Is it just me or did early 2000/late 90s Disney films have way more brutal deaths.

I know you ween't counting anything from direct to video sequels, Pixar, or anyone who was resurrected and therefore technically did not stay dead, but here's a couple you missed that aren't in any of those categories. Cinderella's father, who died in the beginning of the movie. The pirate Captain Hook shot for annoying him. I know they were somewhat off-screen, but so were half the ones you put here.

Now, every death scene in here is a wild ride. But personally, 2:25 Ratagan straight murdering one of his own over some minor slight hit so hard. Villain deaths are a part of the karma. Big deaths like Mufasa and Bambi's mother, Quasimodo's mother, Tarzan's parents and Kokoum(sp?) hit hard because its a part of the narrative. But this scene is so random, in a sense. The guy doesn't deserve it. Yeah, I know he's working for Ratagan, but he's drunk and harmless in this scene. Idk if its the looming pacing, the sudden tonal shift from the upbeat song, the looks of horror from his three compatriots. Just... the scene man... this scene. I know the point was to really showcase how evil Ratagan is. Well, it delivered.

The deaths of Scar and Dr. Facillier are actually pretty similliar. Three bois show up when the Big Bad is defeated. The Big Bad calls them friends. The Bois ignore him and bring the entire gang. The Gang kills the Big Bad.

Jesus Mulan has killed more people than most of Disney villians

I think Scar was the only antagonist that survived the infamous cliff fall, but them hyenas wouldn't let him slide.
