For the people who are gonna do the tooth pick thing, be careful because this could damage the charging port. Be careful and hopefully your problem is fixed

You're a lifesaver!!! My phone mysteriously turned off 4 years ago, and would'nt take a charge. I bought a new battery and used different chargers, but still. I went ahead and bought a new phone and kept the old one. I had this feeling I lost valuable things I would never obtain back. From time to time, I would try new methods to access the phone but nothing seemed to work....Til now! It appears the power button was jammed. After clicking it several times, I was able to charge and turn the phone on, thus recollecting pics and vids I thought I would never get back. Thanks, man!

Thank you very much. I thought I was going to lose all of my data, my photos and access to my dropbox. Just taking out the battery for half a minute cured the problem. I am so grateful

easy tip: "abuse" your phone until it will charge by itself xD

It worked. Took about 30 seconds. First I tried using a plastic toothpick to clean the usb, still would not charge. Then I tried pressing the power buttons for a minute or less. Thank you.

normally my phone needs to be charged. which of course is normal, but here's the catch: the cord has to literally be at some random angle. it is not the cord, or outlet, or adapter, ive tried all different types of those, so im thinking its my port. i hope your tips work. if so, thank you!

Watched you keep on cleaning. Didn't believe you, but had no better option. Cleaned hopelessly miniscule lint out with a wood toothpick for 20 minutes (in a daze). My Note8 is now charging - DANG! You are THE man!!

My phone case didn't have enough room for the body of the charger to fit through the case and make a connection. It bent the pin plate inside the phone. I cut the case back with a razer blade to give it clearance and it was fine until much later it started having trouble charging rapidly. It began slowly at first, then it was 50/50 and most recently it only charges slowly. I watched this video, turned the phone off, used a sewing needle and magnifying glass to very carefully dig out the port without touching the pin plates. I was SHOCKED at how much lint came out of the port. After that, I turned it back on, pushed the charger into the port and it snapped into place much deeper than usual lately. Much to my joy, i only heard the one charging tone for rapid charge and not the second which indicated slow charge mode. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Thanks for this video. It helped to jumpstart my LG K670 metroPCS phone which i stopped using a year ago. The method which worked for me was taking out the battery and long pressing the power button for 1 minute. after that, i put the battery back and plugged in the cable. The screen started which showed 0% charge. now the phone appears to be taking a charge and the screen is on, so it worked!!! Thanks again!!!

Hey guys! I got something for you! Use this method 1.go to setting then turn on flight mode 2.turn off another feature like bluetooth,rotate phone and etc 3. Turn on battery saver 4.Go to file Manager 5.charge your phone until full This works on vivo y51 vivo y53!!
