There's an important aspect of 2-handed Link's unique action and his ehanced ability that made him my go-to character for the "Hair-Width" challenges: if you do any ehanced strong attack and an enemy hits you during the attack animation, you will take white/grey damage instead of regular damage. This also applies in Hair-Width challenges, meaning you can survive getting one-shotted. 2-handed Link's enhanced ability will slow down time at random just before a melee attack hits, giving you time to dodge and do a Flurry Rush. I wouldn't rely on this too much, but it's pretty nice when you're being attacked by an enemy you can't see.

The enhanced C6 can be extended as well to add more slashes and projectiles

You can extend his last strong attack if you keep pressing the button, also if you get hit during it the damage is temporary damage that can be recovered with his first strong attack

You forgot to mention that link's special attack can full link's white hearts

so something that i like about this style is that, for me, it feels like playing the fierce deity. I'm not suggesting that this is the successor style to young link or tiki, but that using the unique action specials excessively always feels like going on the awakening/focus spirit rampage that those characters could get up to. For that reason, I prefer using the royal guards claymore because its appearance fits the aesethic better than anything else he can use here

The Royal Guard’s Claymore with 5 Damage at 30% hearts could probably do damage that puts the hyrule warriors master sword to shame

i wasn't interested in this move set until i got the c6. saw the decimation it did to enemies and it became my crowd clearer while sidon was my boss cleaver a great combo together.

Something I've noticed. With his uniqe action attacks when he's hit during them the damage is instead made into temporary damage so you can just go in do his final combo and sit there using it not giving a fuck and just melt enemies hp or weak points

for the dragonbone moblin club, i would focus entirely on getting sensor registered material seals on it, its other 2 passives help with this as well and it makes a fantastic tool for grinding out materials, ive been using it for ages, i do want a savage lynel crusher but rng has not been kind. set game to easy and spam dash attacks for fast materials

one thing to note with the c6 you can change your aim while using the unique version to get the enemies all around you. i don't know about the regular version because i never use it lol

you didn’t mention the super armor Link gets when executing his combos with ZR, specifically the last Combo... i found out that when i extended the last ZR combo and a guardian blasted me without being knocked out of the combo and link kept extending it

Damage taken while using c6 counts as a drain dramage so you can spam it and heal afterwards with x. Idk with other combos tho

This seems like it can be one of the easier to use and strongest weapons for apocalyptic. Since damage during c6 is taken as temporary damage and you can stack all of the buffs mentioned in the video for all of your damage, you can keep yourself constantly just out of 1 heart range and have insane damage output, provided you have good timing that is.

Something you forgot to mention is that if you take a hit while you're in the middle of a ZR-enhanced strong attack, you will not take normal damage. Instead, whatever damage you would have taken is turned into temporary damage instead.

this is my absolute favorite weapon for farming. I can throw a bunch of material+ on my most powerful one and spam the Dash attack. You really missed an opportunity to explain why you put the Dragon Bone at the top. This is the #1 farming weapon in the game.

You can also hit the trigger at the end of any combo to simply add the spinning flip to it. It's a great way to end the aerial combo after strong attack 5. If you have a special to burn, its really easy to kill Hinox by using a powered up strong attack 5, transitioning into the normal aerial attacks, following up with a powered-up base strong attack (the spin), and then using a special as soon as you touch the ground to heal all that damage back. It's the best weapon in the game for my money because you pretty much have super armor against everything while you use a powered-up strong attack (any damage you get hit with is recoverable with the unique action).

Link is just that Starter pokemon that you over level, while the rest of the team is there in case the starter gets low on health

i played this style once or twice, im just too much into the master sword. its a lot of fun playing even as just link, tho i learned i have to spread myself a little if i want to be able to beat some of these missions

Here’s a tip I think is worth mentioning: if you have more than one heart when you take damage, you should always survive with at least half a heart (unless I’m remembering incorrectly). Makes it a little less stressful to go low HP with two handed Link.

i found the easiest way to clear levels that are underleveled is with the spin dash attack move since it seems you move a bit faster and also deal loads of damage in the beyblade mode

Damage at 30% hearts or less caps at 50%, so if you put two of them you are around 42% iirc. Also, this seal caps at 50% with damage per 100KO seal, so if you have the 6% more damage every 100 enemies KOed, with roughly 800 enemies you are capping damage, so your damage with less hearts won't matter in the slightest, that's why healing items hexagonal seal is not a bad choice by any means, specially with the DLC now the builds are more versatile but for those who don't have the DLC, 3 attack speed ++ and the more damage with 100KO enemies is a nice build getting the best Savage Lynel Crusher at 172 damage if you manage to farm it at 76 damage.

Love the way you review. But everyone seems to be missing the best part of two handed weapons. When you use unique action during combos Link doesnt get knocked back, and absorbs damage into recoverable hearts. Making me tank thru heavy attacks without interrupting combos and recovering their damage

This weapon is great for the one-hit-KO challenges, since you can spam unique action attacks all you want with no consequences.

Also, if you get hit during an enhanced strong attack, the damage will go to your temporary damage and not your actual damage. Another reason why the damage at 30% hearts or less is good

While other people have brought up things like his special recovering drain damage too, and the super armor on his self-damage attacks, I’d like to bring up the fact that his strong dash attack actually makes Link move FASTER than his normal run…provided you’re not using move speed buffs from food anyway. It’s just a good way of generally getting around, even if there’s no enemies in the area.

The most fun thing is to run and just mow down the smaller enemies or bait out weak point gauges while doing a death of 100 cuts. I found him a bit too risky for my style of play but it remains quite exhilarating to go wild on some of the bosses and Lynals.

9:15 A note about the "Damage at 30% Hearts or less" seals - the max extra damage the game allows you to get out of stacking these is +50%. So if you have 2x of the ++ versions and match these with two other square shaped seals, you're already close to the max extra damage with +44%. It's a bit of a waste to put 3x of these ++ seals on the same weapon, switching one out for "Attack Speed" is probably better.

Ah the most ignorant, overpowered moveset link has access to. Any damage you take during the Unique action attacks only counts as temporary damage and can't interrupt the move, Making this moveset downright broken. If you use combo 6 you can just tank practically any attack in the game force out a weak point gauge, status, destroy it, heal while the enemy is downed, rince repeat for all enemies. For a "risk reward" style it's very sturdy. You can even get hit during the hair width missions that kill you in one hit and just tank it in this style.
