Whaddup Gates ... Always wanted that type of pass rush specialist, either Chandler Jones or Haason Reddick so bad. Every year I’d hope but never believe it would happen. 😁

What's up 20/20! It's definitely nice to have impact pass rushers. They can disrupt the entire flow of a game.

Hey gates, my worry is still the run defense. Ik Gannon likes to play with a light box but I definitely know dallas will try to run the ball as much as possible.
@CoachHeitter

What's up Tito! Outside of week 1, we're tied for the 3rd fewest yards allowed on the ground. Over the last three weeks, we have allowed on average, 73.3 rushing yards. It feels like we have adjusted, and now that 5 man front has been real difficult to run on. Although, to be fair, I still think we get caught out of our gap assignment at times, and our tackling while greatly improved, at times can miss on some key tackles. On the season, when looking at Dallas, their numbers are not impressive. The only game they looked dominant was against the Giants. However, looking at the rest of their games, they have struggled. Tampa and Vita Vea shut them down... Zeke and Pollard had like 60 yards rushing. Then, last week, Payne & Allen really put the clamps on their running game. They held Zeke and Pollard to 55 yards. To be forward, after looking over everything, I think Dallas's running game might be largely overrated. In saying that, I don't expect us to duplicate what Tampa and Washington did against them. At the end of the day, I still think Zeke and Pollard are talented, and I get your point that we struggled to shut them down in the only game that mattered last year. However, after watching a couple of their games, I think their O-Line might be very overrated. Although, perhaps J.P. as a LG and run block specialist changes that view point come game time. If we can be in the range of what Cincy did against their run, a very accomplishable goal, we will be in position to win the game. They held Zeke and Pollard to just under 100 yards on about 24 carries. If we keep them between 75-110 yards, I think we will be okay. With all of that said, I think the cowboys should be more worried about what our run game can do to their run defense. Dallas is the 27th ranked rush defense in yards. Over their last three games they have surrendered 132.7 yards on the ground, which includes outright terrible O-Lines in Washington, New York, and Cincy. In their last game against Washington, they gave up 142 yards on the ground.
@titorios2543
@titorios2543 2 года назад
@@CoachHeitter yea, i agree. Dallas defense is susceptible to the run. There greatest asset is their pass rush, and if we can slow them down with read options that will definitely play into our hands.

hey maaan, how u dooooin? ive been thinking too much bout maddox being out. How bout to move nakobe dean to play nickel for us? he can cover the pass and also a smart player to recognize and react. D'you think that could me usefull?
@CoachHeitter
@CoachHeitter 2 года назад
What's up Bruno! That's a tough ask because the coverage responsibilities are very different between Nickel Corner and MIKE/WILL LB. Also, the athletic ability and what makes guys successful in those roles are very different. To me, the best path forward for Nakobe is to learn the off-ball LB spot behind T.J. Edwards and Kyzir White. Let the game speed slow down for him, and be an impact player on special teams. Then, slowly but surely, the in-game reps will begin to appear. This is just something I noticed on the All 22 coaches film over the past two weeks... They like playing Kyzir all over the field, and he is a unique athlete. Over the past couple of weeks, they have used Kyzir on a handful of snaps as a overhang, on-ball, SAM LB in the rush position. I think it's only a matter of time before we start to see reps where Kyzir is on-ball as a SAM, T.J. Edwards is your MIKE, and Nakobe Dean is the WILL LB. I think there is something here within Gannon's preference towards disguise. You got Kyzir White and add another overhang player on the LOS (Line of Scrimmage). The other overhang can be Sweat, Reddick, Patrick Johnson, B.G., or Kyron Johnson. Then, you walk T.J. Edwards and Nakobe Dean up into the "A" or "B" Gaps. At the snap, you drop Kyzir into coverage in the flats, and T.J. Edwards drops into his zone coverage responsibility. That would leave Nakobe Dean blitzing through the "A" or "B" gap, and your other overhang, the guy we put opposite of Kyzir rushing too. I think it's only a matter of time until we see this kind of wrinkle from the Defense.

Very very VERY good answer!!! Thanks for it!! When it comes to use nakobe and the LB group its perfect!! But thinking to upgrade the nickel position meanwhilr maddox is out, what do u consider the best options we have? Moving CJ-GJ to nickel and play some cover 1 cover 3 would be good against Arizona? We play at 2 cover high, right? So if we consider change it only at least maddox is back, its something that u would consider?
@CoachHeitter
@CoachHeitter 2 года назад
I would keep CGJ at safety. He has spent a lot of time learning the position, and we can still match him up even as a safety. In terms of the Nickel spot, I wouldn't give up on Josiah Scott yet. There is going to be a clear decrease in play between Josiah Scott and Avonte Maddox, but I think Josiah is better than he showed last week. Josiah has better ball skills than many realize, and he is really good as a short zone defender. He will jump a route on you. In my opinion, he just needs to learn the coverage calls. He definitely got away with one last week, and it's because he didn't know the coverage call. Also, I'm sure Dennard Wilson got on him about wrapping up, and driving with your hips all the way to the ground when you tackle. He was trying to arm tackle too much last week. I believe he would play better than last week if forced into action. He's still a clear downgrade from Avonte Maddox, but I believe he is better than he showed last week.

What's up David! Thank you for the comment and view. I feel your pain. Zach Ertz is an all-time Eagles great, and it's very strange to see him in a jersey that is not midnight green. However, it was time to separate with Goedert emerging as a premiere TE. Good luck on Sunday, and tell Budda Baker to take it easy on us.

If Johnson's out for any length of time, think that might be a path for Nakobe Dean to play some NFL snaps
@irishsteve2764
@irishsteve2764 2 года назад
@@Superhero18 I am not sure, he might. But I am pretty sure T. Johnson would be next man up if P. Johnson was to miss a few weeks. Nakobe Dean just feels like more of a LB you line up inside. Not saying we couldn't use him on the outside. But right now, with the way T.J. Edwards is playing it is so tough to take away snaps from him. I am also waiting excitedly to see Dean get more playing time, but the way this team is currently playing together I would probably not want to mess with their chemistry. If it helps, having this kind of depth is amazing. The tough question is, with the way Edwards is playing on a contract year and having Dean waiting patiently. Do we resign Edwards or let him walk and let Dean take his place next year. very tough choices ahead for us. But this season is too much fun to worry about the next off-season. lol

What's up Antonio! Hopefully the young man clears protocol and returns healthy. Concussion is a tricky word right now in the NFL.
