Rogue One is pretty high up there for me, They didn't need you to fall super in love for everyone cuz most of the crew wasn't gonna last but tbh Rogue One does a great job of emboldening A New Hope. I think when season 2 of Andor comes out it will make Rogue One feel more like the Series Finale for it rather then a standalone movie
Man i have so much nostalgia for the force awakens! It has its flaws but it's still one of those movies I love to watch every now and then. Oh also for the rogue one characters? Baz malbes, chirrut imwe, jynn erso, Caspian andor, Bodie rook, and k2so.

@@user-ly2ll5od1r The only thing that bothered me with that scene is the GCI. Other than that, I think it's amazing we get to see Leia actually using a force ability for the first time. And just the fact that she can survive for an amount of time in space just shows how strong she's in the force.
It’s an abortion, it is the reason TROS had no chance. I don’t care how well made it is or how great the cinematography is. It took a dump in all the original characters. I should have walked out when Luke threw his lightsaber away like trash.
I honestly love all of Star Wars for one reason or another so I could only say my top 3 films are The Empire Strikes Back, Rogue One and The Last Jedi (I went to see TLJ at the midnight release in 2017 and have loved it ever since!) But tbh, any criticisms I have of Star Wars I don't feel strongly about. I'm neutral on those criticisms and they don't detract from my overall enjoyment. I'm here for a fun time, not a long time and I enjoy all of Star Wars 😂
I think Luke's character arc in tlj was very well done, it's just the fact that he was going to kill his nephew is so dumb. Interesting personality and subversion of expectations, but how he got that personality is what I don't like.
I disagree, the idea of Luke recklessly whipping out his lightsaber and striking someone down in a foolish attempt to prevent a horrible fate of his friends isn’t unprecedented since he did the same thing with Vader in ROTJ.
@@briishbananabread I never said it was Palpatine, he may have tried to strike him down right before the lightsaber duel but that wasn’t the main point I was previously making. I said he tried to do a very similar thing when Vader, his own father, threatened that he will turn Leia to the dark side in which Luke immediately went berserk in response.
@@kaiserz0154 yeah but in that instance he was 30 years younger & being manipulated by the 2 most powerful Sith to exist in a millennium. He was a Jedi master when he thought about killing his nephew. Rather than learn from the mistakes of his father & the Jedi before him as his character arc from the Original Trilogy would suggest, he sulks & whines about the Jedi being full of themselves. Seeing a strong, wise Luke who realized there must be balance in the Force & led a new generation of Jedi under a new, less flawed doctrine would have been much more interesting than "bet you didn't see that coming" IMO.
@@ioncewasmikey I disagree. Sure, Luke may have overcame the temptation in striking down Vader and Palpatine, but what he faced inside Ben’s hut was different. It’s one thing when a villain threatens to turn your sister to the dark side, but sensing a future that your nephew will become a monster that will bring the death of everything you love is something else entirely regardless if you’re a master. Luke has faced with this issue before in Ep V when he sensed the future that his friends were in pain before they even arrived on Bespin. He immediately dropped his training and rushed to his X-wing while ignoring his masters warning and paid the price for it when facing Vader while his premonition came true despite trying to interfere. And another difference between his temptations in Ep VI and VIII was how Luke overcame the desire to save his friends through striking someone down. In VI, the reason why Luke didn’t kill his father was due to Palpatines overconfidence. His boasting was what snapped Luke out of his rage and allowed him to recognize what he was doing before deciding to quit playing this game. In Ep VIII on the other hand, there wasn’t anyone to stop Luke from making this similar mistake. This time the only one who stopped Luke from killing his family member was himself. But the tragedy here was that even then it wasn’t enough, it was already too late. And just like that, this seemingly small brief moment of weakness sent decades of hard work in building a new Jedi order in flames in an instant. At this point, Luke was convinced that he can’t trust himself nor the Jedi in helping the galaxy and believes that they’re better off dying in the past with him by being purposely inactive. And yeah, while I understand why you wanted Luke to go in a certain direction, I really like this continuation of his character arc. Seeing him truly wrestle with this burden as the last Jedi, dealing with the failures of the Order as well as his own, and struggling with wether or not he’ll truly let the Jedi die with him once and for all. Only for him to be confronted in this belief by Rey and even Yoda, opening up on his feelings and mistakes, truly understand the value of failure and learning from them, letting his Jedi legacy continue on in the next generation, confronting his fears and saving Leia and the Resistance in a never before seen display of the Force that truly embodies the Jedi and his masters teachings. All of which feels a like a truly worthy continuation of his overall arc that further explores and adheres to how he was written in the Original Trilogy.

