I would think that would make more sense for the eternal mangekyou, since you literally can't get it without another uchiha's eyeballs, which usually would imply that person passing. since the mangekyou can be awakened due to any strong emotion, it wouldn't necessarily have to be hate or anger (even though that's all we see cause it's Naruto and their whole world is kinda horrible and militaristic so of everything is mostly horrible)

@@registeredjopper Any strong emotion can evolve the sharingan up to 3 tomoe, but the mangekyo sharingan can only be awakened by grieving the death of a loved one.

@@network9568 that's what has happened in Naruto, but thinking about the nature of that doujutsu, there's no way that it could differentially activate that way. the fundamental fact is that the user is experiencing extreme emotion. it doesn't really make sense that any other extreme emotion, not just grief, wouldn't have the same effect. idk, that's just my take on it all.

I think you should consider that the Uchiha clan were outcasts and shunned by the rest of the village in a way. So it makes sense that people would have a better understanding of Byakugan and choose praise them more than the Uchiha clan, whether it was for social reasons or not. The immense powers of the sharingan were a mystery to the rest of the village, much like the Uchiha clan was themselves

yea byakugan is better than 3 tomoe sharingan and the show keeps it that way mostly with byakugan doing everything sharingan can in 360 degree vision and barely anyone knew about mangekyo sharingan as it was forbidden in uchiha clan aswell so it kinda makes sense hyuga clan was regarded strongest

The problem with hyuuga clan is they started using byakuugan in taijutsu not ninjutsu. If they started experimenting about chakras and finding out the mysteries of it from the start, they could've mastered multiple bloodline limit (even the more advanced versions like tota, even possible 4,5)rather than a lousy taijutsu user. Byakuugan is stronger than sharingan with observing chakras, the problem is they focosed on disrupting other people chakras rather than getting stronger(observing themselves, then try to implement experiments is safer for them than others). They were originally from the otsutsuki clan having vast amounts of chakras, later became near disabled, not even able to use nature transformation.

The Byakugan of random Hyuga compared to Otsutsuki Byakugan are as far apart than sharingan and rinnegan. Otsutsuki can see people's fate with theirs, Kaguya basically read Hamura's mind with hers and I think Hamura's Byakugan is far superor to Neji's.

Used to be the most hype thing when I was a kid watching OG Naruto on Toonami, wondering what kinds of dojutsu there were going to be; only for it to be a whole bunch of garbage. I think the ootsutsuki simply have random dojutsu sometimes, like Isshiki with his, he's also the only one we see that has it, which makes it as rare as boruto's, although of course later kawaki inherits it as well but u get what i mean. I'm sure there are more otsutsuki with the jogan and probably more otsutsuki with isshiki's dojutsu or completely other unique dojutsus

@@Nick-nb2oz yeah but I think that the Jougan is pretty rare even among the Otsutsuki's as the only 2 characters who have it are Boruto and the Otsutsuki God himself. As for isshiki's dojutsu, I think that there are more wielders of it but I think his dojutsu is passed only through his family bloodline. So these dojutsu's aren't as Random as the Byakugan and the Rinnegan

I find it interesting that the Otsutsuki God would be shown with the Jogan's instead of any other Otsutsuki Dojutsu. That must mean it's extremely powerful, to be the eyes of the Otsutsuki God.

i think without a doubt it will be part of boruto shippuden since the boruto series is more focused on the byakugan side of things unlike naruto which was heavily revolved around the sharingan

@@tjm1100, Obito transplanted them shortly after Madara's death (This was Obito's backstory) they were normal till a trauma awakened them, Due to the Uzimaki's massive natural bloodline chakra storing ability, he was able to activate it. The Uzimaki's were known for having massive chakra abilities as well as living long lives due in part to it. This is why Mito (hashirama's wife) and Kushina (Minato's wife) were selected for the duty of Jinchuriki, the ability of the Uzimakis to control any type of chakrs and their abilities with sealing Jutzu made them the perfect candidates for Jinchuriki

Sharingan is basically the Mutated Devolution of Rinnegan because Indra isn't pure enough of an Otsutsuki to unlock Rinnegan.

Rinnegan is not a evolution of sharingan, although it is stronger. Those jutsus are more like brothers, Rinnesharingan was the original and both Sharingan and Rinnegan are the results of it "splitting"

Yeah it's stuff like this that makes it painfully obvious that the people writing Naruto/Boruto now are just making it up as they go along. They keep having to introduce more and more powerful jutsu and characters and come up with weird justifications as to why they are more powerful.

I've read somewhere that in the beginning of manga, Neji was the main opponent of Naruto and it was planned to project him as such in the series onwards (Sasuke was no where in the picture of being his main opponent), but as the manga grew popularity of Sasuke lead the writers to make him main opponent instead of Neji

And yes, they haven't shown us the power of byakugan to it's full extent, they even said in the series itself that sharingan was inferior to byakugan but they never showed it's true power to prove it till now

Byakugan is basically the base Dojutsu of other Otsutsuki Eyes, so it makes sense that Sharingan, which was a mutated devolution of Rinnegan, still retains many similar abilities to Byakugan albeit weaker.

If you're referring to their fight, no he didn't. Itachi's health had no bearing on their "genjutsu war." Sasuke matched Itachi's Mangekyo genjetsu with a regular Sharingan, and even Zetsu who is watching points this out. Orochimaru who trains Sasuke foreshadows this from all the way at the start of Shippuden when he tells Sasuke he's more powerful with his regular Sharingan and at his current age than Itachi ever was.

You can use susanoo if you have Mangekyou in BOTH eyes. Like kakashi couldn't because he had one. Only used it once obito borrowed him his eyes before his death.

We've actually seen a lot of abilities from the Jogan. Notably it seems to share a bit of all 3 the big Dojutsu abilities +gives the user a stat boost.
