I have both Cronos and San Martin watches in my collection and I can see myself lean to Cronos more when it comes to regular wearing. For the price, Cronos delivers the best experience you can get imo.

Nice video! My favourite Cronos is my BB39 smooth bezel black dial. Fit and finish is superb, the bracelet is class and the clasp excellent. Also glows probably the best of any of my AliExpress watches!

Thanks for the look at these. Personally I prefer mineral over sapphire, and especially cheap sapphire, with its milky tint at the edge issues and Sapphires terrible reflection probem. Cheap blue anti glare ruins watches.

I think the Thorn shy033 has a better lug width and mineral crystal.

Mineral has different optical properties than sapphire and it feels warmer to the touch. Difficult to demonstrate on video.

Hello and good luck with your channel. Thank you for putting time and money to try watches from the new wave of Chinese mechanical watches. So we can make better decisions. I would like you to mention the most important points, which movement, diameter, between lugs, strap/brecelet taper (from x to y) and detailed finishing. It's good if you have the option to put dimensions as long-lasting text on the screen. As well as you saying what your wrist circumference is (every time so people don't have to ask) It makes it easier to compare. Finally, I may wonder what is your dialect! Best regards.

Prob is I have some very similar watches already but like the pvd case on black strap on first view. Always been put off by ideas of it scratching. / wearing off.

Thanks for showing us the watches. I prefer steel over titanium anyway. I wish Cronos would get back in the game a little more. I remember a time when they were San Martin’s main competition. And thanks for helping John from John’s Watch Joint while he deals with the stupid issue with EBay.

The difference might be tax. Also, prices on AliExpress fluctuate regularly. A sale starts 1 June, so you might see better prices tomorrow.

I bought a Chronos homage to replace my old Parnis homage. Very disappointed. The bezel does not align and Chronos said the videos I sent showed no issues. Additionally when I wind the watch it feels like the movement is full of sand. Hoping if it dies they will honour the two year warranty. Too busy to battle them. I was hoping my Chronos would live up to the RU-vid ravs. It looks great but was only a minor improvement over the much cheaper older Parnis. Buyer beware!

Sorry to hear that you've had issues. My own experience with Cronos has been very different. I suppose every company makes a lemon now and again. If it had been me, I would have immediately opened a dispute with AliExpress and requested a free return, as soon as I received the watch and noticed that there were problems.

Problem is apart from the bezel, which can be parked between clicks in alignment, slipping occassionally, the watch is beautiful. And thankfully, I don't wind it too often as it usually starts moving the moment you pick it up. Thank you again.

I live in Australia and have joined Aliexpress, but their webpage doesn't work at all . I am not sure is it is a spoofed one but the address on the emails is Hong Kong. I tried to buy 4 different watches and all i get is "try again " or blank pages that don't load. I even got watches listed in USD and tried in vain to key in the Australian AUD version but it was locked on France. Can you post the genuine Ali Express link at all ? Please. 27 May 2025

This has happened to me a few times. Sometimes there's a glitch that mis-directs you into another country's version of AliExpress. I just cleared my browser history, including the cookies and it was OK after that. Hope you manage to resolve it. Thanks for watching 👍👍

I like to have watches of different sizes in my own collection. I've got everything from 36.5mm to 47mm. There doesn't seem to be as many large watches getting released these days though. Cheers, I really appreciate that! The sale doesn't start until 1 June, so the prices in the video are the current prices from the last few days, when I was making the video. The brands featured in this video usually do discount during sales, but at this stage I don't know what their discounts will be. AliExpress also normally provide discount codes for the sales as well. I usually post these codes on my community page, as soon as I know them. Thanks for watching!
