Hello and welcome back to another episode of The Dive! Azael, Kobe, and Meteos recap the latest rounds of playoffs, the Kia Top 6 MVP, Jensen as Player of the Series, and make their predictions for Spring Finals. They also discuss what it takes to be at the top, the importance of team dynamics, and the best/worst scrim strategies!
Also, Kobe doesn’t know who Lionel Messi is (he knows his name, but wouldn’t recognize his face). Is that crazy? Or is it actually impressive, in this day and age?
Anyways, FINALS are THIS WEEKEND - Cloud9 takes on Team Liquid Honda in the Lower Bracket Finals on Saturday, March 30th at 1PM PT / 4PM ET, while the winner will face FlyQuest on Sunday, March 31st at 1PM PT / 4PM ET. Who will take the #LCS trophy? Who will be going to MSI?

The game evolves and players are, in my opinion, objectively better at the game than their past counterparts, as time passes. For every sport. Hey guys, love the Dive, but big criticism: if you’re trying to make an image for a hype train please use a larger locomotive than Strasburg 89, a 2-6-0 Mogul type is a relatively small one and something like a Pacific or Northern type locomotive would be better.

Yeah, I took it all more like the newer players aren't used to playing this particular way as a team and Inspired is really good at reminding/drilling it. Definitely didn't feel like Bwipo and Inspired were saying their teammates were bad, felt like they were saying their teammates are good and getting better.

I didn't really see Bwipo as flaming his team during Pros. I thought it was just talking about how he can focus on his own game instead of focusing on others. I think Bjergsen talked about something similar when playing with Core during that short stint on TL.

I personally love Inspired, I think every good player needs to have this sort of confidence. sure, he won't fit into any team, that's why he clashed with his Rogue teammates. but time and time again we have seen that teams are most successful when they have one strong voice with everyone else following

Meteos needs to coach IMT. He has such a good in depth understanding of the game and as long as his players weren't trying to argue for fun I think the team would have a bunch of success! Original C9 with Sneaky was all self coached by the players and look where it got them!

jojo never died in lane on Yone and had crazy cs even in game 2. In game 1 he got killed twice in lane phase, rest was him getting caught. I really don't think he was camped or shut down by any sort of special attention put towards him, he just genuinely played poorly. In one of the side lane deaths in game 3 he just didn't want to ult away or something and so he died. This was when C9 had like a 3k gold lead and that fight was such a huge win for FLY that almost the entire gold lead disappeared.

I will say, this split has been the most entertaining split for me personally since 2016. From a PR standpoint sure, maybe Inspired shouldn't flame his own team mates so hard in public. That being said, I also love the confidence and main character energy so many different players are bringing to their trash talk. Even if a player says something dumb or out of pocket, it just makes it more interesting for a lot of fans since it gives us a reason to root against certain players if they say something we don't like. Keep the trash talk rolling. It's good for viewership, good for the competitive environment, and in 99% of situations is not likely a personal attack(might not be true but it doesn't seem personal to me)

Knowing that the main goal for this game is "be completely different" makes me concerned, not excited, for the future. World of Warcraft has been the number one MMO for two decades for a reason. That reason is not because nobody else was willing to innovate in the genre. They should have juat made a really good tab target MMO and accepted reality.

2:30 that's the wow addict take we see here in the west for sure. as someone that has never tried wow, im more exited for something new. but would 100% expect my take to be on the minority of the english speaking world for sure. my copium before was that league is MOST popular outside of the wow addict english speaking world aka asia where mmos are VERY different (sadly very pay to win) but now we have confirmation from mark confirming basically that it is NOT going to be a wow clone and im very happy :)

I love player on Cloud9 but I fell like the team is not properly playing around Jojo and Berserker. Even Bwipo and Inspired told that the 3 games vs them no one play around mid and he's the only one trying to create something in the game. I don't get how you pay a huge amount of money to get this mid and adc but the match plan is not to enable them so they can carry. Love blaber but i really don't like the synergy with jojo :(

Hot take: The LCS teams going to MSI should lie to their players and tell them they booked scrims with some top LCK or LPL teams but then have their challenger teams join the lobby from a different hotel room using the player names of the eastern teams players and pick champions they would normally play. Let the LCS teams farm confidence before they go to actually play them. Maybe it works maybe it doesn't, would be a cool experiment!

my only issue with what Bwipo said on Pros about other teams being NPCs is that we tend to look like NPCs as a region internationally. it’s great they were hyped and celebrating their win but I can’t imagine they will be talking like that at MSI. i would love to be wrong and Flyquest to run the tournament but years of NA being the NPC region internationally makes me doubt.

Yeeeaahh even though I’m not the biggest Bwipo fan, I interpreted what he was saying as more of a “e.g.” and not an “i.e.”-you know? Like “because I have Inspired as my jungler, I can focus on my lane. For example, I don’t have to watch Jensen lane” not because Jensen is a bad laner, but because Inspired is just that in control of the map. Especially because his earlier comments about Jensen have been complimenting of his stability and independence in lane.
