I am a car tunet and i use HPTuners to tune customers vehicles. I am looking into getting another tool to do the cars which are not supported by them like BMWs. With the kess 2/3 can I pull the file and make a custom tune calibration? I can decide what i want to change each parameter individually instead of having an of shelf tune. I couldn't see a custom map suite and the only thing i found was just reading out the stock calibration and writing back again something calibrated by alientech

Hi, can i read my bad ecu with this and write to another used one ecu wich is in good condition? if i can that means that i will have to take out from car bad ecu after reading and put another one (good condition) in car and proced with the writing, right?

@@ViezuTechnologies a tuner I know uses the Alien tech software to dyno tune the Ford ranger 3.2L, I just wanted to be sure and understand it's not a generic flash tune, a 1 for all approach. As I wanted to be sure its a specific tune for my modifications to suit .

So I’m fairly new to this I really need some help. So my main goal is to be able to delete DTC codes permanently but I’m not sure if I’m heading the right direction. I currently have Winols and ordered a Kessv2 which will take sometime to arrive. I will be working mostly on Kia’s and Hyundai. Would this be the correct setup?

Hi, the KESS tools are used to read and write files to the engine's ECU, you might be interested to know that there is actually a new version of this tool, the KESS3, which is more powerful, and can be set up to allow Bench, Boot, and OBD tuning from a single tool. In order to modify the files they will either need to be sent to a company to do this for you (a service we can provide) or you will need an editing tool like Alientech's ECM Titanium, or WinOLS. These tools will allow you to edit the ECU file, and make any modifications you wish. We actually offer a huge range of training sessions both in person or online for KESS, and for the ECM and WinOLS, some of our introductory courses are even available for free. If I purchase a used Kess2, will I still be able to participate in the training classes? Also, would it be acceptable to purchase a used Kess2, and if so, what is the cost of the updated subscription?
Yea what is the price for the subscription I am interested also? I see many sites on the web have it for sale from £540 to $650/$1259 with a laptop here in USA for a new. But what else will I need any subscription to be able to use it? If there is a software what’s the price. And do you guys modify the ecu’s? I mostly work on USA trucks like freightliner,piterbuild,kenworth,Volvo, hino,ud,Mitsubishi,izusu, I need it mostly for def,systems, sometimes for other things. I have been using a j2534 to read end write and the modifications are doing guys from Germany with a reasonable price €100 to €550 depends what the costumer wants!

The Kessv2 is no longer sold from new as it has been replaced by the Kess3. The Mazda RX-8 is available to read and dependant on the activation of the equipment depicts whether you can make amendments yourself or not. The slave versions read the ECU but the file produced is encoded and you would need to send to the master you are linked with to make the changes. A master version produces an open file and you can then use additional 3rd party tuning software to edit the file and make the necessary changes. The KessV2 will work and can be used for removals too, but it has been replaced by the kess 3 now, and will not be supported after April, both tools do need internet to work. please mail us at info@viezu.com if we can help with anything .

yes the kess2 is still supported, but there have been no updates for a year now, you can still use the tool fine though, if you need the software you can mail us at info@viezu.com - or there are some string discounts still available to trade in the kess2 for an all new kess3
Hi @crisfher, we have training videos on how to use the tuning tools on our training site remap101.co.uk and for detailed instructions of a specific ECU inside of the KSuite software you have commented on above, you simply need to plug your Ktag tool into the software, select the matching ECU in the application list and you will be able to see the connection instructions. I have just replied to your other comment. We no longer sell the Kessv2 or K-tag as this has been replaced by the Kess3 as it can do OBD and Bench/Boot.
This is done to make sure that the checksum has been correctly properly and there are no starting issues. It's a standard practice for professional tuning companies to start the vehicle at least three times after writing to the ECU or TCU.
Wait a minute, I am waiting for him to start moving map tables and stuff, and all he did is download a map to it? I thought you could manually tune your vehicle with this tool
