I’d flip flop into the spider verse and across the spider verse. I felt Into the spider verse was a much more tighter film, better soundtrack and the Leap of Faith scene is one of the most memorable things I’ve seen on screen. I’ll say across the spider verse was absolutely stunning with all the animation styles and I like that they gave Gwen a back story. I just felt overwhelmed by everything happening but it’s still an amazing film.

Spider-Man 3 is a great movie . Sure it might lack the perfection of the 2 movies before it but still its a very watchable film and to me a perfect conclusion to the Raimi trilogy. Yeah i can call myself a fanboy as someone who grew up on the raimi trilogy but still after a bazillion rewatches it's a great trilogy as a whole and it will remain as my favourite trilogy.

I do feel like Spider-Man 3 is one of those retrospective movies that really is very watchable from a certain POV. For me, TASM2 is the worst of the pure Spider-Man movies, though there are elements to enjoy there as well. Thanks for the video, Austin!

Across the spiderverse is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I've seen it multiple times so my opinion is pretty clear on it. And if the 3rd one is great too, my opinion of across the spiderverse will only improve. Can't wait for beyond the spiderverse

I think people are starting to convince themselves that SM3 is actually good, for the same reasons that same demographic is starting to believe the prequels are good. 1: Nostalgia of their childhood. 2: Loving the memes (who doesn’t?). But those are ironically funny and enjoyable to see. Not straight up good. It’s a so bad it’s hilarious thing. But people have gotten them mixed up over time. 3: They have the biggest plot moments. SM3 is the culmination and finale. People are using similar reasons to say ROTS is the best Star Wars anything (which is blasphemous). It has the most consequential and biggest plot points of the saga. And people confuse that for being the best, because the biggest things happen in them.

As a kid, Spider-Man 2 was my least favorite in the trilogy for the same reason it’s my favorite now. It’s barely about Spider-Man and it’s mostly about Peter. As a kid I really couldn’t care less about the deep stuff and the third movie has a lot more action and Venom was dope as a kid, I don’t care if he was too skinny for the role.

PART 2 OF COMMENT 6. Spider-Man: Far From Home (Very Good) I think a bit of the humour is a little cheesy and forced - I feel like Mr. Harrison was made into a bit of a bumbling dummy here for more unrealistic laughs, whereas in Homecoming, I felt he had elements of that, but was still realistically competent. The plot is "comic-booky" in the best way possible - Lots of delightful, imaginative twists and turns, in a rather grand plot. Mysterio is an excellent villain - His calculating nature is on wonderful display, you can clearly see his genius and it's a joy to watch his mind processing and planning things smartly onscreen. His illusions are incredible, and he and Peter have a genuinely good brotherly relationship, so that when he turns into a villain, it's definitely felt and the impact adds to his threat level. However, and I've only realised this recently, the fact that a Quentin Beck from this universe that looks exactly like the Quentin Beck from another universe is a plot point definitely deserving of more detail, regarding the expected investigation done by Nick Fury and co. and how Quentin handles this - This undermines the whole aesthetic of Mysterio fairly strongly, as the audience asks understandable questions which are given no answers, instead, being completely ignored. MJ and Peter's romance is endearing, being delightfully awkward, and it feels authentic. The action is a step up from Homecoming in a great and natural way, as Spidey gets more experienced with higher stakes in the superhero biz. The final battle is excellent, as is the illusion battle (...beat down), and the other action scenes are good. The multiple supporting characters is a lovely element, and they all get enough to work with. 5. Spider-Man (Great) Some of the CGI is dated now. I don't know why the Green Goblin is doing anything after he kills the board of directors, but the film is aided here by its campy take, and the Goblin just being a loon. The Goblin is a strong villain, very threatening, and with a campy "tough guy" attitude in the best possible way. The Spider-Man origin story is very well-told, and gets its point across with an engaging story, good pace, and heart. The action is strong, being wonderfully intense when the Goblin comes into the picture. Harry, Peter, and MJ, the central characters, all feel intricate to the story and are given their due, feeling very personable, and their motives, clearly defined and understandable. 4. Spider-Man: Homecoming (Great) The cute, chuckle-worthy humour is completely on-point in this film, making it feel very charming and delightful. The Vulture is an excellent villain, wonderfully integrated into the grounded, lower level perspective of the film, with an element of dimension due to his understandable motives, and he's personable due to a relatable, gruff dad attitude. Peter's high school life is set-up and balanced very well with the superhero stuff. The action is smaller scale and so generally, not highly impressive, but makes sense since Spidey is starting out. The MCU references are fun and a delightfully realistic addition to the film and its humour, while the film still remains clearly a Spider-Man film. 3. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Great) Some more explanation should've been given about Doc Ock's plans for if Kingpin's family's molecules start to come apart when brought into their universe. Kingpin is a great villain, very cold, intimidating, and threatening, but with an excellent human motivation to humanise him. The film has wonderful emotional heft thanks to the Prowler and Miles' father's involvement. All the Spider-Men are characterised very well, being given distinct and endearing personalities. The humour is completely on-point, being hilarious. The visuals are spectacular, and the unique comic book come to life direction for the film gives it a fresh, vibrant, and exciting personality. 2. Spider-Man 2 (Great) This film is impressively, firmly a character drama first, and an action one second. It's still a superhero movie though and should have strong action, and it definitely delivers the goods - The train scene still takes one's breath away to this day, being wonderfully dynamic, kinetic, fast-paced, and exciting. The other action scenes are strong too. The character drama feels very down to Earth and real, it's given all the time it needs to feel palpable and emotional, and Peter's struggle in the film is very involving and emotionally engaging. The film expertly explores the essence of Peter Parker - His struggle to reconcile Peter and Spider-Man's life, and the detrimental effects that this has on his personal life. Doc Ock is a great villain - I love the horror movie motif he's given - The hospital scene and the way the ground shakes as he approaches. He's also a very well-done tragic villain, and his story is very sympathetic. Regarding flaws, I don't know how Doc Ock located Peter at the cafe. 1. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (Great) This film is suitably slower paced, and it makes you feel the weight of what's at stake regarding the intensely emotional situation that's on display regarding Miles' father and his fated death. The movie's visuals are more stunning than ever, and the action scenes are fun, fast-paced, and dynamic. The main Spider characters are wonderfully well-realised with their different personalities and viewpoints. The family problems regarding being Spider-Man for Miles are also suitably well-realised, the movie fantastically showing the mundane problems and the larger than life problems that come with Miles' world, to give his life true and palpable authenticity. The cliff-hanger creates excellent intrigue and excitement, but the movie still feels like a complete film and experience. The humour is fun, sharp, and vibrant like in the first film, while it still expertly keeps its justified ominous, tense tone.

