What an EPIC start to the series this was! From Waterloo to Fernando, our Sophies and Skys brought all the ABBA classics in Episode 1, and we've got each and every performance RIGHT HERE!

Maddy & Stephanie - I think the girls gave good acting & choreography performances. Unfortunately, I don't think it was a great vocal. They felt flat for majority of the number, and like the choreo was getting in the way of their intonation. Maddy had a good presence, I found Stphe pretty forgettable overall. Craig, Marcellas & Tobias - My fave of the Skys. Great vocals, great chemisty, fabulous stage presence. Tobias was my standout vocally, but all three did great. The rain just added to the magic. Callum & Darcy - This was a pretty weak vocal performance for both of them. Their pitches were all over the place at the start. I'll say Darcy was at least giving a character in his performance. But Callum felt like he was fully phoning it in to me. Leah & Esme - Very beautiful reindition. I am in love with Leah's voice, she is a powerhouse in the making. I'm not fully sure if Sophie is the role for her yet, I'd like to see her range a little more. Esme had a great vocal, she just needs a little more presence cuz Leah upstaged her to me. Owen & Zachkiel - Very fun, if a bit overly cheesy for me. They kinda overacted it too much. Like it felt like they were doing a satire performance for SNL. They need to reign it in and refine (especially Owen) but they had a good charm to this performance. Desdemona, Maisie & Stevie - The strongest of the Sophie groups for me. I do think Stevie got a little lost in it, but that's only cuz Des and Maisie came out of the gate swinging. Desdemona's vocal was the best, but I give Maisie the slight edge for comitting more to the choreo and character.
