why should Alison brie be questioned for someone else's actions, she is only slightly related to him, if anything she is supporting her husband. And why not ask Dave the very same question?

This is very true. It's like what is she going to do? Divorce Dave Franco because of his brother's actions? It really has nothing to do with her, and I'm sure it's been very hard on her so why bring it up?

I'm a huuuuuuge Alison Brie fan so I'd rather she didn't have to deal with this but "why bring it up?"......Because being silent and giving your friends and family a pass is what allows this stuff to keep happening. The allegations about Franco may not be true. It's possible. She, along with the friends and family of all accused, have the right to decide if she believes the allegations or not. But unfortunately the questions have to be asked to those close to the accused. A certain percentage of those accused are innocent, but it's a small percentage. Asking the question may force those close to the accused to re-evaluate what they have seen from their friends or family. It's very easy to make excuses for those close to you for 2 reasons. 1. You don't want to believe that someone you love could be capable of such things and 2. It's a horrible thing to deal with just being close to someone who commits such acts. It tares friends and families apart. If Franco was guilty and Alison believed he was, she could hardly associate with him. What's worse, if she believed he was guilty and her husband did not.....? Now you have a serious problem. People don't want these things to be true because it's traumatic for everyone close to accused and the victim, so they pretend that it didn't really happen in almost every case. That is why we are here. I doubt it can ever change but not bringing it up is certainly the way to make sure it doesn't. I certainly agree they should be asking her husband before they go after her. Again, I'm so in awe of Alison Brie. She is incredibly talented and seems like a genuinely nice person and it sucks that she has to deal with this. Can't wait for season 2 of Glow. Rewatching season 1 now. Best of luck to Alison and I really hope this doesn't cause her too much stress.

Who questioned Ben Affleck when Casey Affleck was accused of sexual harrassment? Who questioned Matt Damon? I found it unfair that people questioned Alison especially because she's his sister in law and it's not fair to assume she has a close connection to what's going on. But she had a really smart classy answer so props to her

I don’t think it was appropriate for them to ask her about that situation. She was there nominated for own work, she’s a working actress. It’s not like she’s only there because she’s James Franco’s sister in law (even if she was, still inappropriate). Just Ask her about her show, her nomination, her upcoming work etc etc and leave it at that.

She's a genuinely polite person for answering the way she did, because she easily could have been like "so because my husband's brother has allegedly harassed some women, you're asking me about it at an awards show? Maybe ask Dave... or literally anyone else."

Very classy answer for a totally unprofessional and dumb question. Alison Brie doesn´t have to respond for someone else’s actions. However, she was so intelligent and good spirited in the way she answered. On the other hand, Juliana’s question was aiming at sensationalism and cheap tabloid sensibility. She simply does not learn her lessons.

This is when you realise these actors aren't just actors but mini industries unto themselves with a whole team of people that depend on them for work (management, fashion, personal staff, as well as studios with which they have contracts). As such they are expected to make careful and highly diplomatic public statements that don't endanger the livelihoods of all the workers that depend on them.

Exactly my thoughts. When she started talking about the “more facts” and “not entirely accurate” she completely invalidated her support for the cause. You don’t get to not believe this set of women just because you’re related to the accused.
