@@S-Fan2006 Oh yes, I believe that, haha. I think many players got it in this level since you can make a lot of mistakes and still get the purple relic. I think I had to change the difficulty of Cortex Castle after all the comments, haha.
@@grandePaoloDiCanio that trick is actually pretty easy. The relic is fairly tight but you always blast past platinum at the ending section of rude awakening. The toys for bobs ones I find really annoying cause you literally can't miss a single platform cycle or you'll just be so far behind. Swinging/moving ropes or platforms are your worst nightmare on relics I feel. My best time on it was 43 secs just 4 secs short of dev time :/
Game developers: “What’s a good Trophy we can give Crash 4?” “Well in N Sane Trilogy they had to get all the Gold Time Relics.” “Okay, then let’s up it to the Platinum Time Relics this time. That should work right?”
almost the entire game relies on mastering the slide-spin jump into triple spin combo. You hit the ground even a millisecond and you can do it again, even obstacles like barbwires or electric poles count as a platform and dont kill you. It's like the game was coded with the ass. You take a look at the 9 seconds WR of jetboard jetty and you realise how ridiculous the game turns out to be. It's not even a platformer anymore, it's like someone beating SF by spamming haduken over and over.
@@Demulant can you tell me what is the best plan to get all of the purple/toys for bob time trials? Like do you have to do slide spin and triple spin in a certain patter or something.....?
@@maikkeliplays9647 It always depends on the situation/area on how to use the slide spin/triple spin. When you jump, the triple spin is more useful. Practice your slide spin and triple spins since you will need that a lot and you should not fail it. Learn the levels and practice the areas where you got the problems. Using the checkpoints is a good way doing that. Don't start with Rude Awakening since that stage is very hard and frustrating. Start with A real grind! Try to find your optimal button layout. I mapped the mask power on R2. I recommend using the dash with r1 when doing the slide spin since it's a little bit easier for the hands.(I use the O button since I am used to it, lol) And super important: Never give up!!!
@@Demulant am i suppose to do it like this, on the ground, do slide spin. In the air, do triple spin. And when you use akano, do the akano glitch. Correct?
No, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
This is an awesome accomplishment! Getting the platinums was pretty challenging… the amount of practice and patience for the developer times is insane 😮
At this point i struggle with getting the gold relics but these videos are helping me out, i dont want the 106% bcoz thats p a i n but just see how far can i go, maybe the 100 percent, idk but these are really helping, thanks man and congrats for al the relics :D
idk if you read comments but I recently 106%ed the game and got all 38 dev relics, i studied your video and tried to replicate all levels. I feel very good about this achievement
I grew up playing Crash on the PS1 and thought it was pretty hard getting 20some platinums in Crash 3 but seeing this here is absolute insanity in terms of difficulty
As if these weren't already hard enough they had to include the spinning boost. Having to do it constantly is such a bs way to add difficulty. Amazing run!
Christ Almighty. Definitely won't be doing these or the platinum relics. Gold maybe, Sapphire probably, but holy shit that was some level skill that you showed off that I know for a fact that I can't replicate. Well done sir!
@@Demulant thanks for the answer. Is there also a specific reason why play as Coco instead of Crash? Do they have gameplay differences or is it just a personal preference?
I love this, I’m sure you must have put in aTON OF TIME… as I know I put in a good amount of hours just getting all the gems in each level alone.. I could only imagine beating every developers time… must have taken some practice haha props to you.. That being said tho, I can’t believe they would tie these time trial relics into the achievements… I’m just trying to platinum the game, and they want you to get all platinum relics, which is dam hard
I find myself coming to watch these videos every now and then, just to remind myself of how good I must of been to get the platinum trophy for crash.... I actually hope there is a crash 5 and just as difficult
CORTEX CASTLE The level that reaches the 10 out of 10 difficulty for the time trial. And it's ironically the only one I was able to earn the developer relic. Wow, I'm proud of myself.
Can't say I agree with the 10/10 difficulty for Cortex Castle. Been one of the easier ones for me. 😂 You beat me by 32 seconds, and I still got the dev relic.
@@Demulant Thanks! Never got the platinum trophy on PS4 due to burn out, so going back to it on PS5 now (you know, better load times), and aside from a couple I did with the other characters during my playthrough, this was the first one I went for.
I just got my first purple relic yesterday. 1:29.75 in Run It Bayou. I was aiming for the platinum, I was so surprised when I saw I got the purple too. Don't know if I'll be doing any purples again, but I'll keep going for the plats.
Going for that very difficult and extra challenge can sure be accomplishing! Take it from me, I'm now one of the few several people who went for this challenge and got all 38 TFB Relics at least once. I've done them all on one of my PS5 saves for Crash 4 and have considered it a once in a lifetime opportunity kind of thing.
@@Demulant Hey Demulant! I hope you can help me. I've just recently finished crash bandicoot 4 it's about time (2020) And I want to unlock The 106% ending bonus scene. Do I have to get all of the relics to unlock the 106% ending?
@@Demulant I know! I figured that out. you need the platinum relics to unlock the 106% ending! Those purple relics are called toys for bob relics! Remember that Dude!
@tellemstevedave5559 you don't need the 3spin to get the platinum relic there is a guide on RU-vid how to get all platinum relic with normal running and slide spin
Magnificent showcase of how a top-notch crash player be like! I have 106% the game recently, but these are still damn too challenging for me, have only got the purple relic for give it a spin (which you rated a 2/10 😅) guess I won't and cannot aim for another one haha
Good job and thanks! The rating has a big influence of my own so don't take it too seriously!! I am sure you can beat the other levels with the purple relic!!
