What's up everybody I got another unboxing video for you guys today. I got my Alienware m18 AMD edition early so figured I'd do an unboxing. Then some benchmarks. As well as a little gameplay. Now unfortunately I got a laptop with an almost broken 7900m. If I fight with it for a bit I was able to get the 7900m to run for the benchmarks and cyberpunk. But later on, the laptop was just sitting around I heard the fans spin up and it restarted and only the integrated 610m will work now. So it will go back and I'll get another one hopefully that one goes better. Because I still liked the laptop when it was working it was a beastly laptop. I'm so excited to get it replaced and start making some gameplay videos on it. So I hope you guys enjoyed the video and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Well, unfortunately i think the 7900m is already dead it's constantly grey screening on me when I try to use it. Then it defaults to the 610m and now even when I re-do the drivers, it won't let me use the 7900m. So I have to send it back and then send me a new one as I don't trust it. Unless they are going to only offer to fix the laptop I guess we will see but it's only a little over a day old so I should be able to do something.

Don’t feel bad man, it’s practically every manufacturer these days. I had to exchange my g18 4080, but actually ended up with their latest batch from September. I have to say I’m really impressed with the quality on them, and they really improved with the latest bios and armoury crate. I’m scoring around 19000 timespy for $2k, and that’s not even pushing it to it’s max. The best way I’ve found to get a decent batch from best buy and ensure that it gets to you without getting beat up in shipping is to order it in the store and have it shipped to the store for pickup. The latest batches are always at the warehouse, and they ship it freight so someone who actually works for best buy handles it the whole time.

Im hopeful the new one will work out already got the whole thing going just waiting for the shipping label to send the broken one back. I think mine will score 19-20k when it's working correctly but will have to wait and see. But that's a good value for your laptop. Alienware is not exactly known for being reasonably priced. But they were the only ones that had the 7900m at least for now.

Well, I was having fun but then the 8900m decided to up and die on me so it's time for Alienware/Dell to send me a new one. Or fix this one would just prefer a new one though I worried this one is just a lemon.

It was for a little bit but now the 7900m is completely dead it won't even enable when I reinstall drivers before it is constantly grey-screened then disabled the driver saying it detected a problem. So it's got to go back and either get fixed or preferably give me a totally new laptop.

@@enricosernesi2939 I was hoping it was the new hardware but it seems as though the GPU is just dead can't get it to work no matter what now a code 43 when the easy stuff like reinstalling drivers doesn't work it tends to to be a dead GPU but the thing is so new there's no way they can just leave my hanging and not fix it or give me a new one.

It would have been even cooler if it didn't have any problems and the 7900m did not break. However at least Dell is being extra cool about it and just want to send me a new laptop so that's at least nice I figured I was going to have to fight with them and figured they'd want to just fix the one I have like most other companies would. But no they were just like oh wow just let us get some info from you and then we'll get you a shipping label to send it back and get you a new one sent to you ASAP.

@@XxViciousxX Yeah, please try. Sorry English isn't my first language. What I was trying to say was, in like asus laptop inbuilt keyboards, they come with aura sync in which you can create your own effects & it has many keyboard rgb effects prebuilt. So, is this feature available in alienware? Can we build our own effects in the alienware m18 inbuilt keyboard, do we have to install an external software or is it just not possible. I don't see an option in the dell alienware command center.

Great news bro! Thanks for video! I wanted to buy 7900m too after 6800m, but amd waited too long to lunch it, so I bought Asus rog strix scar 17 with r9 7945hx + RTX4090 laptop nearly the same money as alienware

That's still a great laptop and technically faster than this one. I was also looking at a scar 17 with a 3d chip and a 4090 but between that, on this Alienware, my subs seemed more interested in the 7900m so I went with that.

