All Cloud Visions of Aerith Death - Final Fantasy VII Remake (FF7 2020) 

Cloud is basically playing New Game + but forgot what he did in the playthrough 23 years ago.

Cloud is like the embodiment of players who are trying to enjoy they're time with Aerith but are getting PTSD flashbacks of what's to come.

I'm 100% sure Aerith knows what will happen. She always seems suddenly pensive and a bit sadder but then immediately smiles as if nothing was wrong... Aerith is just like the majority of the fandom, she KNOWS what's coming.

Killing Aerith indirectly failed Sephiroth's plan, as she began her conquest of the lifestream and ultimately stopped meteor. If the remake is what they say, and the cast is aware of their future, Sephiroth will actually try to keep Aerith alive so the chances of meteor striking are higher

Oooooh, her walking away from him in chapter 9 gives me heavy vibes from the scene where she runs away in the forest before the Forgotten City, cloud couldn’t move while she kept moving further away

I'm a hard Cloud x Aerith shipper since the old times but I feel the need to say that Nomura is NOT in charge of the scenario of the remake like people like to joke about... the one who rewrites the story is the one who also wrote it in the past, Nojima Kazushige. Which means he most likely won't change anything about his career's masterpiece... Guess we can only hope he's in the mood for better endings and not this tragedy Cloud gets visions of. Also, now that I have seen Cloud in this remake I can't help but realize how depressed he is in Advent Children and makes me want to have Aerith live EVEN more than before :/

1:55 I think Nomura trying to give us a hint that in the next installment, we're going to have three different routes in the game. And each route have different story. Or maybe we'll the one to decide the fate of our party member. Lastly, it seems that the first installment is for world building story.

I just watched the original ending of final fantasy 7 where the last clip is a vision of aerith looking into the mako energy just as she did in the beginning of final fantasy 7 and the remake. Somebody in those comments suggested something that seemed actually very plausible and thats that final fantasy 7 is a vision of the future that aerith experienced through looking into the mako. It would explain why the whispers are after her when you meet her. Im assuming that Cloud has these visions because he's infused with mako or something and has a connection with aerith which triggers him seeing what she experienced in final fantasy 7. As for sephiroth he might experience something similar but on another level. Not saying this is the truth, but it does make the story of ff7 remake more interesting to me 🤷‍♂️

Probably these flashbacks are the hints that this game has it’s own timeline. They reused some scenes from FF7: Advent Children. They have different buster sword design like Crisis Core.

The last scene... I think that was the original Aerith. Her consciousness. When she was speaking to Cloud it’s like she was speaking to the original one.

Aerith is so adorable, and I love her voice! I'm more of a Tifa fan, but Aerith is cool too. Aerith is very aware of her fate, and knows what her destiny is, and what she must do.

Every moment with Aerith is bittersweet to me. I’m happy to see her, but there’s always the foreboding feeling that this is going to end very badly, and I don’t think I have the heart to see *that part* happen again. 7:33 This is definitely giving me PTSD.

I truly TRULY hope Aerith survives this time...

When I okayed ff7 I was soooooooo young. Didn’t understand it much but enjoyed it like crazy. As I got older I didn’t try to replay it because I had moved on to other FF games. I didn’t enjoy seeing them all in kingdom hearts and stuff but I never really got the confirmation that Cloud actually LOVED Aerith (and Not Tifa. I was always rooting for Aerith anyway) I’m very happy this time around they clarified that Cloud actually did love her.

During the first flash Cloud gets, Aeriths hair is already down while she prays. Pretty interesting... In the original her hair ribbon gets undone after Sephiroth stabs her and she lets go of her hands.

What if Aerith still dies, but by her own terms? I can't ever see Aerith defying the wishes of the planet, since she IS part Cetra. It doesn't suit her character. I'd be all for her living, of course, though. There are several possibilities that Square can run with here. It's clear Aerith knows something, probably already knows what's supposed to happen. Hence her warning to Cloud, amongst most of her dialogue in the game. XD They made that fairly obvious. The time traveling theories, though, can go either way. They are obviously going to tell a different story here, so I just hope it's mind blowing!

Imagine you're given the choice before Aerith goes to the temple: shall you let her go or shall you make her stay. If you choose to let her go, she dies and the game ends the usual way. But if you don't, you save her but at the very end half of the Gaia is destroyed by the Meteor and your friends die the same way as shown in the cutscene

I do hope Aerith will be survived. But someone has to sacrifice. Maybe all lifeform that carries Jenova cell will be taken away. Including Soldiers, Zack and Cloud. The ending would be perfect and legend.

4:58 - this is literally ripped from Advent Children's intro. I thought it was just a frame-for-frame shot, but you can see the newer Buster Sword design from AC/Crisis Core! Makes me disappointed Zack didn't have this design considering his scene is in an alternate timeline with a different Stamp. Would have been a really nice Easter Egg.

Inside this Cloud soul is like us who play so much times the OG FF7 game, and already know about all of the OG story. All inside this Cloud's heart but cannot clearly remember yet, and the Whisper Ghost are mean the old fans like most of us who keep say don't want anything change to the old story, but the creaters of SE want do some more timeline option to the story in the future, so they make a new symbol of the old fans become the Whisper Ghost and let fans defeated them by ourselves, to tell us don't be bound to the OG story only. In the next game fans can choose what ending they want like another old epic game from Square soft, "Chrono Trigger", you can change future and ending by you own choice, no matter Aerith will survive or still die, you can have different end by your own active in the next game, just like the ending of this FF7RE said: the unknown journey". I think SE team want do that. And also the another "If story" that Zack survive line, can become a DLC or another game.

Aerith will be alive in the future story. This is another timeline of Final Fantasy VII.

Aerith will not die the same way in ff7 og. If you play this game to the end, you will see that the vision of Aerith death disappeared after defeating Fates. Cloud cannot feel it anymore. If Aerith die in this remake, it will be another way. So, you will not see Aerith stabbed scene.

Aerith really just looked at Red XIII at 2:47 like, “be my interpreter, because I can’t be the one to tell them”

1:03 : is this maybe the most important scene of the remake for us the older players of the old FF7 imagine that : cloud just saw that aeris would die and broke into tears.... But this time we couldn't see flashback of it ( like few moments of aeris drop of materia as she is supposed to die ) old FF7 end with aeris face and he new remake starts with her face... think about it... I wonder if SE is going to go the visual novel-lite route of making future decisions in later parts have a butterfly effect where important events or people are altered, killed off, etc to try and appease both casual and hardcore fans where they can make/craft their own personal adventure. I've never been a Final Fantasy kind of guy, but I can tell that this whole fate and destiny deal is causing me to remember all those people who wanted Aerith to live will finally get their chance to make it their real canon that she lives. If you ask me, this is a real fine line that Nomura and the team are walking on that could end up either the greatest remake adventure ever or the absolute worst.

I'm an OG player and I wasn't expecting that moment at 1:21... they're really gonna break our hearts. Hard. And with no lube or sympathy. I'm already crying. Fml.

Why do I feel that Nomura is gonna Nomura this game and screw everything over and give an unsatisfactory ending like that of KH3

All those visions of the future, now that they've seen them hopefully those can be changed like Aerith's terrible fate for one, hopefully they can save her in part 2!
