Honestly..needs more recommendations and creativity. I really thought he would AT LEAST mention Special Attack Charge+. Also someone needs to investigate is Strong Attack+ buffs Luminescent Mode 🤦♂️
Special attack charge rate up is actually really good on her. Her light beam can destroy captains from afar, and tear through crowds, which recharges the special attack gauge.
@@inrglctc8983 With the 1st DLC out and the ability to remove hidden seals, I actually removed her hex-Heal A Ppercent of Damage Dealt and swapped it out with a star-Bonus Damage to Enemies with Status Effects. Because the ring of light is a status effect. The weapon isn't complete, but I think I'll pair it with either a star-Strong attack++ or Special Damage++ and then maybe a mix of 4 square-Special Charge Rate/Attack Range++ seals.
I went through the whole game expecting a new moveset for Zelda, after she gets her sealing power. I did not expect it to be my favourite moveset in the game after 2-handed Link. I was absolutely enchanted with it when I first played it.
I usually prefer the unlockable characters, and the more "quirky" character movesets, and was not expecting Zelda's Light Bow to be my preferred playstyle. It's fantastic!
For those watching after DLC-release: The Bow of Light is the strongest weapon since after the level cap increase to 50 the Sealing Bow gets outclassed by it in damage.
That mission was pretty easy for me, but I play on normal mode and zelda is my second or third highest level character, and I have all her combos upgraded and health upgraded. I also used the elemental rods to help I just love her bow of light form.
The only way to do that mission with your sanity intact is to separate the Lynels, but the fucking things follow you wherever you go, so no matter what you’ll usually end up fighting two of them at the same time. Hope you’re good at Flurry Rushes, or you’re just fucked.
She honestly is one of the most powerful characters in the game. I keep her level the highest, along with my other preferred characters. Once she awakens her sealing power and doesn’t just rely on the Sheikah Slate, she’s damned near unstoppable. She can drain weak-point gauges almost as fast as Mipha, and her light-based attacks are very powerful.
This is true, but the level 6 strong attack and "holy" mode variant of the attack are very nearly a solid replacement that can be used basically whenever and as much as you want. Especially the combo version since it forces out weakness gauges
@@mediumxanax Yeah... One moment they're there... and there... and then gone. Felt like either not enough spawned for such a small level. I got lucky... granted I imagine it would've been easier if set to easy but I did almost all my stuff on normal or hard.
@@ScottE-2 Omega Force doesn't always think through the full consequences of their level designs, particularly when it comes to time limits in combination with events triggering or spawn rates. I failed to S-rank several missions in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 simply because I was too efficient in killing everything, causing me to miss the KO count requirement due to never encountering enough enemies. One of the Dynasty or Samurai games had an optional mission to unlock an item that pretty much required you to pause the game upon reaching a particular gate, as the strict time limit didn't account for the fact that the gate wouldn't open until all previously queued messages had been processed, which could take 30+ precious seconds.
When I got this game, I was so excited to play as zelda, but the sheika slate moveset was just too different for me. However, when I got the bow of light, I fell in love with it. It took some time getting used to, but I was so excited to play as the powerful princess with her awoken power. I am so happy you did a video on this so I can better my own skills. And so far, she is my highest level character in game.
I definitely disagree with the weapon build. Agree with attack speed but I also recommend special attack charge as it is what is used up when in unique action mode. (Which I use a lot in my play style) Also, I've been trying to figure out whether Zelda's unique action attacks count as "special attacks" or "strong attacks" because depending on which it counts as would change which seals you should use there. I was really hoping you would touch on that... but oh well. Thanks for the video.
I mean, I would guess strong attacks? That’s a good question. But since it’s not literally the A button special attack, I guess them being classified as strong attacks would make more sense

I only just now noticed 1 error in your video. When talking about Zelda's Stasis attack, you mention that, when setup with a ring, can shred WP's on its own. The mistake is when you said "if you mash *X* enough." X is the finisher button, so you definitely meant *Y.*
Man it's been a bit hasn't it? Been replaying botw on master mode in anticipation for the AoC dlc so it's nice to see a guide on a character I wish I found fun but is so weird I kinda instantly dismissed her.
As someone who felt similar at first, I would recommend zelda with the weapon build mentioned in the video (when you return for dlc). Can't really describe it better than "just feels much more natural than her standard moveset". Those speed-up seals do wonders I guess. Instantly turned me around once I tried her with that setup. . . . Though that could just be me figuring out what to do at that point and not the actual "feel" of the moveset ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
I had the issue at first too. But once I unlocked all of her attacks and levelled up her weapon a little, she started feeling good. Especially once you get her final strong attack. She's still very different from everyone else, and she can't cut grass, making her virtually useless, clearly, but she can deal some serious AOE damage and feels great to take down hordes with. I just think she really suffers from being unlocked pretty late game and being forced to use her before being able to unlock her attacks or upgrade her weapon for even just slightly more damage output
Personally, I think a good alternate build for Light Bow Zelda is boosting how much you fill the special gauge with attacks. That way you can get more time for luminescent mode even faster.