That was due to bad light my camera needs lots of lights and one of my lights basically suicided itself and broke (fell offer on its own accord) so I had to make do with just one light which was apparently not enough. But hopefully, the process is smooth and easy. But sucks was super excited to make videos on this thing but now I'm back to no laptop for a little bit. Maybe I'll be able to fix the Asus before the next m18 gets here.

Thanks for the video review and info, I purchased the same model with the AMD CPU and 7900M since they sold it to me for 1900 as refurbished, the CPU was hitting 80c degrees even at idle and over 106c degrees while gaming, numerous freezes and blue screens, and it finally crashed and I had to setup a replacement with dell support, they were awesome and sent me a replacement with the Intel I9 CPU and RTX 4090 with more memory and 1tb more space for free. Now my CPU temps stay at or around 45 c at idle and don't go over 80c degrees while gaming. It crushes everything I threw at it.

Thank you very much but it was a short-lived laptop its main 7900m GPU has issues and keeps disabling itself after grey screening on me. So need a new one or this one repaired.

The new one is finished being made and it getting ready to ship right now. So I will definitely do more videos on this thing when I get my new one. Lots of gameplay videos for sure. Undervolting and laptops are not my forte on intel/Nvidia laptops it's easy but on AMD you normally have to jump through some hoops but it is possible. I know you can lower the TDP in the Alienware Command Center but that's not the same as undervolting so I don't really know how to do that. Maybe this one is easier than my old G15 Advantage was though. So when I get it back ill try to figure out undervolting if I can.

I am still pretty confident I can fix it as almost everyone agreed it was my terrible past job on the VRM as well as K5 Pro not being that great (even though lots of people recommend it).

I have this laptop. It is not for the casual gamer or techie. A little research goes a long way. Alienware specifically states not to download drivers from amd and to get them from the Alienware website. If you had read this information or just started the pc without downloading drivers you would have been fine. I admit it is a bit buggy compared to my asus g15, but the performance is insane. It is a new system that is fully amd so you can expect some glitches and bugs. I’d recommend this laptop if you plan on gaming and video editing only. If you want a more all around laptop or a user friendly laptop buy an asus. This guy should have stuck with asus and this video makes that apparent.

It doesn't say anywhere that you can only use the drives from Alienware. That was stated by them after everyone started complaining about black screen issues. This one also came with a broken 7900M which was the biggest issue. But if it's true you can only use drivers from Dell this thing is a paperweight. Last I checked they were still on the December driver. So you can't even play some games thanks to outdated drivers. You also don't get access to the Adrenalin Software. So no way to check if SAM is on or Freesync. So that also sucked. Luckily I use an OLED 27in 240hz monitor with the laptop which negates the AMD driver issue so I can at least play games and edit videos as the drivers that came from Dell wouldn't even let me launch Davinci Resolve to do any video editing. As well as have up-to-date drivers. The new laptop they sent me is great (minus a drop to 30 FPS once per game some others with Alienware laptops solved that by reinstalling Windows). I'm also very good with tech which is why I have been able to solve almost any tech issue I come across and why I make videos for people that don't have the knowledge I do.

the latest AMD drivers wouldn't even detect on my G15 AMD Advantage edition... had to go back to the WHQL. on the laptop side I think I'm a fan of leaving the video drivers on the WHQL edition vs installing every new version and seeing what breaks lol.

Normally I only go to the latest for games since itest games of people. My general rule for PCs is if it is working leave it alone. I broke that rule with the advantage of trying to get better temps and now it's half broken. But I think this thing just came with a bad 7900m I feel like even if I left the driver stock I'd have tried to launch a game and have gotten a grey screen

It's defantly powerfulll and i have fixded basically every issue it had. So its a very nice laptop. Though is a little pricey for what it is. But that's the Alienware tax.

If Alienware would quit putting the motherboards in upside down, and design a proper cooling system to match, the temps would come down all around to some decent ranges. Why they insist on still doing that is beyond me.

