Great update! City are not put off by injury record. Laporte had a horrific injury prior signing - wasn't a problem. Gundo had a huge injury after joining City - not a problem. In contrast, Mendy had a big injury record before joining, that worsened at City.

Dani Olmo is the perfect replacement for KDB. He's absolutely world class, yet sadly doesn't have the PR other lesser players have (Pedri, Neto etc). He's better than all of them, and I've been saying he's special for years.

@@jereflechis4014 How do you compare him with Ortega, when Ortega hasn't been given a chance to play as a number 1 goalkeeper?. Look at Martinez when he got tired of being a number 2 at Arsenal and went to Aston Villa. He became World class goalkeeper who has solved the biggest problem of Argentina who couldn't get a good goalkeeper for years.

I would prefer Fabian Ruiz because he can play Rodri's position too. Olmo plays a position which City already has many players. Infact even Grealish should move into the midfield instead of being a winger.

The crucial thing is the threat of Arabia to City. No handicap financially for them but City have numerous financial handicaps imposed by PL. How this plays out is going to be crucial. Will City be given more of a free hand to buy who they want, if not why not and will this unfairness accelerate moves to a World League?

Keep nunes &add dani olmo,shame to see kdb go he’s a city legend &even though good to get money for him keep him this season then so be it let him go,as for eddy dont won’t him to go he’s awesome &we just had a season with the 2 best keepers in my eyes but if he goes Ortega is plenty good enough &in my eyes a better shot stopper,just worrying who becomes our second keeper gos to play our style it’s been hard to finally get the 2 we have.

I really think Foden would replace KDB and Olmo replaces Foden by playing that free roaming winger spot. Olmo has played that position a lot when healthy and is a playmaker on the outside and centrally.

NAY on Olmo for me. The thought of City buying a VERY injury-prone AM to support an increasingly injury-prone KdB, does NOT sound like our normal ‘sensible’ transfer strategy… We can (and must) do better !

Well he’s a good addition I’d say… we shouldn’t however think he’s the perfect replacement for KDB tho. Again, I’m very worried with his injury track records as said. I wish we signed a proper right winger tho, I’m wondering why we’re not in the “Nico Williams” conversation 😢. And how far with Bruno Guimares as well ? My biggest concern is with our left back position! Pep should stop tinkering with stuff sometimes …just get us a good left back player ! How hard can that be ?🤦🏾‍♂️ tinkering with player positions, that’s why our defense has been poor lately…😢

Dani Olmo is extremely cheap at only 60 Million Euros. To me it's a no-brainer...bring him to City to learn from Pep and KDB. Dani Olmo is obviously already a mega-star (unless you haven't been following the Euro's). Would be such a joy to watch him play with his friend Rodri at the Etihad...💙💙💙💙💙
