The All Blacks have claimed a thrilling 36-29 victory over the Wallabies with a late Beauden Barrett try seeing New Zealand claim their 15th consecutive Bledisloe Cup.
It's good to see a close game like this. I feel bad for the Aussie fans always being let down. Even though I want NZ to win, it's still good to see the Aussies having something to get excited about.
you should have seen the video of them in the studio for the last 5 min , Fucking funny , they thought they had it , Never back off and just defend against the ABs
One of the greatest games of Rugby. Love the close scoring, edge of your seat games. I watched this live and was great then, and still great now in 2019 😂
Kurtley beale scoring that try with a bloody face then the ABs securing the win last minute, what a mindblowing game no matter the result. From an ABs fan, god bless the bledisloe
i will say this im a kiwi and all blacks thru n thru but that was like watchn the wallabys of old was a awesome heart thumping game by both sides well done.
Yawn....we are...5th largest economy in the World....the legacy of the largest Empire the World has ever known and all from a tiny island....delightfully happy and content.....and if you don't like us then stop coming over by the car/truck/plane/boatload...arse
The Stadium in Dunedin is a great venue - I've been there a few times and the atmosphere is fantastic and the teams enjoy playing on a dry pitch. It doesn't have the spectator capacity of other, bigger, stadia in New Zealand, which is why, in this dollar-dominated Rugby age, we don't see so many international games in Dunedin. The ones that we do see, however, tend to be pretty exciting...
Love those Aussie commentators. Marto is highly entertaining to the point of being over excited. AB's fan but still respect the wobs. Go you good thing.
I don't mind that the wallabies lost because who could get that close to winning against the all blacks in New Zealand but I'm still disappointed that we didn't win
al capone that kick I remember vividly. My heart sank! I tell you What, church that day the reverend prayed for nz and their sorrow. Hahahahahahahahahahaha. What a moment that was.
I remember that too vividly, and it has many times been announced that the All Blacks remember the losses more than the wins. Obviously the Eales kick, the Kefu try and Gregans try saving tackle on Wilson stick to mind most, but how can you possibly forget Fekitoas last minute tryan Slades conversion and not forgetting the game of the century when Lomu crossed the line in the last minutes to win the game. The losses which stick to mind are the Irish in Chicago (because it was the 1st time they beat us), but they were due that after we cruelly beat them in Dublin in the game of THIS century.
All blacks fan always. But the Aussies displayed great heart, and, it was actually awesome and heart racing watching a game like this between the giants. Aus vs NZ should ALWAYS be the fiercest rivalry in rugby history. Stuff the northerners. This made me happy because it showed the potential Australian rugby has, and they have every right to claim their 2nd place in world rankings.
Darren Pene,i don't know where you get your up dates and info from but Aussie are not the 2nd ranked team and they may have came close to the ABS but at the end of the day, they still lost.In the last 2+years see how many points the ABS have put to Aussies and how many they have put to the ABS.I will say no more.
O SOL3 MIO Thought it was you. Might watch you and bros sing "E ihoa Atua o nga iwi matou ra" for the blacks in Japan 19'. Never mind the wallys' just keep'em xmas winery tours coming.. See yous at the Villa this Christmas malo SOLE!!!
England have beaten Australia in their last 4 meetings including a 3-0 series win in Australia. The world rankings clearly show England in second place. So why the stuff the Northerners statement anyway? Given how little the average Australian cares about Rugby Union, the Wallabies have performed miracles over the years to win the WC twice and remain competitive. However, the game in Australia is in a parlous state and union is under real threat. More generally and more worrying the international game is an uncompetitive shambles. Most of the top Clubs would easily beat all international teams outside the top 4 or 5 and even then I think they would turn over even the top international teams. The clubs already argue that this makes a nonsense of the IRB's continuing policy of seeing the international game as the crown jewels. In France more people are interested in their clubs than the French national team. Although the clubs remain controlled by the IRB, at least for now, that is clearly not sustainable in a sport that is played competitively in so few countries. I cannot see how the future for Union is anything but a club game.