I figured they just did it to stop people from easily taking the thing apart to repaste for example. It is dumb though to make it purposely hard to take a part. The cooling system seems very large but it must be all looks as it still gets really hot at least on the CPU side I did not really get to test the 7900m temps for long.

I'm still going to try to fix the G15 Advantage I'd like to make videos on both. I almost went with a Scar 17 with the X3D chip and a 4090 but I let my subs pick and they picked this one.

@@XxViciousxX when I bought my unit, g17 with x3d cpu wasn’t in stock yet, then I see it in stock a month or so later for the same price, it’s a bummer like you spend a whole a lot for top of the line then it’s not anymore shortly after, didn’t see any cpu bottleneck yet though

It's powerful when it works unfortunately it decides to totally die so I'm stuck with 610m only. So back it goes hopefully the next one is not like this if so I'll get a refund I'm not spending 3k+ on something I can't use.

That's the problem. AMD doesn't market their mobile GPUs well. Not to mention they only have one OEM using this GPU. This is why Nvidia is eating their lunch.

@@jayclarke777 Yep my last laptop was also all AMD I just like giving AMD a chance. as there are so many Intel and Nvidia laptop videos out there. Plus I still have my main PC if a game doesn't run well on my other systems I can always trust my main PC to power though.

I am currently playing cyberpunk and with your settings and 1440p, I am getting approx 50-60 fps with some hiccups (I capped at 60 fps). Then I saw the performance of this Alienware.... I was shocked.... Then I remember the price tag of Alienware. I am more than happy with my current performance. It seems Alienware forgot what made AMD Advantage series attractive in the first place, and it's price tag. Getting a faulty piece is unacceptable when it's charging 3000$+ , Even ASUS AE comes in sale for 1K$, so it's more than 3x price tag. Also it's going to 101c which is unacceptable too. A suggestion: If MSI afterburner doesn't work properly, use AMD's own Performance meter. Maybe 1-2 FPS loss but you get a lot of data from that.

Yeah this thing when it was working was very powerful but it was also extremely expensive. I kind of wish Alienware was not the only ones that had the 7900M But since they are I'll just have to have them fix this or give me a new one. Preferably giving me a new one I kind of don't trust this particular laptop already. But when I get it back or fixed I will try after burner again maybe it was just not working because the GPU was half dead But if it doesn't I'll try the AMD settings I kind of forgot that thing had its own performance monitor I'm pretty sure Nvidia does too it's just not as good.

I figured they were going to do what most companies do and try to fix the one you got. So very happy I don't have to fight to get a replacement so I'll get all my Alienware sound effects back too

I'm just having them send me a new one because I like everything about the laptop other than the fact that the main point of it broke. I wanted another amusing all AMD system like my old Asus G15 Advantage. That way I could make a bunch of videos showing how the 7900M does. Since there doesn't seem to be too many people out there with that model yet it's mostly 4080s and 4090s.

Yep although so far im not having a great time the 790m already died or the Drivers are so bad it can't function properly. I was getting grey screens and then Windows would disable the 7900m until I reinstalled drivers. Though I guess this does happen if you buy new hardware that hasn't had any time to work out the kinks. Or I was unlucky and got a borked 7900m.

@@lrmcatspaw1 That is a possibility but the fact that it was working a little bit with some gray screening and whatnot and then all of a sudden now it doesn't do anything makes me think that it's plain broke. But if the next one does the same exact thing then we'll know it was just drivers the whole time I just don't want to be stuck with a $3,000 laptop that can't edit can't game and can't do much besides just look pretty (which of course is going to be an opinion Not everybody is going to think it looks pretty)

So far all is well besides the AMD drivers causing black screens on the laptop screen. Luckily I'm using an external monitor so it doesn't affect me. But I constantly try the new drivers in hopes they fix that so I can actually recommend this laptop to people. As it is one powerful laptop but mostly don't want to deal with issues on such an expensive item. But that's less than my G15 Advantage when I bought it ($1600) so for $1400 it's for sure worth a try.