@@canofpeanut Yeah, I’m with you there. Bow of light seems kind of clunky. Especially since you can’t get the most out of it until after the game forces you to use it for the first time.
Man, this has been such a fun game. I can't wait for the DLC later this month. Looking forward to your continuing content for it. Hopefully they'll add in a mode for replayability to use all of these lessons you've left us with. As is, the only thing worth replaying after 100% are the blood moon stages, and maybe replaying the final challenge mission at Fort Hateno. I'm just too strong for everything else, and most of my characters don't even use the strongest versions of their weapons. Zelda is one of the characters who I want to prep for the DLC though, so I keep grinding with her, Link, the King, and Mypha. Having 4 characters who I adore playing in a game like this is great, especially since they largely all feel very different from one another. What a great game
I feel like the "perfect" weapon builds, particularly in this game are more general guides to "if you have a seal with Speed up, you should put it on if it has room." It's just not time efficient for the power of a maxed weapon. You're likely to have finish practically the entire postgame to get all the seals and high quality drops to put together a single "perfect" weapon, and even then you'll be very lucky to do so. In the previous game, making a "perfect" weapon was semi worth it due to how much game there was and how relatively easily you could find 90% of what you needed just playing into postgame. (but even then you didn't need one for 90% of the things in that game.)
@@quartz_gg9090 Yeah, this game is in dire need of some more replay value modes. The DLC mentioned new maps, but not new modes. Hopefully they add some stuff that'll really add to the post-game, cause it's so easy to hit 100% and then all that's left is to grind for grinding's sake and just trying to enjoy the game more even though you've already cleared every challenge in it
@@swift7842 The problem is that there is no real reason to grind. By the time I finished all the missions, I had only ever found 2 speed ++ seals, but I just stopped playing. This game has way less content than HWDE.
Speed++ is simply the most important seal in the game. It's not the rarest, that goes for fusion seal ++ which is 381%, 445% or something insane, but still hard to get and it benefits 85% of the characters (everyone except Riju, Teba and Revali). The best mission to grind seals is the siege of Hateno Wall, you can get 32-37 weapons in each run.
I still play this game to the date and Zelda Bow is my fav to play as. I built the Bow of Light with only attack speed and she can pretty much do close as one-handed sword Link with looping enemies into oblivion. Put a ring on them, find good timing to use her YYYYYX or YYYYYYX to reveal the weakpoint gauge, do YY to keep the gauge out long enough for you to get close enough to use Stasis, mash the hell out of X and gauge is gone. Do one full chain of all her normal attacks, do the weakpoint smash and the enemy will be stunned long enough for you to start over from her weakpoint gauge revealing strong attack.
It might have just been the level/weapon power gap when I first unlocked the bow but it seemed really weak based on her performance in that mission and the training, but maybe I just didn't give it enough of a chance
I can take enemies out faster with her than any of my other characters, you may not really get into her fighting style, I don't click with Urbosa's or Ruji's despite loving them both. The more you enjoy a character's playstyle the easier they are to play, at least in my experience
When you can get a good rhythm going with her, Zelda feels pretty powerful, but with how unintuitive she is to play in either incarnation it's entirely too easy to get thrown off and completely lose your handle on her. She's the type of character where you really need to make her your main to get consistent results.

There isn't anything too special about it, it can block a guardian blast and then shatter like most of the other characters, otherwise it's nothing special
There's one thing missing from these guides, and that's why would I use each of these moves? I am not better off than before I watched the video honestly. I still don't actually know how to use the character. Everything I do feels week - I had a terrible time in her training mission - even failed it at first. I actually beat it faster by not using her ZL skill? I have no idea which attacks are good against what situations. No clue. All I really want to know is a few things... no crazy details is required. 1) Best combination to clear trash mobs 2) Best combination to do the most damage to single-targets 3) Best ways to make weak point gauge come up If a person knows that for each character, they basically know 99% of what they need to know to play optimally. They can afford not knowing everything else, because weak point gauges and killing lots of mobs within a time limit is basically the entire gameplay.
This was perhaps my least favourite move set in the game - but I just knew you were gonna come along and show how I’m doing it wrong. Lol, I’ll have to have another go
How do I even get Weapons that good? Just beat the main story and I'm very confused. Also my Zelda only seems to have a single special gauge so I'm definitely doing something wrong.
Chechu SR has the right idea in battle, but you will unfortunately not be able to change her outfit in her picture during in-battle dialogue, as far as I know.
Couldn't even finish her training, so here i am. Her attack radius is shit and damage is not that good. Maybe that's because of her lack of mobility and overall different playstyle. But why bother with all of these complications when you can just do unga bunga with link or mipha. Maybe i should invest in her more, but i don't really feel i want to.
Wait, you said Zelda can't use other attacks while her enemy is in stasis, but you showed her doing just that with water Blight. What did you do? Side note: Zelda is best girl. Nuff said.