myroseaccount myroseaccount you might be right, bro, particularly about some clubs being able to beat many international teams. How much of that do you think is attributable to the amount of power clubs wield? The money and draw that northern hemisphere clubs in particular have available is obviously good for individual players and the clubs themselves but I'm not sure how beneficial it is to the international game (Pacific Island nations and their ilk, in particular). Here in NZ, the game is controlled by the national rugby union to the point that players are even contracted to the governing body, not to the clubs. I think that is one of the major reasons that the All Blacks remain as dominant as they are: they have the power to make decisions that are of benefit to all levels of the game (not that all of their decisions necessarily achieve that) including when players are able to play internationals etc. Privatising the clubs here would erode that. There isn't the $$$ here to compete with the big European clubs so full privatisation could be a disaster here. As it is, the major factors influencing players to stay are the quality of the rugby and coaching, and the rule that only NZ-based players are eligible for the All Blacks - almost the only cards NZ Rugby has to play. Hmmm it appears I didn't really address your original comment - apologies, but hopefully a point or two in there you'll find interesting
Poor wallabies...they deserved to win this game...they played so much better than their past 5yrs vs the Abs...this is what rugby should be like...down to the wire & both teams playin fighting for the victory, rather than one way traffic...keep ya heads up wallabies...ABs never say die til the final whistle...great game overall #MenInBlack
If Australia just kicked straight.......There's 1 thing I want to see in Rugby Union before I die and that is Australia win a Bledisloe with the Decider being at Eden Park.
Yeah I think they kind of thawt they had it and relaxed a bit but that's all the AB's need and we took it but still you guys should have got there great game hope both Aussie and Springboks return to the top again we need Yous
Reminds me of a match between the All Blacks and Australia a couple decades back , Aus 19 nil at half time , the match ended 19 apiece , a match were both sides completely dominated one half of the match
AL3X2580 They’ve won the most games, 1st country to win 3 rwc and 2 back to back, compared to every other team recently and historically, they always have many more wins above them. Even SA (This years rwc winners) have a total of around 30+ against the All Blacks whilst ABs have I think 59
@@TJ-kj9ki ALllBlacks aren't the first team to 3 WCs. When the ABs wpm their first WC SA wasn't even part of World Rugby. They couldn't even compete there its not a fair comparison. 1995 onward SA are the first team to win 3 WCs no one else has.
I’m Irish ☘️ yes I love rugby I love my country ok but at World Cup 11. In nz Ireland played Aussie in group stages the comentaters mocked us and said we will beat Ireland without breaking a sweet well i was there all of n Zealand roared and our fans to victory the famous choke hold was made in New Zealand that day by us geania know this New Zealand will win 3in row
The most salient point about the "Heartbreak loss" is that the ball was regained from the kickoff. The game management was superb. The captain said "right guys this is what we need to do" and it worked the finishing was special but the key was winning the kick off. The fact that it wasn't shown makes me respectfully wonder if they knew what really happened.
Even as a heartbroken aussie this was the sickest game of rugby ever. Also does anyone else think reads ball at the end may have been a tad forward? He passes it on the 22 and the other bloke catches it in front of it. doesn't matter in the end ripper game
Ruben Aucamp; australian rugby union needs to have a long hard look at itself. but alas, it will achieve nothing because theyre blind. if you field and international team, it needs to represent a nation. not a state noone knows of.

The Aussies had great fortune in the first 20 minutes. Three of the softest tries they will ever score against NZ. The third one came off the back of a Wallaby scrum that was *decimated*, and somehow they not only retained the ball but scored in one phase, from 70 metres out. I shook my head in disbelief when I saw that. One of the most unlikely tries ever scored.
I support the ABs, but I wish that the Wallabies won this one just to make boost their confidence. They were really in a very bad place last week and if they didn't perform today, they are going to be in trouble. Hopefully they keep this up. I want to see the Southern Hemisphere rugby on top again and I want to see tighter competition from them.
I would be happy to see the Wallabies win because you know it would be a fantastic game, I just don't know if they have another game like that in them.
I hope Australia doesn't win anything until the ARU board is forced to resign. Wallabies start winning, the ARU has a defence. If the lose every game we can look forward to fresh blood fixing Aus rugby.
Fantastic game from both sides! Great to see Wallabies play such a beautiful style of rugby. NZ crowd didn't seem to be too happy at the end; perhaps it's the fact the All Blacks are not the constant dominating force they are expected to be. Looking forward to England v AB.
