I love supports between characters with an established history together. It's part of why I love the Blue Lions so much. And now I love the Constance support with Mercedes and Jeritza. They have a pre established connection that makes it easier to fall into conversation together. It's nice to have a base foundation for dialogue, and I think it shows when the foundation is strong enough that the conversation feels more natural as a result.
@@Asher849 It's amazing how a few support have turned Jeritza into one of my favorite characters. His support with Mercedes is in my top 10. His support with Constance is great as well for the same established connection. And even the new Bernadetta support brings so much more that we didn't have available before. Imagine how great it would have been had he been in the base game and had support with every Black Eagle as well!
I really like Constance's supports with Ferdinand. That one in particular adds so much to her character while clearly demonstrating Ferdinand's sincerity. Ferdinand never intends to be hurtful or insensitive, but often times lacks awareness of how his actions will be perceived by those he is attempting to show kindness towards. The C conversation really drove home how hurt Constance really is about the tragedy that befell her house, and the B conversation really cemented her doubts that despite all her efforts, she may never bring glory back to the house she lost. At the same time, I also loved seeing Ferdinand's genuine realization of how much he hurt Constance with his words, as well as his sincere desired to make things right. I love how he doesn't posture or claim that Constance misunderstood him. He accepts that whatever his intentions were, he was careless with his words and his own pride got the better of him. He was speaking as a public official offering condolences to one whose life was upended by tragedy, not a friend who wished to grieve and support someone in deep pain. The A conversation serves as a nice reconciliation and also implies that the reason Constance always tries to present a positive and progressive face towards everyone is because she is scared of letting people see her fears and weakness.
I love how Ferdinand got humbled. It made him consider how much he looks like a total ass while pursuing his ideal of nobility and that he sometimes has to consider the effects of his behavior.
@@Stachelbeeerchen Not much of an ass but rather unaware or if not carelessness of what he says despite of his good intentions. I don't think the term "ass" on him is the best way to describe him overall as a character. Yes that he may have ruffled up other people's feathers unintentionally in his supports but nevertheless that other aspects of his characters compensates his flaws.

Constance is great girl because she's not exactly like your typical ojou character you would see in anime and those of a similar style. I want to support her more if you ask me.
Amazing job Pheonix, we now got both of all Hapi and Constance's supports, all that's left is Balthus and Yuri. My favorite support has to be Jeritza. :)
She does realize that she's going to be the Queen of Fódlan right. As an order I would have just tell Knights to rebuild her former territory and treat as a vacation house.
So much lore was added, I thought they were just randomly added characters but her role in the story fits right in. A lost bloodline hidden by an existing crest. I have to say though, she wants to restore her house by entrusting her family's secret with Edelgard but later goes on about how Edel's future doesn't allow that, then Edel explains that her future will allow people to rise from all walks of life to govern in exchange for money... and all she does is see eye to eye because that allows her family name to be recognised, even though her crest already has the right to be recognised and respected! Whilst Edel's stance can be seen as good on her route, it isn't fair for Constance to have to rise to restore her family's name, I believe Edel should keep her promise and give Constance a high position that she rightfully needs and deserves.
@@hexmaniacciaran I know she will, she is capable, but we all know for a fact that if she wasn't talented, edelgard would use her as piece on the board and then discard her if needed, just exactly like she did with bernadetta. Constance has a higher chance of fulfilling her goals by literally helping any other route. She can become part of the alliance or have a place in the kingdom because of her efforts in war and her crest, not to mention support from mercedes and jeritza. Edelgard's future has her fighting the alliance and the kingdom and then work her name without crest reputation, which is way harder and bloodier
same, constance's story themes tie right in with his. when she says "all that is lost can be regained" i realised she was powerful enough to give jeritza of all people hope for the future. like edelgard says even though she appears full of herself, her enthusiasm really can be contagious and inspiring thus helping others a great deal
Ngl I’m disappointed that Female Byleth doesn’t get to S support Constance. But to be fair, F Byleth has a lot more gay supports than M Byleth, so we’ll call it even.

@@MrGksarathy personally i like to see it as the first step toward democracy : france's history is kinda like that, post louis XIV the nobility lost a lot of importance, and then being removed after louis XVI.
@@popkhorne5372 I was thinking more about the Mughal example because the system gradually fell apart as Dehli weakened, but as for the comparison to France, there is no telling how things will progress, and it wasn't even inevitable for France to transition to a democratic government. Heck, France went back and forth between Republic and Monarchy until 1848, and Napoleon III only abdicated in 1871. Point is, there's no telling that this system would be a direct transition to democracy. Also, the nobility remained very important in French society, even if they could no longer maintain private armies and actively intrigue against the monarchy.
@@MrGksarathy yes i agree, getting to democracy after a feodal system is very difficult and france could have gone in a different way, so can fodlan. No one can fully predict the future after all : you can only try to set things on the right path.

I actually really like Constance as a character... But man, the split personality in sunlight gimmick is so dumb. She already has plenty going on. It feels... Tacked on, I guess?
It is linked heavily to her Houses backstory. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure her sadness in sunlight isn't a crest gimmick, it's actual a genuine shift in her personality because she watched her entire family and house get slaughtered in broad daylight, and gets extremely depressed as a result of being in sunlight because of this
V. Emil the II-nd Honestly if I were to compare energies I would say she has incredibly similar tone and mannerisms to Persona 3’s Elizabeth. I just think her personality is pretty Miu-ish.
There are so many things wrong with this comment I hardly know where to begin. “Gets what he deserves”? If you think Ferdinand deserves to be insulted in such a way, you’re either a very sick person, or you’ve slept through all his supports. You believe someone deserves to get yelled at for trying to be nice. The entire rest of this chain is admitting his faults in perspective and word choice, with frequent reminders that his intentions were GOOD. Constance got angry, rightfully, but just like Ferdinand some of the things she said are downright bullying, whether intentional or not. Oh also, nice other hint that Ferdinand is FAR MORE DECENT than some of the other characters: He actually fucking apologises and tries to make things better, instead of some people. (Dorothea.) tl;dr Ferdinand trying to help, saying the wrong things and getting yelled at while actually having good intentions is evident in atleast 3 of his supports. If you haven’t noticed this by now you only judge people by face value, which is downright disgusting.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I think that he unknowingly behaves like an ahole in alot of his supports and that the Dorothea and Constance supports are some of his bests because he gets called out for his bullshit.