Just out of curiosity, how would you rate the difficulty of platting this game? I was able to plat crash 1-3 pretty easily bar a few trip ups on stormy ascent. Just wondering how much harder this one is compared to say the others or just crash 1 itself?
I'm someone who's plat all 3 and finishing up the 4th with the flashback platium as my final trophy which is the easiest part id say its way harder then 1 being for me I thought 1 was easy except stormy accent but speed runs are easy just last 3 levels and some take time i HIGHLY recommend you change your control setting to L1 as your triple spin which u unlock when u beat the game and R1 as ur slide for speed runs the HARRDEST Trophy the insanely perfect relics took me awhile and alot of youtube to get each boxes and time without dieing id say its like a 9/10 diffulty or 9.5/10 takes some time i believe 70hrs for a normal player all together that is if ur not speed running the game but even then this game cant be rushed takes time unlike other crash games and has a 0.3% rarity as its Platinum
@@deathwish-cq7zz Havent gotten it yet, and the wait is a pain... I'm waiting for it to come out with the upgrades for ps5 on march 12th... Then I am hoping to get a good sale on the game...I literally am dying trying to hold out bc this game's difficulty looks right up my alley. Edit: I buy my games when they are cheaper too, lol...im hella cheap so yeah..
@@deathwish-cq7zz update, i now have the game and am making great progress, the game is not that hard honestly, however i am only goin for plat relics and not dev relics. to me perfect relics are the difficult part as the plat relics seem more generous than crash 1 did
Demulant, quick question: are the Developer Times, in overall and absolute terms, a harder challenge in Crash 4 than in CTR? After all, one is a platformer, the other is a kart-racing game. Simply learning a technique (air brake, U-turn, etc.) instantly knocks several seconds off of your runs. I'm about to get the Master Wheels on CTR (32 tracks beaten and only 8 tracks to go) and I have beaten 5 Developer Times on Crash 4 thus far (Home Cookin', Run It Bayou, Stowing Away, Crash Landed and Cortex Castle). Take "Food Run", for example. Platinum Time: 1:44:63. My time: 1:44:20. Developer Time: 1:26:91. I need to be 17 and a half seconds faster in order to beat it.
Hmm, I never played CTR so I can't answer that question for you. However, I think there are many new strategies for all the levels in crash 4 so it could be easier when you learn them.
WHAT THE SHIT?! No kidding, I honestly thought Caddicarus would have been the first man alive to do these (yes I know he said he won't do them, but he also said that about the N. Sane Trilogy Platinum Relics, and look where he is now) but Jesus, you perfected the worst relics in the entire series. I dread the thought of how long that took you.
Good job!! I manage to complete 5 TFB i will try others but for all that matters i really enjoyed this game, was one of the hardest in the crash games for this INCREDIBLE challenge that is do TFB relic
The times on these can be so ridiculous and I hate that the clock doesn't stop when you reach the end until it the screen goes black. That's some bs and has cost me a second or two. Props to you
This Game exist for a few Years and you have mastered this Game :D I will never reach one of them -_- Only this Try will destroy my Brain, my Fingers and my Heart xd
One word to describe this, and the idea itself of purple relics called developer time relics - cool! 😎 I imagine in the Crash Bash remake that comes some day in the future, there there are developer relics to earn, by winning FOUR times in a row against the arena champions. Pretty cool, huh? 🙂
Did you earn Out for Launch dev time out of order from the others? It seemed like your weren't hitting those fast slide spins. As if you learned it later.
Bro when I use the spin, it's give me the blue boost one time per 3.. How you can get the last boost spin always? I don't click fast on the button.. I don't understand
Yo, brother, it's all about timing and practice! Go to the first level, go to the beach and practice the timing! It's hard to get it at the beginning but you will get better very fast and then YOU WILL DESTROY ALL THE LEVELS!!!
On certain levels, how did you get time off your end results? Fossil Fueled for example, you had to finish before 0:52.90 but you finished at 0:55.50 which is 2.60 seconds too late. But your end result then says 0:51.99 which is in time. That means you got 3.51 seconds off your ending time. Is there some kind of trick you're using or am I missing something? I got purple too but I did not get time off at the end so I'm kinda wondering cause I got a couple more levels to go.
I got the perfect answer for you: "When you hit the Nitro button at the end the time crates near leftover nitros explode and those seconds get subtracted from your time"
@@Demulant thanks, good to know. I got almost all purple relics and will post em soon. Didn't know time gets subtracted with the nitro box so I tried to race to the end within the time limit hitting every box I found important. Which is a really good challenge but I'm happy that I got most of em done. Thanks for the information :)
Don't know if you know this but I don't think you do, If you time your slide spins you go much faster then just spamming them, It has something to do with the triple spin code, you pick up momentum. Seeing you play this, you might as well as just triple spin because your not gaining any speed
Do you have a tutorial explaining how you are able to go that fast? Obviously I see you are sliding and spinning but what else? Do you use the circle or R1 to slide? Impressive mate
First, thanks! I just made a small tutorial for it, which is that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BbJLcTdUZSM.html I made that very early but I think that should be good enough. I use the circle button for the slide but I recommend using the R1 button because it's a little bit easier for the hands!
@@Demulant Thanks for your reply mate. I see what you mean with R1 being easier on the hand, but it's so hard to break that habit of using circle, isn't it. I'll check out the tutorial, thanks for your content
My brain can't normally work out when to switch powers between quantum masks on Cortex Castle and you're here light speed ahead. No, thanks, I'm not doing the developer relics on any level. The only one I got is Run It Bayou which is the easiest imo
