Please so he can at least follow the dialogue more rather than thinking everyone is just hating. "negative" comments are needed to understand the teams shortcomings and you shouldn't worry bout players being sensitive/censor yourself because they literally signed up for it.

@@dudewiththought Even if he was educated on pro games, he would still be the Nancy 2-shoes goody fellow like he was since day one. He is a massive supported of Riot and if you badmouth their game or their players, he is against it since he want so collect all the jobs Riot can offer to him. Most of the time he is okay on these shows but sometimes it is just too much, you have been on these kind of podcasts for 5+ years with the likes of Locodoco, IWD, Monty, LS and so on. Time to at least take the game and the talks semi-seriously.

I think Vulcan is looking pretty suspect right now.. he was NEVER good internationally.. and now he's been support for 2 VERY good AD's who's performance dramatically dropped off once he came in

1:12:30 What Dom is saying is true, but I’d only pushback slightly in the sense that this was the first year in a long time where it felt like teams were doing less of this, there was a lot more willingness to start fights, look for angles, show up on the map somewhere you weren’t expected to be. Problem is that C9 feels the same and they are the regions default representative. The problem was still bad but its a problem that’s been SO horrible for so long that seeing some teams trend in the other direction even slightly feels nice

Also 1:18:29 absolutely love Dom’s explanation here, it feels like western teams don’t realize that League isn’t half mechanics half checkers, it’s half mechanics half chess. There are so many layers of strategy beyond draft and team comp, you have to be thinking about the implications of all your resources and your tempo and leverage those things to find advantages, not just checking boxes on end game win conditions. I hate the way the west views trading, like stop respecting your opponents and find a way to put them down proactively, make them waste resources. No handhsakes only haymakers

I really enjoy the in depth draft discussions in this one. It would make it a whole lot easier to follow with some very basic visuals of the teams and their drafts as you go through them. I've had a few too many freezepipes boys I'm struggling to follow at times...and that's kind of on you in a way haha. Love your work as always Dgon, the host with the most.

That is the interesting thing about C9 1:43:00 , they are actually a young team with a ton of potential for growth. I don't think many people think of them that way because of the legacy of the org and how accomplished some of the players on the team already are. But it gives C9 a lot of room to grow and I hope they don't give up on the roster simply because of a less than first place split.

Speaking of interdisciplinary esports pros, Chawy was a pro/high level StarCraft, DOTA, and LoL player in 2010ish. The SEA team at 2010 WCG also competed at the first DOTA TI in 2011, i believe all 5 players the same including Chawy

This is such a fraudulent take that keeps getting repeated that Yeon lost their game against T1 at worlds. Watch the fight, he doesnt have good guns for a fight on Aphelios. SUMMIT walks up and starts the fight, and then Yeon can’t do anything with his guns and they get rekt. SUMMIT IS THE ONE WHO RUINED THE GAME. Yeon has so many mistakes to choose from, but this one ain’t it.

I think if you’re c9 you have to drop fudge. Berserker is proving an unreliable win condition this year, and jojo draws so much pressure that having a top laner who will step up and carry when needed seems like an absolute must. Licorice looked so good last year, I think you have to try to pick him up. C9 needs to be able to force enemy teams to feel like they are stretched too thin across the map. Put licorice in and I guarantee you will see him creating advantages for every lane while actually contributing to team fights.

the biggest issue with league analysis is too many people think the controlled style the koreans play with is the only way to play and think chinese play is brainless. china just plays an attacking style while koreans play a more positional one.

Don't be surprised if HLE wins and Gen.G picks them over KT/DK. HLE is the best of those 3 but GenG had easier games vs them than DK/KT. In 2022 LSB was stronger than DK and GenG still picked LSB over DK. Styles can make matches and DK/KT have traditionally been scary teams for Geng.

What is this Yeon slander? He has played two games of Smolder in all of playoffs, and in those games, Varus and Kalista were banned (and Senna in one of them). TL have their weaknesses, but they are not the “Smolder team”. This is straight up incorrect, and discredits how well Yeon has played this playoffs. He and CoreJJ have been slapping every single lane.

Issue is that Smolder is almost permabanned against TL atm, which if you check any series without TL in it is hardly the case. He has had 3 opportunities to pick it, picked it twice and the one time he didn't was against DIG.

It's also bizarre that he mentions Core and Yeon going to MSI and how bodied they would get. Like yeah, they probably would, but they'll do a hell of a lot better in lane than bloody Massu and Busio... I don't know, really odd takes from Monte. Sounds like he hasn't watched any of the LCS games.

Lol, Jojo was bigger inter than Fudge or Vulcan in this serie. What is this bias saying "he was angry his team isn't engaging"? Are they supposed to sent it on Xin Zhao that has a ulti? He just inted that fight, that's all. Before he didn't take local gold from turret he tped to destroy, not even speaking about how usless he was in game 1 and how many blunders he made (taking greedy path to mid lane, being destroyed by Renekton in fights). Whole team played bad or just worse than FLY but I don't understand the bias.

The guy is the gatekeeper of Europe, only has one title won by one tricking giga broken Gragas. And he was atrocious this split, by far the mid laner with the most deaths making mistakes that would solo lose games if his team didn't have players like Irrelevant and Exakick. It's funny because this split he made way more game-losing plays than Perkz ever did, but Perkz doesn't belong in LEC and Nisqy is the best mid ever according to LEC casters and analysts who are clearly personally biased towards him. Oh and imagine wanting to pair the mid with the most deaths with Bo, the player (not just jungler) with the most deaths in both splits.

@@boredindividual KC doesnt need a selfless midlaner. They need a carry mid laner. Nisqy is basically like yagao in LPL. Doesnt work to put them in lower tier teams because they are the more supportive players.

Monte is a clown. Yeon best champions were kalista and varus this patch, permabanned against TL. He is just also the best smolder in LCS so if teams aren't banning it, they will pick it. C9 Blabber and Jojo mentioned it recently, the reason teams can't ban asol and ziggs against TL, even though APA is the best on those picks is because botlane is too much of a threat to let them pick whatever they want. Its almost like this clown Monte, forgets every team has been banning 2-3 ADC every game against TL in the first ban phase.