@@mohanadaqadaqad I just have to fix mine I don't believe my Advantage is completely dead most seem to think it's a VRM overheating issue. So ordered some new thermal putty and some new Kryosheets as I don't feel I gave the first round a fair chance. They bought some more PTM in case the Kryosheets do not work well.

oh wow Great Review!! very helpful. I just bought one with almost exact same specs, but i have the 4080 coming instead of the radeon. have the amd processor tho. same 480 hz screen and 32 ram. Anyone know if there is a review with the amd ryzen with 4080 nvidia 480 hz? it seems like what i ordered is an odd combo, so makes me worry. but if its video drivers more and not chipset drivers?

Thank you very much! I think all my issues were due to the 7900m I guess I messed up you have to use the Alienware/dell dvers for the GPU. Plus I think my 7900m was faulty from the get-go as I had grey screen issues even when I could get the thing to use the 7900m. So I think you will be fine with the 4080. Plus in RT games you will pull ahead of this system and is not good at RT. I just let my subs pick this one out as they like all AMD systems as they are not very common vs the intel Nvidia counterparts.

Hi, I have the I9 version. You mention Alienware sounds. Please, can you let me know where they are and how to set them? I've checked Control Panel sounds setting, but I see the standard Windows sounds only, and as such, my machine sounds just like any other. My first one had odd alien sound effects for the UAC for example (before I disabled that) But my new laptop doesn't make any special noises. All just normal windows noises. So not sure what was going on with my first one. Or I was just hearing things.

@@XxViciousxX Hi Vicious, thank you for your input my friend. I very much doubt you were just hearing things lol. Your comment got me thinking... Do you still have your old Alienware lappy, you might be able to transfere the sounds over to your new one. That would be pretty cool. No such luck for me as I've never had an Alienware before, but I'm going to have a look at my older Windows xp machines. They had some cracking alternative sound effects. If you hadn't posted here, i doubt i would have thought of it, so thank you again. Do you have one of these m18r1's? I was wondering what you think of it. I've come across so many issues with mine, some being the Windows 11 system, others being the laptop's system problems and others with the hardware. I've not seen any reviews where they have actually used the machine other than to play games on. It might be ok for that, i don't know, but I definitely would not recommend it for any other use. How are you getting on with yours?

@@skinny6372 So far mine has been working great the only thing that screws me is the old AMD driver Can't even use my Editing software as it doesn't know what either GPU is. But other than that no more lockups or bluescreens. Some games have a stutter every now and again only certain games do it so I think it's GPU driver-related again. But soon as they get those under control I will be completely happy with my purchase. Well now that I got my replacement. The first one just had a dead GPU I thought.

I returned mine as well. Tried the Asus Strix G18, went through 2 of those, returned both. I'm gonna wait for their M18 R2 with intel to come out and probably pick that up........AMD seems to be lagging behind on usable/working drivers for the Alienware M18.. I'll be waiting for the M18 R2 w/ intel to come to best buy.

Yes unfortunately since they were the only ones with this GPU they were slow which sucked Drivers are pretty decent now so the experience on this laptop is much better now. But still not perfect yet.

Yeah that's what it's looking like I'm very surprised I somehow got it to cooperate enough to get some benchmarks and a tiny bit of gameplay. So it is either getting fixed or preferably they're going to give me a new one because I do not trust this particular laptop after what just happened It couldn't even last more than 4 hours before completely becoming pretty much just an editing PC It can't even game as well as an ROG ally or steam deck as it concurrently only use its 610M GPU which is quite a bit slower than what's in those handhelds.

@@BevelForty-th7ge It would be cool if other companies had the 7900m I wonder if Alienware paid to have it exclusive to them. Like what Asus did with the 3D cashe 16 core CPU. Don't get me wrong I really like the look of this laptop and it's made of metal nice keyboard. Speakers are a little eh no better than my 1600 G15 Advantage maybe even worse. the screen is good I like the 480hz makes everything so smooth. But all that is useless if the main thing I got it for is broke. So we will see what happens I'm hoping the new one is flawless.

