The club fight is one of the game's strongest moments, the excess of grenades, the way xenos come from all directions and the mad dash for the lift are all great for getting the blood flowing, the music and strobe lights both hinder your ability to fight and make you feel like a badass.
I like to stay and see how long I can last. Its the equivalent of the final predator lever when the xenomorphs spawn infinity until you active 2 out of 3 switches. I just fight and fight and fight and fight and fight and fight but eventually it gets tedious cause they can never kill me. I keep going until im out of healing crystals or get bored. Strangely these levels are more fun for survival than the games actual survival mode which sucks cause it's just too dark and dont get enough ammo and I can barely make it through the first four stages.
It's only good when you know they are NOT in your area. Loud music like this realistically would attract xenomorphs considering loud music equals a gathering of humans. Plus, the loud music means you won't hear them coming meaning you got to rely on sight instead of sound.
@@xenomorph-2017 Keep your ears and an eye on your motion tracker. *beep* *beep* *beep* means they are within your thirty and very rapid beeping means they are right on top of you. Just need to keep an eye on the walls and ceiling for movement.
Despite it's fairly high score, this game is a bit underrated, i only wish the game was longer, i would love to see more campaign, or another game done by the same developers. This is easily the best alien vs predator product we've ever gotten sense alien vs predator 2, i really hope we get a good AVP movie this decade.
+Im a wizard Yeah, how about an AVP game for next gen consoles. Its much longer, has similar AI And fear aspects similar to Alien Isolation, Being able to play as A Marine, Predator, and Predator. The Atmosphere being like Alien Isolation. So basically, a AVP Game like Alien Isolation with the Three Species playable just like this one.
Killing Xenos to this with the strobe lights flickering in the dark is a spiritual experience, if it played 24/7 throughout the marine campaign; I'd never die. This game rocks
This scene was probably the scariest scene for me back when I played this as a wee child. Even today it freaks me out mostly because of the flashing lights masking where the Xenos are and when you do see them the flashing lights make them look like they’re closer every second without even moving (kinda like when a Weeping Angel from doctor who gets closer when you blink.) that, and the music kinda distracts you from your motion tracker.
@AlphaKnight1096 Well, they put the Prometheus shit into Aliens: Colonial Marines and Fireteam Elite because those are part of the Alien universe; AvP is its own separate continuity, completely separate from Alien and Predator. It takes the creatures and a lot of details from both and puts them into its own timeline that shares nothing else with the other two.
I dunno about you but I just....played normally and shot the Xenomorphs when they came. I like to stay even though i'm told to leave cause I like to fight them all and see how long I can last. It's actually really fun
I remember playing when the music started I was pumped with adrenaline to me one of the best game experience I ever had. Iw old play a game again. Great game to me Recommend to everybody who didnt have a chance to play.
Arguably the game's best moment. Only other contender is when you're defending that hub section with the marines and the sentry guns. I think the first Marine level is pretty much perfect. They captured the aesthetics, vibe, action-horror of Aliens and let the player experience losing more and more marines to the indomitable force of xenomorphs as the level progressed. For the rest of the game as the Marine, it's still an alright game. The second level isn't too bad either, but not as good, and all the other levels dwindle in quality after that, and pale in comparison to this first mission.
There is a pre-release video of the gameplay with the fight in the club. The music is not a loop and seems to have a far better build. You can find it here on youtube. But sadly I've never able to find a clear full track on the web.
I beat this on Nightmare mode. I'm one of the people who has all 50 achievements, all DLC maps, and knew every glitch on every character, map, and Easter eggs as well. In reality, if I ever get a good set up, I would record these for a walkthrough with no commentary in HD 1080p. Really freaking fun. I made it to rank 43 looooong ago.
This game is bad ass! Makes me wish the movies were done in this style, aka bringing the Predators into the "Aliens" timeline, instead of stupidly placing the Xenomorphs on present day Earth!
I agree but at least in requiem the director wanted it to be the origin of Waylands company being so powerful in the alien movies after they got their hands on wolf's technology at the end
Gordon Freeman: THE MUSIC IS SO LOUD THAT I CAN'T FUCKING HEAR MYSELF THINK!!! **shoots headcrab** AND YOU''RE NOT HELPING!!! **continues shooting headcrabs/ Vortigaunts as the music plays**
I remember when I played multiplayer on this masterpiece.Aliens vs predators vs marines. It was a fucking chaos on the pyramid map but oh gosh how much I loved it.Perfect game!!
Always an forever also an I've also have been playing that game 🎮 also that day especially when it first cameout in 2010 last 13 years ago an also love this mission also as a marine also an have completed the 3 campaign on Alien/Predator an Humans also an always play as the Predator always an also do love the theme to this also on this impressive an very very interesting game qlso hopefully they'll make another one of these magnificent game also on all consoles. Someday and oneday also
I remember playing this game and an alien was just enjoying its sweet time watching the hologram stripper dance and walking around it. That alien knows what’s good... 😈😆
Ngl this level does horror right. You turn on the music and you know it's a goddamn dinner bell That on top of the strobes and music hindering your senses putting the enemy at the advantage makes this level *French finger kiss* perfect
Really hope they make another AVP game at some point, hopefully with a lot more content. I’d really like a longer, less linear single player campaign(s) that has a stronger story with more interesting characters. Also, maybe slightly more in depth combat too. The fact that in AVP 2010 you have to use glitches to spice up the combat (sprint heavies, jump heavies, etc...) is pretty bad. Also, make it so that you can either earn XP in player matches, or at least in survivor. Kind of annoying playing survivor for an hour to get nothing out of it except for a higher position on a leaderboard. Final thing I’d like to see would be CO-OP missions. Whether this be a part of the main campaign, or a separate mode akin to Spec Ops in MW3. I think this could work well as all 3 species. Personally, I don’t think it’s likely that we’ll see another game, at least, not any time soon, but one can dream. It’s a shame this game doesn’t have a stronger player base. I feel like if it got put on Xbox Game Pass or made free temporarily on Steam or something it might really help boost the player base.
I wish that there was a cheat to unlock in the game for Marine campaign mode to use the M56-B Smartgun throughout the entire game. That way it'll feel like you chose that weapon for your use of survival throughout the game, or switch to all guns anytime. That would be cool
I accidentally blew a thousand dollar subwoofer trying to play this in my car, I should've known as soon as it started playing as my car was shaking, but I let it play. Don't make my mistake.
Sgt. Jones: Damn, the light's are out, Broskie, see what you can do from the Power Room. *Radio static* Pvt. Broskie: Yes, sir. *The music turns on* Sgt. Jones: That's the music! Turn it off, turn it off! Pvt. Broskie: I'm trying to! Come on, turn off, damn it! Cpl. Edwards: Movement! Right on top of us! Pvt. Keyes: Where, man? I can't see shit! Cpl. Edwards: Where the hell are they? I can see 'em on the Tracker but where are they?!
