Interestingly, not many people know that David Ruffin wasn't initially considered for the position. It was actually Jimmy Ruffin, David's brother, who was very close to becoming the fifth member of The Temptations. They were seriously considering him as Al's replacement. However, during a New Year's Eve event, possibly similar to a movie scene, Jimmy invited David on stage, calling him his little brother. David seized the moment and delivered an outstanding performance that impressed everyone. This turn of events led to David Ruffin joining The Temptations, marking a significant moment in his career.

For example, look at the video “Your My Everything.” When the camera was on Eddie, Otis was behind him trying to look at the camera for attention. I don't know why this video is switching back and forth between David and actors and even completely unrelated characters like Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. There are people who might not be able to distinguish among this mish-mash. And P.S., the Temptations are not a band! Whoever wrote or narrated or produced this? I don't think they know who the Temptations are.

Indeed messy but I heard Tammy mother blamed James brown for her death too, he was very abusive towards her hit her in the head violently after a stage performance beat her down to the basement because she supposedly came up on stage behind the curtain but was told to wait down stairs 💔😢🕊️💝🙏🏽

Yes he did out shined her in that video. It was towards the end of the show where she was dancing like a kid. After the show, Berry told David not to out sing Diana again. They were arguing about it. That’s when David told Berry that Diana and Eddie were sleeping together. That shut Berry’s mouth up, according to sources.

David most certainly didn't up stage Diana, I thought what he did was horrible yelling screaming like he did, it was embarrassing, maybe it was ok during a Temptations show but not with The Supremes and on the Ed Sullivan show, Dennis Edwards was a great replacement, TCB was a record breaking show.

Now we are getting somewhere! 👏🏽 Dennis could sing his butt off. I loved his voice. You can tell he use to sing gospel music. I still heard it in his voice sometimes. I liked how Dennis, Eddie and David were close friends after leaving the group.

Nobody really knows that much about David Ruffin but there is an interview with Eddie Kendricks on youtube where he talks about David Ruffin and there is a speech David made when the Temptations were inducted into the hall of fame on youtube and you can see he was a soft spoken person. NOT A CRAZY GUY.