@@niebuhr6197 It seems to be very temperamental if I reinstall the drivers for the 7900M enough times I can sometimes get it to play a game or get through a 3D Mark run but then it will always randomly gray screen than windows will disable the 7900M saying something along the lines of Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems code 43. Now when I try to reinstall the drivers no matter what I do I can't get any games or Windows to let me use the 7900m. So far all I can use is the 610M which as you can imagine is not good for gaming especially on a $3,000 plus laptop It's not cool when a Steam Deck or a ASUS ally is faster at gaming. So I'm pretty much planning on calling up alienware telling them what happened and seeing what they want to do about it hopefully they'll just send me a new laptop but they might want to try to fix this one I'm just worried it's going to do what cars do and be a lemon and just constantly break all sorts of things. But on the other hand I really don't want to wait 2 weeks from going to build me another one plus shipping didn't take too long That only took like 2-3 days.

Yeah, I don't trust this one even if they wanted to just replace the motherboard I'd rather just get a totally new unit I did not even get a chance to reinstall all my apps after reinstalling Windows. Plus I want my Alienware Windows sound effects I know it's just silly sounds but that's half of the fun of Alienware. So if I get a new one it will be back to fully working in that department as well.

@@rockyrocks6346 Yeah I think the 7900m has a power delivery issue I noticed that during the short time, it was working the light on the power brick was slightly flickering but then when the 7900m died no matter what I did the light did not flicher even a little bit. So I think bad power killed the GPU.

Same machine, same problems, finally got starfield and fallout 76 downloaded. Then all sound and black screen, no video. Did all update’s including new bios 171 and still f’n broke. Returned to Best Buy for a refund yesterday. F Alienware going back to ASUS.

My last laptop was an Asus G15 Advantage and it only broke because I was messing around with it (hence why I even bought this one) I will still give this laptop one more try as lots of people seem to want to see its performance. But I get how most people would be done with the brand after getting a laptop that does this. While this laptop is being sent back for a new one I will try to fix my old laptop I'm not convinced it's completely dead.

I'm hearing really bad things about this combo of m18 and 7900m. Seriously probably much better off with any of the $2500 rtx 4090 laptops. If you insist alienware, there are always stickers.

I mainly want the 7900m so that's why I'm going Alienware. I did always want an Alienware back when I was a teen and couldn't afford them. But I know they are not the greatest but from what I was reading once you get one that works it tends to work great for many years much like my Asus G15 Advantage (which would still be working if I had just left it alone). But I basically let my subs pick this laptop out when my G15 died. They like all AMD builds as they are not as common ad the Nvida intel counterparts.

Yeah, either the drivers suck or my 7900m is dead I get constant grey screens and then Windows disables my 7900m and tells me the GPU has problems and has been disasabled.

I have a Lenovo legion 5 with R5 5600h and RX 6600m 100W. The drivers from the lenovo website are outdated and do not work properly. I solved the problem by manually installing 2 drivers from the AMD website. Before that, I turned on the hybrid mode and uninstalled the driver via the AMD Cleanup Utility. I first installed the driver for the integrated graphics(vega 7) and restart. After that I installed the driver for RX 6600m and I solved the problem. Since the release of the amd driver 23.11.1 I have not had any problems. Maybe this will help you considering that 7945HX has 610m integrated graphics Windows update should be paused or disabled. Automatic driver updates on Windows 10/11 must be disabled.