About half of the movie is terrible (Rose, Finn, Holdo stuff) but Luke, Rey, and Kylo get their best moments it the movie so half of the movie is really really good
@@IARESMART8My only issue with Luke is the fact he attacks Kylo. I understand he’s human, but it betrays the entire character arc of Luke in the originals. I think it would be better if he was cynical because Kylo turned to the dark-side despite his teachings to begin with.
But he doesn't attack Kylo, he considers attacking him for a brief moment of pure instinct before coming to his senses. But by then it's too late. He never wanted to hurt Ben but his fear took over for a moment. It's a great scene because it reminds us that all of us, even our heroes make mistakes

I love your videos, but our ranking are fairly different XD not insulting you, of course :) Here's mine: (Ranking 15 and 14 was difficult) 15 The last Jedi, because I really really don't like the story 14 Rise of Skywalker, same (I don't really like or dislike 13 to 11) 13 The book of Boba Fett, big meh 12 Solo, the film was ok 11 The Force awakens, good start for a trilogy, but I didn't rank it higher partly because of the wasted potential (I love everything from 10 to 6 so it was kinda difficult to rank) 10 Attack of the clones, yes it have flaws, like the romance on Naboo (very cringe) but it qualities are surpassing its flaws for me 9 The mandalorian S1, it was great 8 The Phantom menace, because 7 Obi-Wan Kenobi, same as AotC 6 Return of the Jedi, it would have been higher if the ewoks weren't as proheminent in the final battle (I mean, the Empire lost to them? My ranking of everything Star Wars Live Action: 15. The Phantom Menace (4/10) 14. Attack of the Clones (4.5/10) 13. The Rise of Skywalker (6/10) Kylo Saves this but this movie has aged so bad for me. 12. A New Hope (7.5/10) it’s just too outdated at this point. Great moments but this movie shows it’s age like no other. I respect this movie just never revisit it. 11. The Force Awakens (8/10) Kylo is a beast but it’s just a rehash. This is the definition of mid Star Wars to me. I enjoy it just don’t love it. 10. Book of Boba Fett (8/10) Mando saves this show. It was fine otherwise 9. Solo (8/10) Very Fun movie 8. The Last Jedi (8/10) Kylo, Luke and Rey good, Finn, Rose, Holdo Horrible 7. Return of the Jedi (8.5/10) Good Final to a fantastic trilogy. 6. Mando season 1 (9/10) Great show with a fantastic start just lags in the middle some 5. Obi Wan Kenobi (9/10) Sloppy yes, but god damn I love this show and no “leaks” or nitpicks can change that. Vader is the best he’s ever been in this show. ( Episodes 3,5,6 were fantastic.) 4. Rogue One (9.5/10) Fan service done right with good characters (yes I can name them all.) and a fantastic 3ed act. This movie is the only Disney Star Wars movie that felt truly Star Wars. 3. The Empire Strikes Back (10/10) Truly a iconic movie that made Star Wars what it is today. Do I have to say anything more. 2. Mando Season 2 (10/10) This is Star Wars done right. Perfect mix of Prequels Og’s and new Star Wars. Great characters with great set up for Mando season 2. 1. Revenge of the Sith (10/10) Best Star Wars period!!! The movie is the high ground and it’s “perfect”.
Great ranking! My ranking of the live action stuff is: 1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens- movie that holds a really special place in my heart, I love the characters and story so much 2. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi- Luke Skywalker’s belief that his father isn’t truly lost was so powerful to me as a kid, and still rings true now 3. Star Wars: The Mandalorian- absolutely blew me away, I love the characters and this world so much, this is the way 4. Star Wars: The Last Jedi- Luke, Rey and Kylo stuff makes this some of the best SW ever, Canto Bight bogs it down just a bit 5. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back- perfect sequel to a perfect movie with the greatest plot twist of all time 6. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story- Beautiful movie with the highest stakes I’ve seen in all of Star Wars 7. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith- Awesome and tragic at the same time, always leaves me satisfied with the film every time I watch it 8. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker- Messy, yet epic conclusion to the saga, good definitely outweighs the bad overall 9. It’s just so insane how many different Star Wars fans there are this channel obviously thinks the prequels are bad and that the sequels are pretty good. While I do not agree and think revenge of the Sith is the best Star Wars movie and has the best and most complex story revolving around politics good and evil and how a hero can fall from grace and when people actually take the time to analyze the movie and it’s themes it’s brilliant unlike the sequels which are just a mess

