I don't recall if the lore suggests these were all written by the same person, but I choose to believe so. Which makes how the recipes are scattered all the more amusing, like a new player who wanders back and forth across the map for hours, going "Ooh, or maybe I'll build THERE!" (Who am I kidding, hundreds of hours in and I still do that!)
That's actually an interesting thought. Like everywhere a cooking journal can be found, it's because someone had settled in that area for a bit and gathered all the recipes for local specialities. Now the big question, what's your favorite area or dish?
Thank you! Ah, that's intentional as the book teaches you Specialist Cooking I and VI and we wanted to allow for easy timestamps for all books in order (we also show only the recipes for book I first and then for book VI later).
Kinda wanna get the Turanian cook set, and go around the world uncovering all the recipes dressed up as a chef with some sais, too bad they don't have spatulas. Though honestly doing sushi, I mostly use knives and not spatulas these days irl. But still...
Well, there is the "Battle Spatula" from the Library of Esoteric Artifacts in The Unnamed City. I guess you don't have an excuse anymore to not go on the trip 😀

All I have are a fuckton of crappy T4 exiles from that noob river spot, Janos, Markos and a few khitans that I would never risk like that lol. Used to be, one white tiger and I'd be safe everywhere I went. But the one I have now Is really a paper tiger... They overdid it a bit nerfing them. Almost died fighting a large pack of hyenas...
On Siptah you need to do Surges for a chance to get the recipe drop, alternatively via Schemetics Fragments from the Pools of the Grey Ones. You won't find them as books in the world on Siptah.
There are no locations for cooking recipes in Siptah, you have to do Surges in Siptah to get them as drops. Furthermore, making guides takes time, so we can't always cover each and every topic for both, the base game and Expansion.
I believe it's still very luck based, the item that teaches it can drop from any mini boss or enemy spawns during Surges. The Pools of the Grey Ones might also be an option. Unfortunately it's very RNG.

Apologies if the order was confusing. We did all in order of Recipe Book # so viewers can easily jump to what they need with timestamps. The Summoning Place one that teaches 1 and 6, says so at the bottom of the screen, so the footage for 6 is just a repeat and for the sake of being able to skip easily to it.
