@Sim Sim I am a leo ascendant too.....what I have learnt so far is that we need to practice self-love. I know it sounds depressing that we'll never get love but if think about it carefully...we'll never be dependent on anyone for anything. We are self sufficient.

Holy shit. This is exactly me. vegan & everything. I am a very quiet person, which when I first learned I was a leo rising I didn't think fit right. I thought a leo rising was more outgoing, but it makes sense the way you compared it to the lion only growling when provoked. I don't say much unless I want to get my strong opinion across haha or when mad.

Everything was pretty spot on. I’ve always dated men who leveled me up and not necessarily for the happily ever after. I’m a spiritualist as a profession and the highs and lows of the moon nailed it for me. I’ve learned to go with it. I use the lows to practice while I hone in on the highs. I'm a Leo ascendant and I've stayed single for the last 18 years. I'm glad I have because I can always see intent (not so much when I was younger) when I meet someone who's interested. So I hope she at least will be emotional. ;) Another thing is that I have never heard a Vedic astrologer talk about the Descendant. I mean that is the exact opposite of you. Might that not be a subtle way to determine ones partner too? Mine is placed in Shathabisha, ruled by Rahu. So I guess she will be obsessive too (about me!). ;)
Leo rising with Leo sun in first house, Virgo stellium moon mercury and Venus. I think a healthy amount of detachment is good for the relationship. I need space to myself so I can stay being me. I'm loyal and affectionate but I don't want the marriage to take up most of my priorities because it's just one aspect of my life. I'm more attracted to people who are goal oriented, practical, cold realistic. Someone who finds security in a relationship with me and still focus on their life goals.

That’s so true because, in the past even when I have been very afraid to do something or am feeling nervous to do something, I will be complimented for being very confident, even if I don’t FEEL IT, so that makes sense that it’s a natural confidence in me from the Leo rising. It’s just bred into me to be that way, and come across that way, even if it don’t feel it internally and feel a little self conscious and not good enough or whatever insecurity I may have aha uno!

Especially with a yod formation pointing to my Leo ascendant. (Pisces moon, Capricorn North Node) My goodness, have I been selfless these last couple of months. And now more is being asked of me, just when I was planning to kick back and have more me-time. I decided to give the favor. I don't know how my ego can survive this though, haha. The funny thing is that when I am done with this volunteer work, I will do other volunteer work with an Aquarius.
