I ordered a Ukulele and will get an extra set of strings. Because I'm a beginner, I'm left to the experts to help me pick the right strings! This video on The Breakdown is super! What may have been added to the video is about six ukuleles with different strings as you describe the sounds!.

My favorite part of this video was Matt’s comparison to Snow skiing…with two Hawaiians. 😂 That said, what a wonderful video and addition to the many discussions about strings that are out there.

I bloody love Worth browns on my Kanilea (cedar top, mahogany back and sides) don't care what you say. It's like playing an actual angel's harp. So there 😝

So great to see you guys all together. All masters in my eyes. You champion your profession so greatly. I love what you guys do. I agree with you on strings. Try them all. I love Worth Clear for strumming, harder brown for finger picking and just put some Uke Logic low G on a tenor and they sound ace. Think Kanile’a sound so exquisite with Worth Clear’s, they also look high end on a high end instrument. Thanks again, have a peaceful week.

I feel Worth strings are one of the best.

The type of wood also matters so if you're not liking the sound of your ukulele then you have to do your homework on what type of wood you need to have your ukulele made of.

Good video. I'm a bit intimidated by the range of options available, but I'll get there.

Great help guys! I am an old guitarist who has switched to 'ukuleles in the last year or so. Less work for arthritic hands. I have a couple of great Kanile'a 'ukuleles that are needing new strings but while I am really familiar with guitar strings, 'ukulele strings are new to me. I used to spend half my time putting on new sets of guitar strings but have been happy to play the 'ukuleles a little longer until I learned to hear the difference between new and older strings. Since COVID restrictions have been really strong in British Columbia, Canada, I didn't have to concern myself with playing in public so the only ears who would hear anything belonged to my partner and our two cats. I have liked the strings that came on my Kanilea's, Joe but would have liked to know what each of them was strung with. Is there a possibility of droppping a list into the case of each 'ukulele before it leaves your place? I got my 'ukuleles through the 'Ukulele Site and I don't know if they ever make any string changes before shipping Kanile'a 'ukuleles off to their new homes so maybe you could give me some information about that too.

If anything your ukulele was strung with worth strings, and you should ask whatever ukulele site you bought your ukulele site what they strung it with.
