Tensions are riSING! AHHHHH!!! They're coming outta the god damn walls!! GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE NOW!!!!!! *pulse rifle fire, alien screeches, acid sizzling*
Marines were low-key the most OP faction to play as in this game's multiplayer. Sure, the Aliens and Predators had all the abilities and gadgets, but most of the time they had to get close to actually kill someone. Marines had the weaponry, and if they saw a predator or an alien player, chances were they were gonna shoot the shit out of them.
Yeah i hear ya. Predator needed more range weapons or just be VERY strong at melee, which he should be. Same with the alien. If either of them closed the gap, the marine should die, not be able to block and counter stun the Predator/Alien. Though the Predator/Alien grab spam ruined the game for me.
My memory was that it took a bit of skill to be a marine. When your play group mostly consisted of alien pred mains being a marine meant firing your gun was a dinner bell for the rest of the map. Dealing with one enemy meant you were too tied up to see another coming up behind you or lining up that spear throw
@@screenname6829 I have had the same experience, as marine you were always on your guard, kind of like a really sweaty warzone player today. And if you even heard the slightest hint of Alien or Predator, you immediately had to go into constant block mode and look around like your life depended on atleast seeing who's E-grabbing you from behind, munching on your face or tearing out your entire bone structure. "Don't relax just yet, marines!" wasn't just a quote from the NPCs in the campaign, it was lowkey a tutorial hint for Multiplayer.
Same. The OTS in the game is good. It has that Aliens feel, but I never really had that epic feel with it. With AVP3 you get horror, tension and that heroic feel to it. Which also makes me wish with some of the guns in this game would appear in Fireteam. Like the Sniper, Shotgun, flamethrower, and pistol.
Dude playing on nightmare mode and doing the final mission was so actually hard and the music only made it more badass. Fight for your life to escape a xeno infested planet and escape buy Killin whalin only to find out its an android
To be honest, it was very difficult for me to pass that part in Nightmare and I had already finished it with what I thought were the most difficult, that is, Xenomorph and Predator in Nightmare
I tried the marine campaign on hard, but never beated it (Nightmare?no thanks! as predator only, marine is scary). Even tho I already know some parts, the game is good enough to keep scaring me.
this would also work for Star Trek First Contact LOL. They have adapted to every modulation of our weapons, ITS LIKE WE ARE SHOOTING BLANKS! Captain we have lost the Enterprise, we must Evacuate while we still can and self-destruct the ship!
I beat this game on Marine with the hard difficulty before nightmare. I ALMOST beat it with Nightmare but the Praetorian encounter number two in the labs keeps killing me.
+Colin Clark Oh please. The praetorian has no issues in moving, while player's character can only run fatass - run (like <10 meters, then several seconds of heavy breathing, possible heart attack, repeat). At Worst i have done that part dozens of times, just because i was unable to avoid direct combat even for a bit.
im not that good as marine in mp matches but i kick ass in survivor and i find the marine campaign to be the best. It had a movie feel and it was scary as f***
