that way for this movie script. Maybe it's one of those "we still got things done even despite our disadvantage" kind of movie concepts that we as an audience just have to suspend our disbelief.
I agree, how could humans not have thought of using this new energy source for weapons! impossible, in real life, the army is usually the first to use new technology
@@conradlorgar5508 you can clearly see that this type of energy source is closer to fission/fusion energy than coal or other fossile fuel energy. Mister smartass ;) Also, look at the alien weapons, they seem to use energy blasts similar to what humans could have developed probably based on this new source of energy.
The four basic forces are the gravitational force, the electromagnetic force, the weak nuclear force, and the strong nuclear force. World scientists are also trying to harness or figure out how to radiation-blocking plasma that already exists in outer space to create force fields. Many sci-fi movies leverage existing concepts of science that we know and just exaggerate it for the movie scripts, such as the I guess slightly more plausible force fields. Miniaturization of energy weapons are probably less realistic even for these movies otherwise, we'll be the technologically superior alien species invading other galaxies. Or it's just for the sake of moving the plot along in a sci-fi movie. :)
@@GariusMarius Bro they made a giant ass cannon and a pretty advanced drones/jets don't give that shitty explanation That's why they weren't able to made a gun that can atleast damage the robots lol. That's a dumb ass plothole in the movie
@@blacky8987 Limited resources after an alien invasion. It was basically a small area protected by a force field and the only metals or other resources used to make weapons was probably used on the cannon and other higher priority munitions. Unfortunately, arming individuals aren't as important. They did use remote controlled drones to limit the small number of surviving humans as a hint that they were low on both human resources as well as actual handheld weapons that can pack the punch of being shot at by m60 bullets or self destructing a whole control room just to take one a single robot.
@@GariusMarius Why tf are you even using real life logic in the movie? LMAOOOOO they use a giant ass cannon make a forcefield make a powerful drone protect a city from a alien using a new energy source and your saying that they can't make a weapon that can penetrate a robot? What's the point of even giving guns to the soldiers lol. It's a plot hole that's all into it
thats just not true lmfao, it takes real talent to make cheap CG look good, you can also still spend millions are it looks shitty, companies like ILM will do magic, small indie studios for like CW are awful@@ThePianistONE
Does that have the same effect it would for an american viewer watching an age difference like that in an American movie? Or do Chinese people have trouble telling a Chinese persons age as well?
these Chinese made sci-fi movies aren’t half-bad. this is the 5th or so movie I’ve seen from Chinese production companies based around ‘cataclysmic events’, and they don’t disappoint in terms of visuals. the stories unfortunately always have some glaring plot abnormalities, and It’s due to them excluding the USA from the plot entirely. It leaves room for a lot of “well why didn’t you do that?” - type questions that you do not want your audience asking. 6.8/10 ✌🏻
Ye it's great point. U.S. films assume it's the best war nation, China assumes the same. But China is rich in natural resources so it's not too far off to think because of that, China developed faster than anywhere else.
Most sci-fi alien invasion movies depict their own country as the hero. Is that so difficult of a concept to understand? I guess I am too hopeful for people that blurts out "communists" in a sci-fi movie recap comment section. chill out. lol
It wasn't a bad movie by any measurements for a budget of 64 million USD and released in 2019 compared to other bigger budget films using possibly much more developed film tech.
I mean, if any of us live long enough, most things that we see are a rip off of some concept or another. As long as someone does it well or do it better, I have no issues with it. It's just a movie based on someone's script and idea. Entertainment if nothing more and shouldn't be a deterrence for enjoyment for me.
I'm laughing how they can create super drones, spaceships and they can even create an energy shield that can tanks nuke attacks but even so they don't give soldiers super suits or improve normal weapons haha bullets against robotic beings? hmmm
In 50-s we invent nuclear power and actually managed to build warships that can have virtually infinite energy, yet still marine around the world still use modifications of M-16 or AK-74 instead of some portable nuke-guns. Not everything can be scaled down easily.
robot grabbed onto her plane another pilot hits robot off her plane but catches fire, destroying the plane hes on foot now she saves his life killing a robot with her plane gets out to get revenge -me: bruh. him: then what was the point of me sacrificing my plane when you could have just used ur escape pod? im taking ur plane.
