Last video, we broke down new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 review, open world gameplay, & Mysterio details! Recently, we did a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Launch Trailer breakdown! A few weeks back, we broke down the new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Venom, Villain, Symbiote Suit & Story details that were revealed in a new interview with Yuri Lowenthal.
We broke down the new Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Be Greater Together TV Spot trailer (not gameplay trailer). This new trailer showcased a very intense fight between Venom, Peter Parker, and Miles Morales, as well as some new Marvel's Spider-Man 2 story details! Recently, we broke down gameplay features that were confirmed by Insomniac Games which include new open world web swinging details & confirmation of suit damage from combat.
We have also broke down all of the suits that are confirmed for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, most of which came from the new open world gameplay trailer that was revealed during the PlayStation State of Play. This new trailer gave us a great look at new combat & open world gameplay in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the official map of New York City, fast travel gameplay, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 suits upgrades & gadgets, and confirmation of exciting new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 suits! The Spider-Man 2 suits that were confirmed in this trailer include the Raimi Trilogy black suit (symbiote suit), Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man 2099, Supreme Spider-Man, and many exciting Miles Morales suits. We also finally got our first look at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 pre order suits & deluxe edition suits gameplay.
The Marvel's Spider-Man 2 story trailer provided dozens of brand new gameplay & story details including: our first official look at Wraith, Venom gameplay, Harry Osborn, Spider-Man symbiote gameplay, and confirmation that the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Venom will in fact be Harry Osborn at some point. We also got a great look at Kraven We recently broke down and discussed how the symbiote suit gameplay & customization might work in the game. All of those details come from the recent Spider-Man 2 gameplay reveal trailer.

Feels boring to say but I do think the Advanced Suit 2.0 is the best. Exceptional balance of nostalgia and new merged into one. With the webbed suits, I also grew up with Raimi's Spider-Man and particularly loved Spider-Man 2, but I'm not sure it's my favourite design overall

the "great responsibility" suit is the one that peter gives to miles as his first true spider suit at the beginning of the miles morales game. it probably fits the way it does because peter wasn't able to perfectly tailor it to him

16:14 I think one of the biggest missed opportunities with suits in this game is contextually-seasonal suits. Especially in Miles Morales, it felt like the team created a solid handful of suits that were FOR the season the story took place in. Miles' Sportswear, Winter, and even his Homemade all felt like they had reason to exist as they did. Even in the first game, Pete had his ESU suit, just a t shirt and jeans, for a mild fall temperature. Really wish this game had a even a couple suits that made sense for the late summer context of the story, EVEN IF ONLY using specific light or breathable fabrics for certain ones.. Our two heroes would be sweating their nuts off while wearing a vast majority of the rubberized, space-age, plastic-looking suits in NYC's 80 degree late summer heat.

I just hope they remove the forced costumes for the symbiote missions when NG+ is added. I get from a technical game design standpoint why they had to, but I want to play the whole game in the two Raimi suits.

the suits are ok and maybe its just a nitpick to some but my biggest problem is the anti venom abilities just not matching with literally any suit other than the anti venom suit. i really really wish you could change the colour of it back to black. also the fact that you cant change time of day or the weather bugs the shit out of me

In my playthrough the pair I had on constantly for Peter and Miles were, the Miles Morales 2099 Suit, which is my personal favourite Spider-Man Suit overall, and the Red Variant of the Scarlet III Suit, they looked really awesome paired like that, I love the hooded suits.

I’m just making my own thought of the concept if when Li gave his powers to Peter that it did more then just transfer to him and have full control of the alien that’s attached to him, it but also help unlock something else that was created by both the symbiote that was still dormant in Peter and Peters own dna. Mixed that with Li’s power and you get this “inner demon/symbiote/human” hybrid. The spider in the clouds I mainly used this suit towards the ending of the game right before the last mission. Patrolling the city gliding only touching down to do what I needed. The suit grew on me.

I wear the Programmable Matter Suit all the time because if you remember to get the suit in Miles Morales game you had to get all the Underground tech crates to unlock the suit. Phin was the leader of the underground, Phin was Miles' Best friend and the villain of the game. Then she gave her life to save miles. So i wear the suit to honor her.

While the suits are great, they’re really lacking. A majority of Peter’s suits are movie suits, and Miles just doesn’t have enough that really seem that interesting.

I think the New Red and Blue suit emblem is black, but in certain spots the sun can bounce off of the black and make it look gold.

I'm pretty sure that the stone monkey suit is a reference to Sun Wukong, the monkey king who is literally a stone monkey. The fur accents and shoulders are part of the usual portrayal of sun Wukong whether it's on stage, in animation, or live action.

