I think Epona is a deceptively very complex fighter. She might be at her best against legions, but she has ways to pile on the damage against single targets fast if you know how to position them and drag them along with your attack strings. It is just the ones that have stun immunity that give you a massive headache.
Personally, on my Master Sword build, I put 2 regular, special, and strong damage up. It may be sub-optimal, but that was before I learned that speed up was the way to go, and it leads to the Blade of Evil’s Bane feeling like a bit of a powerhouse, which is always fun! I might not be able to reveal weak point gauges as fast as everyone else, but when all is said and done, there is no monster or beast who can stand against it
I totally agree with your tier list, I may be a Robin and Xander main in this game but I’ve bought the Dlc characters kinda late before I move from 3DS to Switch that I’ve barely got to try DLC characters at all and tbh I heavily underestimated Olivia since I’ve never seen her in action till now and I agree with Camilla and Minerva being S tier because wyvern rider are definitely better than pegasus knights in this game, Camilla was one of my strongest unit I had for a while
Another thing to note for her unique action If done in midair she will enter an aiming mode slowing time (I think) and pressing x will make her throw her weapon and marking any enemy hit by it
I love playing as him, but he's really difficult to play until you figure out how to use him. Then again, I'm no stranger to difficult characters. I main Fang in SFV and Kollector in MK11. They all take a lot of skill and patience to use, so there's that.
Seeing this, I can't help wondering why there's no Digimon themed Warriors-like game. We've had Digimon World 4, but that was really clunky and more like Gauntlet. Digimon and Warriors, with all the history Digimon has with the anime, manga, drama CDs, etc... It would be amazing if done right.
i disagree completely with great fairy. GF is my go to for almost everything. she cannot be stunned or attack-canceled, she can summon a keep boss in TWO attacks and its perfect for the "get more rupees". the only real drawback is that its hell saving allies when they need it. i have to push them to a corner for the save to activate. just dont use the strong attacks (you dont need them anyway).
Not a fan of Revali's playstyle AT ALL (and same with his personality, lol), and I was worried that Teba would be similar to him and force this gimmicky air combat system... Never have I been so happy to be wrong! Teba is waaay better than Revali in pretty much every way, lol.
I suppose the reason for using her butterfly makes sense when you put it that way. Still, beyond that, her damage output is on the lower end of the spectrum, and her standard string is too slow with probably the lowest range.
You can dash with x I thought the only way to rampage was zr. Also a dashing focus character is an interesting idea but it’s not well enough explained. Most people are going to throw her headlong into fights because that is exactly how literally every other character works. I don’t know how you would indicate this but it would have been helpful.
C is way too generous for Fi. She is absolutely AWFUL. Her idiotic floaty normal string, multiple combos that lock her in place or don't even hit the enemy you're aiming for, abysmal damage. "B-but muh AoE!" Who fucking cares??? Like AoE matters in a game where most of the mooks are PAPER THIN??? The only fights that matter are against captains and bosses, and AoE isn't gonna do shit against them, so who fucking cares. Fi is trash. At least characters like Tetra and Tingle are scrappy and can actually fight a captain without sliding around the fucking screen.
his shock at revali’s behavior is hilarious, and it’s even more hilarious how urbosa knew where it was going and told him to basically not start shit with the bird champion
It's ironic that in the wii u game I never even touched him cause my encounters with him in ww ( I didn't play mm till wii virtual concal) made me hate him. On switch I was forced to use him at points and have found his moves reasonable but as a charecter I realy don't like him much.
I’m SHOCKED to see Wizzro as your 3rd worst. I believe the pro’s you mentioned make him broken. I’ll use him for every Giant Boss to delete them and his ray stun locks most characters.
In my game, Link is currently equipped with his Guardian Flails which right now have a higher attack stat than his Master Sword (80 v. 104!). Plus they’re so much fun to use. Definitely my weapon of choice!
Nice job! You did this very well. I love all the characters, and while people may have some Disagreements, I think you placed everyone fair, and you did so without bias. I get that people are angry that you didn’t place Impa or Mipha in S tier, but if they weren’t so quick to judge, this guide would’ve helped them just as much as it helped me. (Which it helped a lot thank you.)❤
Yeah- this weapon is grossly underrated simply because of the terrible attack string. Unlike Zelda’s baton, which has basically nothing to stand out going for it, Lana’s gate attacks give her a much better time at shredding bosses and officers.
I'm surprised to see Lana's summoning gate placed so low. Sure, it's slow and random, but if you're willing to lean into that randomness and use your boosted summons, Lana can keep even high-level officers stunlocked and clear whole keeps in one move, all while being completely invincible thanks to the barrier she puts up. And that's not even getting into the absolute boss shredder that is boosted Argorok.
