In this video we do a bench review of two very popular micro helis, the Align T-15 is pretty new to market and not much content or Information on this heli. We all know and love the OMP Hobby M1! Can the T-15 compare to the M1?
38yr in the hobby and remembering my first heli in 1995 kyosho concept 30DX just dreaming of this technology I like both of these models! I went with a T15 and it's a great value at 195.00. I personally like the canopy shape and colors. Servo placement looks like a after thought and why yellow is beyond me! Lol I love the case Align included.
Great video Jeff & Thanks to Sean for sending you the T 15. I have the OG ALIGN 150 DFC, it also uses the App for programming. Apples to Apples, the OMP looks a bit nicer and a bit bigger. People who like the M1 better, have you seen Alan or Ben fly the T15? Both nice Micro Helicopter's!
I was actually just hanging out with Ben Stork LOL so personally speaking I like the M1 better I think it flies better it looks better it has more power and flies lighter. But the T 15 definitely is a great little helicopter
So I own the t15 and I will say I love the app and how easy it is to tune. I’m mainly a scale flyer and have it tuned as such, however; it also rips 3D. The Way I have mine set it totally flys like a bigger scale, super floaty and get about 6.5 min flight times. I will say that the omp m1 has better quality components such as the carbon fiber and just looks better overall
I do like the app and the tunability of the T 15. However I’m not really all that happy as far as flight performance with it. I feel like it flies heavy and under powered but it definitely flies good especially for a moderate beginner/scale flyer it’s a great model.
That Carbon Fiber you like so much is a Microheli product. You love your OMP more, and have had it long enough to do all the nice upgrades, not the fairest comparison! lol But, yeah, the T-15 does have kind of a goofy looking canopy.
@@nsbob70 Yes it is a MicroHeli upgrade, that’s why I said that LOL But even stock for stock zero upgrades the M1 is still far better than the T15 could ever be. Especially in flight performance. I think ALIGN really messed up with the T15 and could of done a way better job.
The open anti-rotation bracket is a great idea. It took me ages to adjust my Blade 150s collective servo arm length as had to take the whole head off. However the paint scheme on the Align looks a bit toy-like to me.
Very toy-ISH as well! I’m not a big fan of the canopy style and paint but I am a big fan of health thick the plastic is. I feel like the canopy should’ve been a little bit bigger give you a little bit more room and made a better overall looking model. The open antirotation bracket is very nice that is something SAB use to do.
The M1 looks way better. I don’t normally like to see one flies better than the other one! But I will say it does fly better than the other one lol M1 all day for me personally
I use a regular DSMX satellite, you can use the Kensun DSMX with a bind button. The OMP definitely fly’s better and has more power. The T-15 is definitely a tank and strong but fly’s heavy. I have a flight comparison video coming out tomorrow!
What are your settings on your spektrum radio for the t15? I'm reading the manual and on the idle 2 graph, it says 90% high with a 100 right below it, just trying to figure out what that 100 means
Yes it did! Cannot wait to get one of those little guys and see the differences. OMP definitely did a fantastic job on the M2 and M1 so I can’t wait to see how they made it better
I have both. I don't like t15, some times I could'n bind with my radio master.. I upgrade the firmware and receiver and the same problem... I loose my money with t15. M1 is really the best micro much better that t15!!
The M1 that you are showing is not stock. Stock M1 comes with plastic frame, black tail boom and black tail blades. Servo mounts are in silver not red.
Like I said in the video the only think not stock is main frame, but is stock on the new M1 EVO. The tail blades is just yellow, a stock option. The main frame is carbon but same exact servo lay out and motor and Electric layout.
I was just out side practicing with my m1 because im getting into bigger helis and want to get better. I was just hovering in all orientations and heli started jumping up and down on its own then the thing went full collective and shot up in the air. It wouldnt respond to anything but throttle hold. I hit hold and it fell out of the sky and landed in the grass with no damage. This is very strange. Now im scared to fly my bigger helis because im worried it might be my transmitter. Please if anyone knows what this could be let me know. Thanks
What radio are you flying on? My M1 has done weird stuff before. Normally it’s a bad servo or two. They are Toria‘s for going bad. But if it wouldn’t respond to nothing but brought a hold then the radio was communicating. If it was a radio loss issue it would not if responded to throttle hold.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 nx8.I took it inside and checked all of the servos. At least one of them wasnt working right. Soo thats probably what it was. It acted like signal loss until hold worked soo I guess one or soo of the servos are going bad and doing weird stuff. Ive had it a while and flown it alot without issues.
I’m still favoring the OMP over the T-15. The canopy on the Align is butt ugly, the servos should be black and tucked. Micro Heli the M-1 and you’re good to go!
My three biggest complaints with the T 15 are, the canopy! The servers! And how heavy it flies compared to the M1. They definitely should’ve done a better job on the canopy!
