Wow, moonveil already shaved half hp on my 1900 life and nearly 40% magic resist build, this is pretty much a one-shot to anything that isn't a tank build in pvp.

Interesting thing about Overhead Stance is that each hit of the R2 version has a Damage Value of 3, same as a Colossal Weapon R1. That makes it one of the best skills for stun locking medium sized enemies like Fire Knights and Omen that don't get microstaggered by weaker attacks.
Square off was always a good ash, especially in pve for it stance breaking values. So SS are both quick, hard hitting and versatile weapons. As everything should be.
I’m so glad we have someone like you ranking Elden Ring stuff. No shade to other RU-vidrs but a lot of them are either really annoying or really ridiculous on how they rank shit
So glad this happened during my interview/faith build. Literally the only weapons I've upgraded was relannas, milady, and sword of day and night. Win for me for once

For the record for unsheath and moonveil…you shouldn’t crouch just hold the shield button if your two handing and it’s easier and way faster. You don’t need to time it or anything. It cancels on the first frame possible and sense you can act out of shielding with whatever command you want…you virtually have no lag like you do with crouching.
Now that the blue dew talisman exists it's no longer a race for efficiency. That 1 second of wait can be detrimental, I'd rather pair with filigreed crest talisman.
Just a note on renallas twinblades: Pump all your dmg stats into int or faith. Like 80 int or 80 faith. Whichever of part of the ash of war you like more. The one you neglect will still hit decently hard BUTTTTT! the one you pump all your stats into will produce one of the most broken things you'll ever see in this game. The DMG output is indescribable, it's stupid. Stance DMG matters not set up this way.
For all these weapon types games basically becomes L2 spam combat.....that is such a poor game design. They replace entire R1,R2 moveset . AoW SHOULD NOT replace entirety of weapon into one button it should be used to make it better with emphasis on mechanical fun and satisfaction Blindspot is good example of AoW done right, you can't spam it because its recovery frames are higher than light rolls , nor it is optimal dmg , satmina and FP wise. however R2 R1 combo then blindspot as soon as bosses start attacking back you get better dmg and fun engaging playstyle. It might be broken in PVP , but its a single player game first and foremost (10% player base whining doesn't matter) In PVE its not that broken ....needs more fp and slightly less dmg and increase its weight to further balance it.
So let me get this straight Rellanas ash of war goes further, has more synergies together (fire and magic), and does more damage, has the better AOE, and the magic one can act better has a quick single hit, and check this out does more stance damage…than SONAF according to you but it’s S-tier. Then you start by saying it’s get number 1 because it’s get stupid damage. By Rellanas get number 6 but does more damage and has the longest reach so it can be spammed from the safer ranges. Dog every reason you named for SONAF being number 1. Rellanas did better according to you.
Square off should be useable on greatswords. Overhead stance should be useable on curved greatswords and winged stance should be useable on straight swords.
@@lolulpout5386 Square off was a greatsword ash in ds3, it is arbitrarily not applicable in this game. Curved greatswords are just great katanas without a sheath on your back and having winged stance only on one weapon in the entire game makes no sense.
