I remember in one of your other videos you mentioned that most of the time people fly their aircraft alone without passengers. You may as well get one of these tandem aircraft and really have fun flying. This is one of the coolest planes ever!

This is just a stunning airframe! I spent the bulk of my training on the unique Morovan Zlins and it was another plane that is easy to fly but difficult to fly well and it’s exactly what you want! This is a trainer that I would want to go rent!

Man! I Love it….it’s like the T34 and T6!….We flew in Pilot Training. I’m not big on GA aircraft…but that plane is off the chain! It’s like a mini P51 Mustang!…Thanks Mojo….for sharing……UDA MAN!!!

The more our guy talked the more on board I got! Sounds like they really want to make a flyers plane, and I dig that. Not sure how well bubble canopy training will help civilian pilots destined for side be side offices but it could encourage making a flyer first and a pilot second. Also I know he said maintenance would be easier, but two piece fuses mean less options to get inside and fix things. I think the same thing about Diamond Aircraft and TTx’s. You gotta hope nothing goes wrong EVER

Interesting. My old man is an ancient A&P, and I'm interested in both this and Diamond. Would you be able to expound in that a bit, so that I can poorly articulate that to him, save him from figuring that out in his own? 🤣 It's important enough to factor into a buying decision 🤘

I think the carryover for airlines would be high power/weight and higher flight speeds.

Beautiful shape, very nice! I suspect it costs 2x what it should. Would love to learn on this but all the schools around here have Cessnas. Wish they would buy a few of these too!

I visited the ALPI aircraft company a few years back and they have a line of Rotax planes very similar to this, expect they are wood and composite. Very sleek looking machines. I would fly either.

Ive seen It in Naples Italy and It looks way cooler than in video, you have no idea how cool It Is, its a pleasure to control and if controlled properly is Way more economical than It seems thanks to aerodinamics

You need to put an IO540 in that plane. It needs to go faster. Also turbo prop options.

Looking down the list your the first person to make any sensible comment. It comes with an IO-320 with 160hp. I doubt the 540 would fit so a 200 or 215 hp IO-360/390 or similar would be better. But the thing I noticed are the G limits +4.4G -2.0G *ITS NOT EVEN AEROBATIC RATED* It look real good but the fact it doesn't have basic let alone full aerobatics makes it a bit suspect.

@@texan2560 Its a nice looking plane and I wouldn't say no to flying one, but it seems overrated. That little canard plane the Revelaero he showed a while back seems to be a better option if your looking for your own fighter plane. Or you could just go by an L29 or L39 or if you really have the cash a T38. Yeah there are a few T38s in private hands.

@@maxjohnson1758 Yeah I sometimes wonder how much of a pilot this guy is versus how much he's trying to help advertise various planes. Yeah this plane is kind of neat in its way, but the numbers just don't add up. What actual role is it supposed to do. The Tandem seating has an issue. The instructor can't see what the student is actually doing. Its one fo the most fundamental aspects of basic flight training. When I first graduated the RAAF (Australia) had an RFP for a basic trainer and the 1st requirement was for side by side seating specifically so instructors could watch their students. The philosophy was - Once they have their basic cockpit behaviour settled then tandem's fine.

This is a nicely done piece Mike. As for the plane, I don't think it would be ideal for training civilian pilots. Students need to be looking outside and not at a video screen and the one in back is not going to be having a full view of the situation.

Just like most other cool/well designed new aircraft, you aren’t touching one for under $500K and to add one to a rental fleet at a flight school you are talking at least $250/hr. I still rent and only use Cessna 172’s from my club because they are $169/hr. wet. What is needed is an aircraft just like the one in this video, but that is affordable and that can actually get more people into aviation at a decent price point.

The biggest mistake that all of these tandem airplane companies make is not just stretching the fuselage a tiny bit more... just enough extra space for a bunch of baggage or a non pilot passenger. I could never buy this without room for a bunch of luggage or gear... and its amazing how often the number of people we have in my current aircraft is three.. the wife and I will bring up a relative or friend... or I will bring up a couple. Someone needs to make a three person tandem.

Not particularly impressive cruise speed for 160 horse. Does it run on mogas? if it's leaded only that can become niche real quick. I think there are 915 planes with faster cruise, I guess they wanted to get away from LSA image, not sure that was the way but might work on some.
