Breakaway cable is first on when hitching and last off when unhitching for obvious reason. It's an important part the B+E Driving test here in Ireland.
Good instructions. In addition, The red button directly on top of the towball on the AKS3004 pops up when engaged. When the green edges are seen, correct seating of the vehicle towball has been achieved. Bit raising the car is a good fail safe check. Also worth reminding people to have the correct towball on the vehicle. If you have a towball fixed with 2 bolts on your vehicle, it needs to be a high neck towball as per your video. A standard towball will damage the AKS head
Brake away cable should not be hooked around to tow ball, as it can bounce over the tow ball in transit. Therefore will not apply the brake if the hitch was to come loose from the vehicle.
