Zelos and Seiko are the brands with the largest presence in my watch collection. About half of the total collection when combined. They're different enough to be their own thing while also similar enough in approach where I can certainly consider Zelos the Seiko of microbrands. Zelos wins with bracelet quality, quality control, and specs while Seiko has their own unique understated design language and it's much easier to get a Seiko due to mass production, a double edged sword in this case as quality control becomes exponentially more difficult at their production levels. Both are affordable but not cheap, as far as automatic watches go, even with the price increases of the past few years. Both are awesome watch brands as well with something for everyone, if you can find and buy it. As a note, that titanium frost blacktip also features an enamel dial which is typically only found in much more expensive watches
I got the AD2043 BB homage automatic, and it is spectacular! 200m water resistance, NH35 movement, sapphire crystal, and screw down crown for 170 AUD is a steal. Love it to bits.
This might be a little too late to ask but i really liked the black suede strap used in the video, where can i possibly get something like that or the exact same one? Cheers.
I've left a link in the video description. Just click on "more" or "show more" under the video title and this will take you to the description, then scroll down to the section for straps. The suede strap in the video is the very dark blue version but there's also black available. Cheers!
Hi, this is a little bit of topic but since you have a lot of experience with Ali express watches ,do you know how is the gold plating done on a Cadisen day date? 🙏
@@DragoM128 Sorry mate, I don't know for sure. At a guess, I'd say it's PVD but it's just a guess. They've got their own website, so I'd suggest contacting them. In my experience, they are very friendly and helpful to deal with.
The problem with the San Martin watches is the sharp edges on the bracelets and interior of the clasps. I see few talk about it in the videos, but besides me there are many complaints and everything remains the same.
@@rickybest007 I mentioned this in the video and confirmed that there are none of the sharp edges on the bracelet that people sometimes complain about. Thanks for watching 👍👍
@@rickybest007 That's true, sharpness is not acceptable...from any brand. I've only experienced "edginess" from SM in the past, I've never had anything sharp enough to cause injury or discomfort.
@@TimeForAnotherWatch I received my first and maybe last one about 1 month ago (SN0138) and it's quite uncomfortable, so it's something that still happens and unfortunately doesn't belong to the past.
@@rickybest007 I'm really sorry to hear that you had that experience. If you do decide to buy from them again in the future, I hope it's better next time. All the best!
The champrred polished crown guard is what drew me to the 0129, at the time there was only the standard and dune dials. The 0130 is nice. Loses the polished guard but has polished inner bezel and centre links. I like them both. I asked them why they used male endlinks when it first was released they said for fitment. I see what they mean. The male end links actually curve lower the the bottom case.
Very nice. I definitely will be picking up a version of the SN0129 in the future. But this one is a bit large for me. I have a 7in wrist and could probably pull it off, but my perfect size is really a 39mm. Thanks for the great review!
They should have perhaps left the bezel blank, like they did on the 3 hand version of the SN0129. It might have looked too plain on the 130 though, as the bezel is wider. Thanks for watching 👍👍
What I like better about it than on the 129 is the fact it has no crown guards. I know I could wear it but a San Martin with 42 mm and male end links is out of my comfort zone.
Hi folks, thanks for watching! Please let me know what you think about this one in the comments, cheers! BTW, to see my full review of the SN0129, here's the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wp3n8_4q_XE.html
A £30 bargain made possible thanks to another Chinese manufacturer as such a lovely looking watch and now it’s being offered at a really great affordable price. So many other people have a chance of now owning one. Brilliant 👍
It's a very dynamic dial, so it changes according to the ambient light. It's a warm, coppery bronze colour. I wouldn't describe it as especially light or dark, more mid-range. Great looking watch though, I've kept it in my own personal collection. Thanks for watching 👍👍
I just received my PD1733 today. I am so impressed with the look and feel of this watch. I really like that it only has the logo and automatic on the watch face and no other branding. This is my first Pagani watch purchase. It does not scream Homage or copy, the Milgauss was a unique watch in the Rolex line up and no where near as popular as a Submariner or Datejust so it really looks like an original design (to me). I love the color, I got the green, its beautiful. A work or dress watch, love it.
It amazes me that so many microbrands are better than seiko while costing far less, using AR coated sapphire, having vastly superior bracelets AND (final kicker) actually using seiko movements ! What a weird world we are living in. Thank you Aliexpress for giving us choice and cost savings.
I suggest you watch Marc from Long Island Watch’s video on Seiko “value drops” and “price increases”. He pretty much debunks the claims against Seiko. 🤷♂️