I actually installed the latest drivers which is what got me into trouble. It let me install them restart then informed me they weren't compatible then black screen no matter what. So I had to install Windows again. Then tried just using their drivers and still couldn't get the 7900m to stay alive. I thought I had it at one point. But after about an hour I was working on editing a RU-vid video on my main PC and heard the laptop fans start spinning up really loud and then before I could even reach it to see what was up it just shut off. So after that, I tried ali can do t get the 7900m to revive but have had no luck. It still; works but you can only use the 610m which is much worse at gaming than even my ROG Ally or Steam Deck. So that's a no-go for $3000 they have to fix that for me or preferably just build me a new one. as I don't want constant problems. But thanks for the tips I always appreciate the help.

@@XxViciousxX I had a similar experience with the Lenovo Legion when I installed only the driver for the 6600M from amd. The integrated graphics did not work and had a yellow warning triangle and the battery did not last long. The laptop threw a black screen when I switched to integrated, while I was not in the BIOS switched it to work only on 6600M (MUX-Switch). Not to mention how windows update caused problems with the driver. The drivers from the Lenovo website are from 2022 and have not been updated. When I installed the driver from Lenovo, the integrated one did not work and I had no access to Adrenaline. But I solved all that by installing the driver first for the integrated one and then for the 6600M from amd. And now everything works without any errors. I even have access to Adrenalin and the SAM option. The Smartshift function works for me in hybrid mode and the battery lasts 6 hours. The biggest problem with most amd advantage laptops is the manufacturers' lack of interest in regularly updating the drivers and the stupid windows update that constantly deletes the drivers and downloads them from the manufacturer's website. AMD is not to blame for the drivers, they update them regularly. I don't know if your laptop works if you first delete the drivers and then install first for 610m and then for 7900m. Since it is an expensive laptop, it would be best to wait for new drivers from dell. Otherwise, Alienware with 6850m XT had problems with drivers.

But I could try using DDU and then install the 610m and 7900m drivers off their website in that order and see if that works when I used their drivers I did not get black screens. I really don't want to reinstall Windows again if it goes back to black screening. because I have a feeling Dell will want someone to do that remote access thing to check out (they did this trying to help me get my Alienware Windows sound effect back) and I'd like them to just see the device manager with the yellow triangle saying the device has had issues and has to be disabledled.

@@XxViciousxX I don't know how your laptop will work after my advice about the driver. I solved it on my Legion and someone from reddit who also has a Legion with 6700m 10GB. I'm 100% sure it works for Legion.If you have reddit I can send you pictures where you can see the adrenaline and all the information and settings on the legion.

For the life of me have to be honest how could Dell ship this laptop in this condition too you? I have the M18 R1 13900 rtx 4080 and always battling thermals but after seeing this vid a two others have to wonder about Dells Quality Control at this point. No idea I thought everything was good until I tried to update the drivers which I did on my old laptop and it never had an issue. But I have a feeling even if I didn't try to update the drivers and just tried to start a game I would have had the same issues of gray screens and all that stuff. I'm 99.9% positive that the 7900m is just fried. I'm not even sure how I got it to cooperate long enough to get some 3D marks and a tiny bit of gameplay. Right after I got done making that video I thought to myself well since the GPU is actually cooperating maybe I should try to get a couple more gameplay videos made before it totally dies and then after that it totally died right when I tried to get some Forza horizon 5 gameplay. So today I'm going to spend my day probably trying to get Dell to either give me a new laptop preferably or fix this one. But I hope either the next one works great or they fix this one because as you said this should be a really nice laptop.

I was actually very happy with how Dell handled everything I figured they were going to fight like I said but they just said no we want to send you a new one and they were very very apologetic. Now luckily I still have my Steam Deck plus a Steam Deck OLED 1TB on the way plus a ASUS Ally and a couple desktops I can make videos on in the meantime. I also still haven't given up on my old Asus G15 Advantage I'm pretty sure I can get that thing working again so maybe I could make some videos on how I got it working if I get it working.

