I feel it was more so direction than casting being the problem. I know he's older now, but in my opinion Jim Carrey is doing a good job at playing a full of himself genius as Dr. Robotnik. This type of character is what the Riddler essentially is in several incarnations.
My biggest problem with Danny DeVito’s Penguin is that Tim can’t decide whenever he wants us to see Penguin as a monster or as a poor misunderstood villain. Like at one point he bites a dude’s nose off and another point his having a monologue about how his parents rejected him
I always got the impression that the character was using his backstory as a way to manipulate Gotham into getting access to the names of the children he wanted. It seemed he stalled that plan when he thought he could become Mayor but aside from that, I don't think he was ever meant to have good intentions.

@@oliverqueen9886 Not to mention Falcone, Victor Zsasz, Commissioner Loeb, Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy (the last two are by default for anyone like me that did not watch the Batman 66 show). And that is only counting the ones in other films and shows you can include Lee Thompkins, Mad Hatter, Professor Pyg, Hugo Strange, Azreal,, and Harvey Bullock. Plus there is all of the original characters who I don't want to mention because I will be here all night typing.

Apart from you ranking Bane and Two-Face way too high I agree with you on much of this. Honestly I think the Batman Returns villains get underrated, Pfiefer is way better than Bane or Two-Face and The Penguin in Returns is awesome, as is Ras and Scare Crow in Batman Begins.
I think bane gets s tier. The fact that he’s not 100% comic accurate is fine for me. I think he was an amazing villain for the movie and the best movie adaptation of his character well ever get. Very creative when he was made
14:02 The fun thing about this is that...he didn't died like a hero (Because Rachel died insted of him) So he lived long enough to became a villain; Two Faces.
1. Joker 2. Bane 3. The riddler 4. Two face 5. Ra’s al ghul Also I really loved the batmans version of penquin and I’m really hyped for the penquin hbo max series
I like how a lot of Batman’s villains either directly reflect or challenge one of Batman’s greatest qualities each Joker challenges batman’s morality Riddler reflects and tests batman’s intelligence Penguin reflects batman’s wealth Two face reflects Batman’s sense of justice Cat woman reflects Batman’s vigilantism Clayface reflects batman’s identity issues Ivy reflects batman’s value for life Killer croc reflects batman’s demonic nature and appearance Mr freeze reflects Batman’s tragedy Bane reflects and challenges Batman’s strength Deathstroke reflects and challenges Batman’s combative prowess Harley Quinn reflects Batman’s need for Robin Scarecrow reflects batman’s use of fear The Phantasm reflects batman’s vengeance The list goes on and on
My top 5 1. The joker from the dark Knight 2. Riddler from the batman 3. Scarecrow from batman begins 4. Two face from the dark Knight 5. Bane from the dark Knight rises
I agree but for me Heath's joker and Dano's Riddler are tied because personally, i like the darker, creepier type of villain Riddler was in The Batman. But of course no one can say Heath Ledger isnt the best live action batman villain of all time. I jus think I enjoyed Dano's Riddler a little bit more cuz of the tone of the film. Perfect portrayals of both characters though.
Tom hardys bane while not Latino is at least inspired by Romani British aspects like the accent, which is about all hardy could do to pay homage to banes roots. Dave Bautista is the guy who needs to play bane tho fr
I like your tier list mines was a little different but not to far off but when you do a next like rewriting video can it be rewriting the cw dc universe as the dceu

Wait, I was expecting to see the villains from the 1966 Adam West movie batman be included. That’s the first live action theatrically released Batman movie and there are 4 villains in it.
ADAM WEST series 10/10 Loved it! BATMAN (1989) 7/10 Good, but still working out the bugs. ..... RETURNS ✝ 10/10 ✝ Perfect! Not too campy or dark. ✝ ...... @@flintlockwood25 i get that, but again Lex kinda counts as a villain to Batman as they do clash with each other on several occasions in the comics; in particular during Lex's term as president as well as LexCorp being one of Wayne Enterprises largest competitors
8:06 U clearly haven't watched Gotham, because otherwise u would never even think about considering Collin Forrel's Penguin the best live action version of the character. Robin Lord Taylor overshadows him by Dimensions.
I have to disagree with some parts of this list. Shwartzenegger's "Mister Freeze" would have been below Riddler and Two-Face on my personal list. I still cringe at all the wooden one-liners his character is guilty of.
I really didn't like Scarecrow at all in Batman Begins. They just didn't know how they wanted to portay the character. One moment he was absolutely terrifying, the next he was a pathetic, grovelling loser. He should've veen terrifying all the way through and made into the main villain.
It makes sense to portray him that way. It's a way of introducing tension with him being terrifying, then providing a heroic moment for Batman when he gets the upper hand against Scarecrow.
@@NeoConnor1 but Batman never really had that moment in Batman Begins. Scarecrow was defeated by a tazer from Rachel from memory and ran off whimpering.
I'm so sick of the Heath Ledger's Joker love. He's a greasy Weasley incel beta, and that's why the comic book fans love him. He's only intimidating because the script says he is. In actuality, no one would follow him, he'd have no goons, and he'd be a complete pushover. Like he's FINE as joker, but it's not the end all be all, he's so try hard, he lacks any sense of intimidation and cool, his lip smacking is annoying, I'm surprised they didn't give him a neck beard. Harley Quinn would never be attracted to that. It is literally the only beta joker in existence when you look at the cool and strong presence of others like Hamils and Nicholson's, but yeah, this wimpy greasy cringe lord is the best joker...yeah okay.