I'd like the option to change from black to red suit and the opposite at any time like web of shadows, leaving us to do endless combos with normal and tentacle attacks. Also the endgame colour of skills that dont match with the suits.. i would also love to play more as venom or at least have a suit as venom to free roam and have his skills😄

If anything, I think my favorite suit for Miles is the 10th Anniversary suit. As soon as I saw it in the trailer, I screamed. I was so happy that it was included and once I actually get to play it for myself, I think I'll be using it as soon as I unlock it. Also for the evolved suit. I actually don't have that much of an issue with it. My favorite thing about the suit is the hair, I wish more Miles suits had his hair out in this game. I think my gripe might be the mask like you guys said, it feels so bland, and also I really just think that specific suit would work a lot better if Miles' hair was longer.

My favorite suits for Peter is the Scarlet 3 suit (no variant), classic symbiote suit (no variant) and the anti venom suit. For Miles it was the upgraded classic suit with white and red accent variant and the mysterio suit but with white variant as the white black and gold shoulder pads reminded me a hell of a lot like the mmpr white ranger suit. Would have liked to have seen the black classic suit with gold logo that miles got in his game and i for sure would have liked the Dark suit Peter got from Black Cat in first game. That suit in first game was my preferred suit.

The blue suit for Peter reminds me of the blue lanterns more than anything else. I also would have liked the bombastic suit or whatever was in the first game but instead of the paper bag to have a fantastic 4 spiderman like mask to go with it because i thought in first game that it looked so awesome if it werent for the paper bag.

The Blue suit is exactly that. Spider-Man and 3 other non-Fantastic Four heroes formed a new team of the Fantastic Four, with their own costumes inspired by the uniforms. Bombastic Bag-Man is from the comics, where Peter just got rid of the symbiote with the help of the F4(after wearing the suit for a year) and didn't have his classic suit to wear. So Human Torch loaned Peter one of the old spare uniforms, gave him a paper bag, and jokingly gave him a paper on his back that said "Kick me!" on it.

Im just gonna rank the canon story suits since i dont have a death wish, so here you go. 12: Great responsibilty. Just dont love it. 11: Sportswear. Same thing, just like the hoodie. 10: Advanced 1: Great, just didn't love the orange. 9: Anti-Ock. Pretty good. No further notes. 8: Evolved. Wish the hood was up. 7: Miles Classic. Just not as good as the upgraded 6: Peter Classic. Just amazing. 5: Black suit. Wonderful. 4: Upgraded. Nearly Perfect. 3: Anti-Venom. Best endgame suit in the series. 2: Symbiote. So damm good. 1: Advanced 2. Perfect in every way.

As soon as I came to the realisation that the black and gold suit was the max level unlock I almost felt insulted. I've never been so annoyed over a suit placement, and to be fair, I wasn't super supset or whatever, but it's the most annoyed at a suit I've been in any Spider-Man game. Not only is including all 8 Tom Holland suits overkill and kind of a waste of space (considering a fair amount of them are either mid or straight up bad and filler) I think making a recycled suit the final unlock was a terrible idea, let alone one of the worst recycled suits in the whole game imo. The moment I realised I stopped focussing on leveling up, regardless of how much I love the NWH red and blue suit that comes right before it, and the fact the black and gold suit was so late almost killed my excitement for the red and blue Tom suit, what should be my favourite suit in the game as I adore the design. I appreciate them wanting to have all the movie suits, but if they committed to having all the Tom suits, including the trashy homemade and stealth suits, then they should've gone all in and done the human spider and Andrew vigilante suits, cause having only 2 Andrew and Tobey suits while having 8 Tom suits feels weird. IMO they could've cut the Tom selection down to the Stark suit, FFH upgraded suit, Iron Spider and then the NWH red and blue. They could've cut Tom's selection in half and barely anyone would've complained, and any complainers would've had 4 remaining suits from the comics or character references, it just feels stupid to have so many Tom suits when most of those are so visually similar and bland. Also the Fantastic 4 suit is very similar to the FFH upgraded suit, and that upsets me a tad. If they built the Fantastic 4 suit off of the bag man suit from the last game it would've been perfect, but it just looks bland here. The Peter suit selection is fine I suppose, it has a lot of gems but so many stinkers, however comparing it to the first game it doesn't come close to what we had back in 2018 even before the free DLC suits

I know that some people have complained about the stealth suit in spider man far from home and that it isn't very spidermaney but thats the whole point, Peter was trying not to stand out and it would have been really stupid if he was going round europe with a big spider logo on the suit. This probably isn't my favourite suit but it served it's purpose

One minor nitpick that I hate they repeated from the 2018 game... The Tom Holland Iron Spider iron arms are coloured completely wrong. In the movie they were gold, but not only Marvel's Spider-Man gets wrong, but even Marvel's Spider-Man 2 does. They use the concept art/hot toys arms. I mean I'll agree here, they look better the way they are here, but they were and still continue to be inaccurate. In the game they're red, gold and black, but depending on the movie they're either supposed to be all gold or mostly gold with black accents. Either way they look good in game, but it's an offputting detail that they keep getting wrong after 5 years
