Reminds me of my first love that was ending when I was 20 years old. We had been together for 4 years and we were just two young kids who gradually grew apart. Its kind of bittersweet now looking back. It was a sad time when it ended but i'll never forget the good times I had with her. :)
Not just her... The entire band is amazing... their live dvd is completely astonishing... they never ONCE play a bad note and they have such a calm, professional attitude about playing music. They have got to be the most talented, respectable band i've ever heard. Now, onto Krauss... yes... THE best voice i've ever listened to. Again, never a bad note, and she sings with such grace and feeling.
Great video, I would prefer to see it performed live (concert footage.) She never misses a tone, perfectly. No hit and miss. I am one of her biggest fans, but video stuff like this, eh. I realize it's a necessity for most country stars.
I finally found a video where it seems appropriate to use the little snowflake app. They work well here. I haven't had a new favorite since I first heard her singing twenty years ago or so.
What's up with leaving the car door open, the lights on, and the left turn signal blinking, and then walking past the car on the way out? On the one hand, it conveys rushing to his house, but that seems in contrast with the slow tempo, and the thoughtful lyrics. Is it to create unresolved emotional tension, perhaps mirroring the meaning of the song?
i love alison krauss and union station and together they're amazing at the end of this song on the cd, if you wait like two minutes it's them starting to play "momma cried", then someone knocks one of the instruments down idk, its kinda funny(:
I look out of the window into my garden every night but I never see Jerry and the boys there. I wonder why Alison never noticed them. Perhaps she was too upset.
Its wierd how this song actually explains the feeling of insecurity rather than jealousy.... its ok to be honest but when some one is depressed cause they realize thier partner cheated on them its so rough to get back to that feeling of love
Her music and voice are unsurpassed, but I wish that whoever does her music videos would put more time into making them more entertaining and less like a funeral.
Wrong. I'm a hispanic woman, and I'd be HONORED to sing, be in a video, or in the same room with Alison, Emmylou, or George. It's just a matter of taste though. Music is universal.
I love this song but what does she expect of a bartender.. in the "Let me touch you for a while" video she met him while he was bartending.. From my personal heartache.. stay away from the bartenders at clubs because they meet so many people it is bound eventually for their eyes and body to stray from you.. Never date one!!!
