Hi Patrick, First of all, i would like to take a moment to thank you for the quality videos you uploading to viewers, it really helped me a lot. I am hearing a lot of noise on VoIP going down in demand due to Cloud technology?? Am wondering if you can share your thoughts on should we have to focus on CCIE Colloab which takes ample amount of time [Preparation 6-10 months] or move ahead anith any other streams of CCIE than VoIP?
@PatrickKinane1
@PatrickKinane1 4 года назад
Hello Pramodhvtb, Thank you for the nice commands and feedback. VoIP will still be around even with cloud technologies; however, it would change to cloud solutions possibly. I am meeting with a Technical Solutions Architect from our sales department. He does collaboration and other technologies so I will get his insight on this. We will include it in the video we are going to make; however, this is a peak into my perspective: Originally WebEx Teams was not going to integrate with onprem CUCM and it would be only for cloud... they are now integrating WebEx Teams with onprem; therefore, I think onprem solutions will be around for some time.

Hello Parag, with your experience I think you should be good with 300-810 CLICA or 300-815 CLACCM. I've not taken CLICA since before the exams were available so I am not sure what the final product is like. I did take CLACCM recently and I thought the exam was done well and it is fair. 300-820 CLCEI might be good; however, 25% of the exam is Cisco WebEx Technologies. I think that 25% might make the exam difficult for many to pass. Here are the exam topics for you to see the topics and determine which you feel most comfortable with. 300-810 CLICA: learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/clica-exam-topics 300-815 CLACCM: learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/claccm-exam-topics 300-820 CLCEI: learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/clcei-exam-topics

Great video Bro. How much previous experience do you recommend before preparing for ccie certification? I have two years of experience working with uc solutions. Recently i got a job as collaboration engineer level 1 and level 2 at a cisco gold partner. This year i am gonna for ccnp collab and the next year i am gonna for ccie. Do you think that it is possible? i am working and studying hard every day.
@PatrickKinane1
@PatrickKinane1 4 года назад
Hello Jose! Thanks for watching and for the feedback. Based on what I see in your comment, you’ll definitely be ready after getting your CCNP. There is no recommended amount of time because I know people who skipped NA/NP and went directly to the IE. If you continue on the collaboration track, use CollabCert with Vik Malhi. They are great for CCIE collaboration. It’s money well spent when you sign up with them. Best of luck in the new job, best of luck with all your studies, keep up the great work and all the studying and you’ll do amazing things. I’d love to hear updates as things move along for you.

@PatrickKinane1
@PatrickKinane1 4 года назад
Hello, Geno! Very cool to have someone from Uganda checking these out. Thanks for letting me know what country you are watching from. I really enjoy that. As for the documentation in the lab. This is something people can access; however, I don't know many people that used it. There are some people that reference it, but not many that rely heavily on it. For me, I didn't even look for the documentation in the lab. I wanted to know everything well enough that I could just do what I needed to do without referencing documentation. It made me feel more confident as I was relying on my own abilities and I wasn't dependent on the documentation. Part of why I did it this way is because I didn't want to find myself in a situation where the documentation was unavailable for some reason, the other reason is that you can get things done faster if you already know the information and don't need to find it in a document. I hope that addresses your concerns.