Episode 1 I don't hate any Star Wars, but episode 1 does so much I don't like with the chosen story line, taking away the mystery of the force for me, and not connecting to Obi Wan saying I took it upon myself to train Anakin..Thank to this film that wasn't true he was pushed into it, also the cgi and trade federation stuff I'm not a fan of. 13. Episode 2 I actually like this film more then most, the stuff with Obi Wan I loved, but the horrible romance and the relationship between Obi Wan and Anakin being poorly done, as well as having the worst acting in the series. 12. Book of Boba Fett problem with this show is the best episodes were without Boba Fett, and I don't think his character stands out now especially compare to Mando which I loved his episode in this show. 11. Rogue One if we were ranking best final act in Star Wars this might be number one..But the first and 2nd act of this film imo are just boring and I don't feel attach to the characters in this one, all the scenes with Vader are golden :) 10. Episode 3 the best of the prequels, I absolutely loved this film when it came out, my only grip being Anakin's fall seemed rush and still not a fan of cgi, it's to bad Episode 1 and 2 didn't really show you that Obi Wan and Anakin were like brothers, but really I enjoyed Episode 3 a lot. 9. Episode 9 boy if you asked me how I felt about this film leaving theaters I would of had this at number 12, I was so hyped for this film and leaving the theaters this film upset me the most with how rushed everything felt Rey no longer being a nobody, but I've come to enjoy the film a lot as I love everything with how they used Leia, with how great the redemption of Ben was even though it wasn't what I wanted, loved the story no matter where you come from you can chose your own destiny and family. 8. Solo I actually have no grips with this film other then there is no real stakes, this movie is just a fun ride from start to finish very underrated imo 7. Episode 6 I absolutely adore everything from this point, Return of the Jedi is awesome, but the middle act of this film drags a bit, and at the time this came out Luke and Leia being brothers and Sister didn't make much sense since there was a 3 way love interest going on in the last 2 films, everything with Luke and Vader is perfection though..Though if I view this as Anakin fulfilling the chosen prophecy then it makes the moment less meaningful to me. 6. The Mandalorian I have to put season 1 and 2 together, though if you want me to say which season I like more it's season 2, all I can say is I love everything about this show I'm torn if I like this more or Obi Wan, but this show is near perfection and is the one thing right now that fans don't fight about lol. 5. Obi Wan series Mandalorian and Obi Wan are basically equal to me, the reason I have Obi Wan high is because I loved what they did with Obi Wan and Leia's character, I love that it connects well with Return of the Jedi, when Vader says Obi Wan once thought as you did, as well as adding more depth to why Han and Leia called their son Ben I just love that stuff. 4. Episode 7 this is my all time favorite movie theater experience and that's saying a lot, after being let down with the prequels all my worries about Disney buying Star Wars was put at ease with this amazing film, many will complain it's like A New Hope but that was done by design, it's also similar and different to a New Hope my only minor grip is Starkiller base another planet killing weapon, also this film has my all time favorite clif hanger :) 3. Episode 4 what more is there to say about this film without this there is no Star Wars, imo a near perfect film. 2. Episode 5 a complete perfect film that I thought would never be topped, this is the reason why I love Star Wars so much and shows how a sequel can top the original, everything from the music score to the characters especially Vader is perfection, also my favorite character in Star Wars makes his first appearance which is Yoda. 1. Episode 8 many will disagree and that is fine, this film may not be perfect but imo it's very close and the reason I have over my favorite film for the last almost 40 years is because of everything with Luke and Rey and Ben, everything with these 3 is perfect, this film has my favorite scene in all of Star Wars with Yoda and Luke, to Luke and Ben on crait, to the throne room scene to even imo is one of the best openings to a Star Wars film, and the scene with Luke and R2 is very touching, imo this film is a love letter to Star Wars fans thank you Rian Johnson for making a classic.

