I was lucky enough to start playing siege when outbreak came out. I had 3 outbreak packs for free and my first Pack was the legendary USSR skin :) so happy

The thing with Thermite’s goggles is that he needs them. The reaction in his charges kicks off high UV waves that will blind you, so he wears them to not lose vision from years of working with thermite. Though they could be sunglasses instead of stealing the goggles from Michael Phelps.
SLAAMIT Reinforcements could simply be hooked onto their gear on the lower back area, and they don’t wanna put it in-game so you won’t have a gigantic metal beam on your back when you’re running around if you haven’t reinforced twice. You could have made an argument with barricades.

I can agree but those legendary skins for finka and lions gun are pretty sick. I would want ashes elite skin but I rather just pay the money in r6 credit for it and not pay r6 credit to pull it through packs.
Shiny? Yes. Useful? No. Tbh all the bright yellow just screams "I'm here, shoot me." Kinda seems like you shouldn't use these items. Like at all. Your better off buying the black weapon skin seeing as it's harder to see and universal, which is what I did. But you could use these in outbreak missions to add immersion
I think in game the yellow will probably be more washed out, maybe more noticeable but tbh I rarely notice weapon skins or uniforms in game, plus usually the enemy sees you or they dont so unless you're hiding as a roamer you're probably fine

Just like all the other shiny headgear...it gives you away twice as fast. I notice headshots/enemies all the time because ppl want to wear there new bright uniform or solid orange football helmet. Meanwhile I am hiding in pure black and they usually don't even notice it's an enemy. Facts
It isn't twice as fast and again in most cases kills come from people running through doors, you getting a flank, or long range combat between in the inside of an objective and outside where both sides know where both sides are positioned, in most cases it doesn't matter and really only matters if the enemy doesn't listen for sound, you didn't drone out a section and someone sees you (but then again this loops back where they should here you in every case anyways), or you're trying to hide as a roamer, very rarely do kills come from seeing before hearing

btw the goggles thermite uses are for welding, as he uses thermite for his explosives which gives of a bright spark when detonated. That's why he still wears them under his hazmat. Just thought I'd mention that 2 years later

It’s for outbreak recruit only. So you can’t use it on multiplayer recruit. And since outbreak will only be here for so long, you will only be able to apply it to recruit for a limited amount of time.
Timing has her visor because if her op ability. When she throws her Candelabra or whatever it is she activates her visor and it’s like Warden, stops herself from being flashed so she can rush.
I just realized how lucky I was at outbreak, I got the USSR skin, The smoke headgear, The Smoke body, and I can’t remember the other one in only 4 packs

The goggles are a protective eyewear like a welding helmet. It protects his eyes from the damaging effects of using his charges. The face shield of a hazmat mask wouldn't help at all.
The outbreak alpha packs is basically like a White noise or Blood Orchid bundle. Its just similar skins for different operators. A whole bunch of yellow on uniforms and weapons. If they simply put it in the store for people to buy what they want, I can savely say most would buy less than 10 of the items. What a money grab.
If anything, it's even better that Smoke is the only one that doesn't have a name on his mask, it has tubes running out the back, a no brainer that the Operator that throws a toxic chemical at you will be the most equipped in this situation.
Iv EaZy vl Right now there is a thing called technical test servers, or tts, tts is a short period of time before they release the new game mode that only oc players can play on, its basically testing for bugs in the new season and testing for things that should be changed. Xbox and ps4 will get an update on the 6th of march
Thermites goggles are to protect his eyes from the brightness of the thermite charges he has. Assuming the visor is just glass, it actually makes sense to wear both.
I believe why thermite has his goggles is because how he cuts through the barricades the light itself would flash burn his eyes kinda like you weld with no mask or goggles get flash burned you can hurt your eyes so bad it’d take like a day or two to blink
