One of the things I miss about the MK6 R was it's steering wheel. The Xuji wrap adds some extra grip to the stock wheel.

Thanks Tony. It's pretty hard to explain. I tied it off starting at the 6:15 mark by cutting the string and separating the connection from the needle. From there I just did a normal double/triple not. Try searching the internet on how to tie off, probably much better than my explanation.

That exposed stitching produces a horrible feel though where your fingers sit. The design inc original VW design is actually pretty poor - on other cars, the stitching is tucked in so the wheel is nicer to hold.

Nah Max, installed just fine. Double sized tape would be a nightmare to remove when I sell the vehicle

@@ilimit last weekend I installed the leather cover in my car using double sided tape and I feared that without tape the cover could slip I don't think the tape can leave residues, you can use alcohol to remove everything

@@maxneves good point but the 9-3 position should hold the wrap in place. I’m afraid the alcohol might ruin the oem steering wheel

I used the tape when I did it and it ended up damaging the OEM leather upon removal after about a year. Peeled the leather finish off the wrap.

What's your reason of watching the video if not to check out the wrap and consider doing it yourself? Then whether or not the video helped you, still gotta sht on the content creator right? Lol.