Padme was just the straw, the jedi talked so little about emosions and connection so it was not something they wanted for jedi. So anakin needed padme becuse the jedi chould not help him. Plus he saw the flaws of the jedi from before but especialy then

@@Harrison1875 I actually quite enjoy the first part of the movie, with the assassination plot etc. But why I rate it so highly is because this was the first time we explored things like the lower levels of Coruscant, visited Kamino, actually learned about other species (Gungan culture were basically not explored in Phantom Menace) and got a sense for the scale of the galaxy. Still, id say Attack of the Clones is an average movie, similar to TFA but for different reasons. TLJ for me is super sad. I do like the general themes, and I do think it is a better movie than most other Star Wars movies on its own. But it completely forgets that it is a Star Wars movie, and with that part not only of a trilogy, which it butchered, but also of an entire saga and tons of other material, which it has to respect but didnt. For the sequels themselves, the last jedi took a 180 degree thematical turn in the second of three movies and barely left any plot line of interest for the final movie to explore, while leaving most of the ones setup in the first movie unexplored or badly wrapped up. For the galaxy as a whole, things like the holdo maneuver cannot just be introduced. If we are to assume that she is the first to ever perform it, all other characters that have ever existed seem a little stupid. Why not just ram the death star in light speed, right? If we assume, as were told, that its a one in a million shot, the problem isnt as big, but that again ruins all of the setup for it in TLJ because then Holdo basically risked everything on a million to one shot, and would otherwise just have sent the rebels to their death and fled. Similar with force ghosts interacting with nature, and force projections, flying using the force, hyperspace tracking, sudden fuel shortages, bending turbolaser shots... Those concepts sound awesome in a nutshell but cause the other movies that came before to make less sense, now that it has been established as a possibility. And finally, the canto bight plotline is just a straight skip for me. AotC and TFA are about equal to me, but when talking about star wars films, I cant give tlj any more credit than I already did

I agree with literally everything you said here lmao. This ranking is very similar to mine Well except for Return of the Jedi. I would rank that one about the same as Revenge of the Sith. They both have long stretches of boring stuff (the scenes on Endor and Utapau all suck) but they’re saved by some great scenes that almost make up for it

Since I really love watching your videos I expected to also mostly agree with your list. But damn it couldnt be further away from my own opinion. Rouge One is easily one of the best movies and honstely Obi Wan Kenobi, The Book of Boba Fett and especially the Rise of Skywalker are by far the worst Star Wars there is IMO. But i still respect and really appreciate your list and opinion. Great to see how even of I can‘t really appreciate certain Films or Series someone else certainly will! :)

You put TLJ on 4th spot while admitting that large parts of it are badly executed or suck. That's weird. TLJ is the best looking SW content cinematography-wise but that's about where it ends for objective praise. However I agree that TRoS is worse. That's the worst of the worst for me, can't even lace TPM's or AotC's shoes.

