Funny because when you see her on interviews you can tell she is NOTHING like that in real life. Probably why she could play Nellie with a humorous edge; especially in scenes where she got her comeuppance.
@@fraiser3330 I think it should not have been easy at all for her to embody this bitch in the Little house on the prairie. It's amazing to see her in Love Boat, she is so cute !!
@@ludotickler9185 in an interview, she said she enjoyed played her. She had lots of issues so she took the opportunity to yell and throw things around.
I remember when this episode first aired in 1981 I was 6 at the time & wanted to watch the episode cause I saw previews from the week before & I saw the pie in the face so that's why I wanted to see that episode , good ol Nasty Nellie Ollsen
when I first saw I thought she was acting a little to nice but as soon as I heard "i know we're going to be best friends" I knew she was going to act normally like she does with Nellie oleson
I like Allison Arngrim she's a great fantastic actress did a great Nellie Olsson her character was similar on this love boat episode. Real life she is a beautiful loving person and gorgeous looks great body too
Alison really is this friendly and kind in real life. She is very funny and very amazing! :) well besides the part where she tries to keep the "little runt" out of her hair. lol
@@JacobNightingale Nonsense. It’s quite obvious even in this video when she isn’t playing nasty she was quite attractive. When Vicky approaches her on the stairwell outside for instance. She’s older now like all of us are and looks different but she’s aged quite well.
@@kristabrewer9363 Thank you soooo much for mentioning this! I have been trying to find Love Boat episodes and had no idea about this. Thanks! You rock! :)
I remember when this episode was new. I always liked Love Boat...it was bright, and cheerful. I was age 15 when this show premiered, and I never missed the eps. Famous TV stars and singers of the day guest starred on it.
The Love Boat theme and Barney Miller's, Welcome Back Kotter's etc. all signaled the end of the day. The family ate, watched these shows on tv when they were scheduled to run, and we finished our homework early to watch. It was a special time.
What a biarch I was cringing all the way thru poor Vicki getting the shaft but some sage words from Capt Stubing which actually ring true and Vicky was big enough to take high road. One of the best theme songs ever and especially during Covid (quarantine).
#MelissaSueAndersonFan I enjoyed both #MelissaSueAnderson And #AlisonArngrim #TheLoveBoat Both #Woman Were #desirable in my Young Years as Well #80sSitcoms Sincerely Always, Dave Minnesota
You would have thought they would have given her an entirely different roll to play, like a sweet young lady, falling in love with a nice guy...just saying! 🌼
Ok, boomer. Deal with it. Gays, non whites, and sexually active people outside of marriage exist. I love how you liked the good ol days, but failed to mention the parts where others suffered because of bossy, self righteous douchebags like yourself (*and those that agreed with your stick up the ass opinion)
Lady Chayne You sound like a self-righteous douchebag yourself. Take your libtarded SJW nonsense somewhere else. No I’m not a boomer either (not that there is anything wrong with that).
I saw an interview once with Ron Howard and he said how he acted bratty one time on the set of "The Andy Griffin Show". His dad spanked his butt on the set in front of everyone and he never did it again. He said that's probably why he never went off the rails during his Hollywood years. Too many of those kids are allowed to run hog wild because they are making the money and the parents let them. Aunt Gert needed to take Becky to the woodshed one good time and she would have chilled out with all of that mess. LOL!
