I just bought this for my husband cause he always said he liked Alienware but seeing everyones comments on various videos has me sweating lol I hope its worth it, i got the M16 with a 4080, AMD 9 and the mechanical keyboard. 1 thing i hate about my razer laptop is its keyboard so the mechanical option sounded great.
Is there any downside on having onboard RAM? From My understanding is impossible to upgrade and if they go bad the laptop is basically garbage is this right or am wrong?
@@jackealmonistar251 you're paying for the brand. It often has worse specs than most other brands. The repairability isn't very good on most models they offer. From personal experience, I found that the keyboards are poor quality on newer models than the old ones. It took me longer to replace the keyboard and access the part than it did to program an application for my phone to track my own finances automatically and accurately.
Have you looked at the AMD series 9 processor how does it compare to intel i9. I had a msi with a i9 but only a nvdia series 3060 so I returned it and was looking at Alienware m16 and m18 with specs around what you have.
So.. I recently Purchased an M18R1 with the 4090, 165hz screen and I13980Hk. To add, I recently made the decisions and purchased a Samsung 990Pro/ with 2- 32gb 5600mhz Kingston Fury RAM cards from my research and I'm going to install them before 1st power-up. I'm going to have it all here and will put it together soon "couple of days" I'm super excited like its my first PC again 😆. TRULY, I hope that it will last as long as my "OG Nebula Red" M15r1 that I've beaten up for years and still use it today. I truly hope it impresses me like the M15 did too. The price for what i got has not been beaten yet from all the PCs ive seen...unreal for Alienware$$$ to be the cheapest with these OEM Specs... $2,750 is what i paid for this vefore tax.... with the 1tb M 2- 2280 and 32gb 4800mhz ram... 👽 *I paid little over $210 for the upgraded Fury RAM and $127 for the 2TB 990Pro* #STADhaters