My personal top: 1. Revenge of the Sith and The Empire Strikes Back - simply best movies of entire saga. 2. The Clone Wars Show - best star wars show, that fixes the prequels 3. A New Hope - a legend, everything is just great in that film 4. Rouge One - just good movie, that shows the sacrifices of rebellion 5. Mandalorian show - interesting story and lovely characters 6. Return of the Jedi - weird beginning with strange rescue plan, but an amazing ending 7. Solo - just good film 8. I think I`ll just put The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones on one place. I have no problems with those movies, even with the weird dialogues. 9. The Book of Boba Fett - week project 10. Obi-Wan Kenobi - total disappointment. The only thing, that good in this show is Obi and Vader interactions ( wich is only happens on 2 episodes and always gets interrupted by Riva...). Main problem of this show - is that it`s not about Obi-Wan, but about Riva`s "redemption". And she - is one ofthe most unlogic and poorly written characters ever. She lost everything because of Empire and hates Vader with all of her heart and yet, she is willingly killing others jedi, cutting peoples hands off, kidnapping kids, torturing them and tries to kill them. But in the end, show wants us to sympathize her. Just stupid show. 11. Here is the hole sequel trillogy. It`s just bad. TFA - ruins all our loves characters completly. Han, Luke, Leia ended up being complete losers and idiots. TLJ - totally distroys Luke character making of him pathetic coward. And TROS somehow tries to fix all of this, but messes up. New chacters just boring. Rey - is just Mary Sue. 7th and 8th episodies are happening in one week (give or take). And during this one week, Rey os turning from a girls, that`s never heard of jedi and never held a lightsaber in her hand into a fully trained jedi. And in the 9th episode she has a Yoda level of force...

Hate to be a cliche but Last Jedi and rise of Skywalker is at the very bottom of my list. Last Jedi seems more like a filler episode in every aspect, esp with the casino excursion that was an absolute waste of time. Rise Of Skywalker seems almost like a Series Finale that they just didn't care about, maybe the storyline that was started in Bad Batch and heavily hinted in Mandalorian will help that but I wish they could use Ezra saving Ashoka as away to fix the Post Force Awakens timeline

I hate the population scale these movies and shows have. Like Earth has like 8 billion people. Even millions of clones or droids shouldn’t be shit in the scale of a galaxy of hundreds or thousands of planets. Courscant is a planet where you can’t even see the surface because it’s so populated. It’s also the capital of the republic. The population of Courscaunt should be many times more than Earth, tens of billions and you’re telling me that the Grand Army of this planet with many supporters and Allies isn’t also in the billions? A million soldiers, clone or droid, should not ever be enough to capture a whole planet

Weird list. Personal opinion though interesting to see different views. The stand out is how low Rouge One is. Unfathomable, so many actually terrible films rated above it.
I like how this is a real, personal take and not just the usual “StiLL a BeTteR fIgHt thAn ST aM i RiGht?!” I don’t think people have to like every movie in SW, I personally don’t, but since the PT and onward there has been way more hate than genuine criticism on in the internet when it comes to SW and it just ruins the fun of liking SW when no-one seems to be satisfied with anything even slightly sub par to their high expectations.
Ranking best to worst: 1. Ewok Adventures 2: The Battle for Endor 10/10 (best story, cinematography & character moments in the entire Saga) 2. The Last Jedi 9.5/10 (same reasons as above, just no Ewoks) 3. The Star Wars Holiday Special 9/10 (gotta love Boba Fett's 1st appearance. And Chewie has a baby!) 4. Ewok Adventures: Caravan of Courage 8/10 (the sequel greatly improves on the great ideas introduced in this one) 5. Book of Boba Fett (Boba Fett's character evolution was handled so well & the scooter gang was awesome!) I haven't really bothered with the rest since I heard these were the best but happy to take recommendations!

