Thank you maam for the valuable insights on gmat exam. Is reservation of obc/sc/st applicable to Indian IIMs based on GMAT score. Means is there any GMAT score cut-off category wise just like in CAT?

Thank you harsh for your kind words ❤️. As per IIM’s websites - there’s no separate cut off for gmat for other categories like obc/st . It’s only applicable on CAT score. However , along with gmat score , selection will depend on profile and work experience. There are fixed reserved seats in IIMs which will be first filled through CAT and then remaining general seats will be filled by cat + gmat. Gmat must be atleast 700+ to be selected for interviews.

@@verbology9068 thank you maam for the details. I am interested in 1 year executive mba. I have 7/7/8.1(comp science) academic with over 6.5 years work exp in IT. Does writing and playing instrument(guitar) counts in enhancing ones profile forExecutive MBA? How much I need to score in gmat focus edition to get into top 5 IIMs like A, B, C. Please guide me on this. If possible can I get one to one guidance. It is very important. I am from obc reserved category. And is there any scope of scholarship in Indian IIMs?

Yes. Bhot different hai. 1)MAT is for 2 tier Indian mba colleges. GMAT is for worlds top colleges for mba. 2) Also, GMAT is way harder than MAT. 3) GMAT happens every month but MAT is once a year. 4) MBA through gmat requires good profile and work experience. work experience is not compulsory in many through MAT exam.
