In this video we create an abstract landscape watercolor painting using wet on wet techniques with palette knife, cut off credit card and spray bottle wash on cold press paper. I hope you enjoy!

I am so happy to hear this. Thank you and welcome to the channel! Yes, my goal was to really create a relaxing and focused experience for the viewer. There are so many voiceover flavors of tutorials out there already. When I paint I need to be quiet and focused and talking while painting was not going to happen :) Feel free to ask me any questions on my process.

Hello Rodney, thank you for sharing your approach to watercolor with a knife. I am impressed ! Your colors are luminous, I like your semi-abstract landscapes which lead to daydreaming. It's sublime, congratulations. You use D.Smith tubes. Would you mind giving me the names of the colors you use most often? Kind regards

Thank you so much. I probably have too many DS colors. But if I had to choose a small set I think it would be Payne’s Gray, Indigo, Lunar Blue, Mayan Blue Genuine, Aussie Red Gold, Quinacridone Deep Gold, Sepia and Sap Green. I use those the most although I try to challenge myself often to use new hues.