I don’t understand why you like Kylo Ren, he just a villain I have no respect for. He’s not intimidating at all because one minute he’s a total bad ass and the next minute he’s a weakling. His character is so consistently inconsistent that it bothers me to watch him.
Interesting ranking, if people have a problem with it, that's their own fault. Everyone has their own opinions. My ranking: 15: Attack of the Clones. I get the memes and all, but seriously THE ONLY good parts about this movie was the Yoda vs Dooku fight and ofc, crop top Padme 😉. Never enjoyed this movie a lot compared to the others. Its an important movie for sure, but come on - everything else sucked. 14. The Book of Boba Fett. Disappointment across the board. I'll forever have memories of "LIKE A BANTHA" stuck in my head... but it was better than AOTC in my eyes. 13. The Last Jedi. This isn't dead last or 14 simply because of Kylo. The ONLY good part of this movie was the progression of Kylo's arc and the scenes he was in. And of course, BEN SWOLO BABYYYYYYY 12. The Phantom Menace. This movie... was straight up bland. The Duel of the Fates and the podracing kept my enjoyment of the movie above the others above. Plus, Liam Neeson was in this movie. Bonus points. 11. The Rise of Skywalker. Despite the many flaws of the movie and "Somehow Palpatine returned", I had some enjoyment. Bass lightning Palpatine, Kylo's arc being fulfilled, THEY FLY NOW? THEY FLY NOW!, Sith Troopers, General Pryde (low key an underrated character), Hux's comedic betrayal, and Kylo was straight up a menace for half of the movie. 10. Obi-Wan Kenobi. Disappointment, but unlike TBoBF, Kenobi had a lot of good stuff that I enjoyed. Vader was a badass and carried the show for me, even snapping a kid's neck ON SCREEN (bold move Disney, i can respect that). Vader will forever be the badass that he is, even under Disney. Vader and Leia being cheeky make this at least 10, but Reva and the poor installment of the Grand Inquisitor ruined some of the show for me. 9. A New Hope. Nostalgia at its finest, and the first. But I didn't get much enjoyment out of watching it compared to the other movies below. 8. Solo. Very underrated. It dictates how Chewie and Han became the bros that they are in the OT, the backstory of Han and Lando fully explained (the ending scene where Han pulls a fast one on Lando cracked me up more than I care to admit), DARTH MAUL, and Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson also added some bonus points. 7. Rogue One. Also underrated. It was a movie that did not hold back on the plot armor (or lack thereof). Every main character faced their death, an ending to a Disney movie that was new and interesting. Felicity Jones and Ben Mendlesohn were excellent. Also, the best Vader scene ever was in this movie. That scene instantly puts this movie in the Top 7 for me. 6. The Return of the Jedi. There might be some people with pitchforks at the ready for this, but I simply feel that this movie is slightly overrated. Boba Fett's "death" was just plain weird and how does Ewoks, a primitive species, somehow win against an enemy 100x more advanced than them. HOWEVER: Luke vs Vader, awesome. Leia killing Jabba? Awesome. Vader's redemption? Awesome. I love this movie, but the plot armor is prevalent. 5. The Mandalorian Season 1. Badass bounty hunter with a moral code fights anyone in his way to protect his foundling. Nuff said. 4. The Empire Strikes Back. I get this movie is beloved and said to be #1... I can't agree with that. Yes, "I am your father" was iconic. Yes, the Imperial March was first introduced here. I just can't find enough enjoyment of this movie over the others below. ITS STILL A GREAT MOVIE. 3. The Mandalorian Season 2. Badass loner deals with strange adventures and effectively becomes the leader of the Mandalorians out of pure accident lmao. Boba Fett here was awesome, Luke hallway scene was magnificent, the Thrawn name drop in the Ahsoka episode, just... mwah. 2. The Force Awakens. Yes, I enjoyed this movie the second most. I remember seeing the trailer for the Force Awakens and being excited for it, seeing the badass Kylo Ren was, the idea of a ex-stormtrooper finding his way to the Resistance and getting revenge on his captain. Kylo Ren trying to become like Vader was an interesting concept at the time, and I will forever love the movie despite that it was a sequel movie. 1. Revenge of the Sith. I do not care if its overrated (I don't think it is honestly), it will remain as my favorite Star Wars movie. Anakin vs Obi-Wan, Operation Knightfall, Order 66, Palpatine vs Yoda, the fall of Anakin, Palpatine's machinations all coming together, the memes, HELLO THERE! GENERAL KENOBI!... etc. An iconic movie for sure, and it has made its mark on the world.

Give it time. I think people are still bitter over Reva. And Rogue One was good. Jyn's father shouldn't have died.. or at least not till the end. It should've been Jyn Erso's entire mission to be with him and then die beside him in that last scene.