12. Let There Be Carnage (Just a nothing movie) 11. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 10. Spider-Man 3 9. The Amazing Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are fantastic, but don’t care much about anything else) 8. Venom (Surprisingly entertaining, the story isn’t great but Tom Hardy is hilarious) 7. Far From Home (One of the funniest films on this list, but very flawed as well) 6. Spider-Man (The two OGs are basically equally great imo) 5. Spider-Man 2 (Probably should’ve been higher up, but I’ve never really had a strong connection to the Raimi films but it’s still great) 4. Homecoming (A very refreshing Spider-Man movie imo, and Tom Holland might not be as good an actor as Maguire/Garfield but I think he’s pretty perfect in the role as well) 3. Into the Spiderverse (I didn’t love it the first time, but it has really grown on me and it could easily be number 2) 2. No Way Home (Mostly fan service, but it’s so satisfying. Not as effective on a rewatch tho) 1. Across the Spiderverse (one of the greatest superhero films and animated films I’ve ever seen and by far the best Spider-Man film imo)

I think Spider-Man no way home story is as good and as strong as nwh (I felt that Tom’s Spider-Man had a stronger character arc/story than miles character arc/story but peter b Parker’s character arc/story was the strongest) I also felt that the message in nwh was as strong as spiderverse (anyone can wear the mask) in the way it says every choice has consequences and you have to take responsibility and try to move forward. What do you think Austin do you agree your the expert on movies so I am wondering what’s your opinion

The problem I have with MCU Spider-Man is that they skipped his origin story in Civil War and Homecoming which I wouldn't mind it because I've seen the origin story many times before but they knew Spider-Man was never Spider-Man in these movies, they (probably ?) knew he wasn't going to be Spider-Man until NWH and didn't even try to make him responsible, he never feels like Spider-Man, I didn't really like any of them apart from CW and IW, Tom Holland could have been the best Spider-Man and he got so wasted in FFH and NWH and I'm not sure if I'm even going to see his fourth movie, because I'm so sceptical and scared of being disappointed again, especially if they're gonna retcon NWH ending and will introduce either Ned or MJ again...

Spider-Man 2 is the best Spider-Man, and I will die on that hill. It’s my favorite superhero movie, period, and yes in a genre that includes The Dark Knight (my 2nd fave superhero movie ever).

13: Spider-Man 3 (My least favorite movie ever! I hate how Uncle Ben’s death was retconned, the dialogue is poorly written, and I despise the amnesia plot line. Don’t even get me started on Venom and Bully McGuire!) 12: Morbius (The greatest movie ever made! Makes me want to Morb everytime I watch it) 11: Amazing Spider-Man 2 (A really messy, dumb movie with way too much going on) 10: Venom (I enjoy this movie and Tom Hardy is great in the role, but there are a lot of problems) 9: Amazing Spider-Man (This movie isn’t bad aside from some stupid moments. It’s just kinda bland and doesn’t understand Spider-Man) 8: Venom Let There Be Carnage (I saw this movie Halloween day and me and my family absolutely loved it. I still really like it as a good laugh. Plus, Woody Harrelson and Tom Hardy stand out as always) 7: Far From Home (Does certain things better than Homecoming, but severely falls flat in some story areas) 6: Homecoming (A flawless high school reinvention of Spider-Man, injecting him with John Hughes comedy. Also, it made the Vulture interesting) 5: Spider-Man 2 (Has one of the best, most iconic action sequences in the franchise with amazing villains and themes throughout) 4: Into the Spider-Verse (Fully deserved the Oscar! A cinematic masterpiece that gets all the praise needed!) 3: Across the Spider-Verse (Cranks everything up to 11. More of everything. More emotion, longer story, and WAY more variants/Spider-Verse fun) 2: Spider-Man (Unpopular Opinion: My favorite Raimi Spidey film! It’s a simple origin story done incredibly! And who doesn’t love Willem DeFoe as Green Goblin?) 1: No Way Home (A love letter to Spider-Man and Spider-Man fans. It’s great seeing all 3 Spidey actors. But it’s not just nostalgia, it’s also an epic, fun, emotional story that had my jaw on the floor)