Well, the 7900m already broke so it did not beat the Asus. Hope the next one is not also broken in some way. not a great look for a $3000 laptop lol. @@Levover I let my subscribers choose I was going to either get this or a SCAR 17 with a 3D vcache and a 4090 everybody besides two people were on board with this one so that's why I went with the all AMD one Plus I didn't have any big problems with my AMD advantage that weren't caused by me so I don't really have a big issue with AMD I think I just got a lemon It happens sometimes but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth I was all excited to get my new alienware just to have it be slower than my steam deck and ally at gaming.

I was thinking that so I even tried DDU and told it to pause Windows updates and still got a random grey screen and then it disabled the 7900m saying Windows has detected a problem and this has been disabled or something like that.

ya this is user error on the driver part but Alienware's fault too after owning 3 its a little hard to get the right versions of the drivers you need for the GPU my guess its an AMD thing not really an Alienware thing iv owned the last 3 thats came out all with NVidia and not had one problem guess i wont be going AMD after all with my new laptop thank you

The GPU was dead that was the main issue with the first one that's in this video. Then when I got my new replacement I found out the 480hz screen was the cause of the black screen so anyone with the higher resolution screen will not have that issue. But since I have it hooked up to a 240hz OLED I haven't really had many issues. There is a little stutter here and there but for the most part, it's been a great laptop now.

@@XxViciousxX I also tried to disable 8 cores to see if it affects the temps, cpu just boosts 8 cores that’s left to higher clocks and voltage, same temps lol. Currently limited cpu power to 70 watts as I don’t wanna stress it too much and higher wattage leaves diminishing returns, but using all available power for gpu since it’s more important for gaming

Also I went stock out the box with no updates at all and tried to load fallout 76 and it said drivers need update and didn’t even run. And new drivers crashed the system. F’n junk. No way we both got the same problems, on the same machine, same specs and they’re both defective . Dell is garbage.

Well, hopefully, my next one is not also doing this. If so it must just be these things are not ready for prime time or have some fatal flaw of some kind. Don't get me wrong I'd love to test out the 7900m but I'm not going to accept a nonfunctional laptop even if it has a cool GPU ( especially if that GPU is broken)

На ноутбуке advantage поможет отключение cpu boost (3.2 ггц по всем ядрам будет максимум), либо включение power mode "best power efficiency" в windows 11 (эта настройка есть в новых настройках питания только), в этом режиме процессор будет потреблять много только при наличии реальной нагрузки например игры и не будет излишне нагреваться, сам по себе advantage это холодный ноутбук

Я так и сделал температура cpu 80 . Gpu 77 . Armory create silent mode. Производительность упала. Если ставить в armory performance температуры высокие.

@@D.a.h.a.k.aкогда ставишь performance после этого нужно power mode поменять на power efficiency, armoury crate будет возле performance выводить восклицательный знак и просить восстановить настройки, нажимаешь нет. Попробуйте так расскажешь помогло ли, проблема что если переключить режим в armoury crate то эта история сбрасывается, так что не супер удобно если любишь переключать режимы

Если поставить performance в armory , режим питания нельзя сменить . Сейчас поставил в armory windows mode , режим питания энергоэффективность. CPU 89 gpu 85. Если менять режим питания производительность или энергосбережение, схема питания не меняется, всегда сбалансировано.

Yeah, it is a little silly i think they indeed it to be for esports people. Just like my old laptop had a 300hz screen. But I feel like most people would play on an external bigger screen if they were playing a game like that. I take my laptops to my friends to play games like CS and Warzone so it is nice but let's be honest it's never hitting no 480fps in any game other than maybe CS. Honestly, I wish I could have picked a 165-240hz 1440p screen but this was the only option for this 7900m.

I used to have almost no money but got lucky and made some risky decisions but they paid off in the end and I feel very happy finally being able to buy stuff like this. Lol yeah top of the line laptops tend to do that. The Intel version of this does the same. Luckily the GPU stays at like 60-70 degrees so the entire thing is not super hot. Just that 16 core 32 thread CPU they put in there.
