The thing that makes fnaf4 amazing that in night 5 you start hearing weird footsteps and the freddy isn't in the bed and then when you flash the halls you see a horrifying yellow bear staring at you in the end of the hall which is really scary because you would never expect this and in night 6 everything is back to normal and you wont expect him to come back again then he returns in 4am again but night 7 you might expect him to come back but when you flash the hall you will an even more scary version of him but he is black and has red eyes and he is in your face when you flash him. and sister location kinda made the same thing with ennard but in a better way. You know? Before watching, I was extremely skeptical of your thoughts on each game, as I had checked your first few choices via the chapters. As I watched though, your points are all extremely fair and this is overall a good ranking. I will say I think you did Pizza Sim a little dirty by deducting so many points for the office section alone. On sister location: I think SL was made for the fans who watched let's plays. I was one of these fans and still am. SL's story-driven approach drew me in and was fun to watch DanTDM beat. At the time of its release, FNAF had a sizeable fanbase of let's-play watchers as well as game theory fans. The tidbits of lore and story drew people in, and Scott made SL more story focused for those fans. It wasn't made with replayability in mind and since it broke the FNAF formula so drastically I don't think Scott did a good job with designing the challenges in a way that was fun

My ranking would be Fnaf special delivery: no, just no Security breach ruin: too futuristic and too much confusion due to the mimic. I like roxanne's character in it and the horror Ultimate custom night: good, but is more of a sandbox game Help wanted curse of dreadbear: it's good, but there isn't a lot to do Help wanted 2: It has its scary moments during sister location, but it isn't that scary, but i like it. Security breach: Extremely underrated, and the map is so good when you know replay. And monty and william afton's burntrap form. The DJ music man chase was terrifying, and the monty boss was terrifying. Might be one of my favorites despite the glitches Fnaf 4: i do like it. It has so much lore but causes confusion about the bite of 83. They tried too hard to make it scary. Fnaf 2 was scarier. Help wanted: It was terrifying and had lots of variety if you own curse of dreadbear. I spent hours over night looking for secrets Fnaf sister location: Lots of lore and scary jumpscares. Fnaf 2: The withered animatronics were scarier than the nightmares. It showed us what the bite of 87 was (no, not the bite from fnaf 4. That is the bite of 83) Fnaf 6: It was extremely fun and had lots of lore and had the tycoon phase Fnaf 1: Extremely nostalgic and most likely everyone's first game. Fnaf 3: Introduces springtrap and is extremely underrated.

So…..I’m biased towards FNAF 3 because Springtrap is my favorite character..lol. Though, I do find the gameplay a bit boring. But YES, I agree that FNAF 2 is so repetitive and bad in gameplay. I do think 2 is a bit overrated. However, I disagree on the ending thing. Connection Terminated is better than the good ending in my opinion.

The thumbnail was the main thing that grabbed my attention cause every render in it, with the exception of Monty, Funtime Foxy and Roxy, were made by me. Pretty good video by the way, even if I don't necessarily agree with all of your opinions.

I would absolutely love to see a video about why you think the good ending is better than the completion ending (mostly since I 100% agree with you about it lol.) Completion ending is alright but I feel like people only like it because it features a moderately well-written speech over emotion-tugging music rather than it being a satisfying conclusion to the characters. Definitely consider making that video in the future!

it's important to have in mind that steel wool's fnaf games are much more lore based than gameplay based. i know they should've put more variety on hw2's minigames, but if you see some theories you'll find out that the protagonist doesn't have anything to do with the other fnafs

Help Wanted 1 is my favorite game because of how damn scary it was

my biggest issue with security breach is that it was the beginning of my distaste for what fnaf was becoming, colorful, childish, goofy, and not at all scary other then select parts, not to mention how it somehow made the lore even weirder then it was before. but as a game, it definitely is a unique experience, and ABSOLUTELY has charm

One thing that I don’t like about UCN (that started in SL Custom Night) is the fact that the animatronics are now just “prompts” that you have to react to. Hear music close the door. Hear Freddy’s laugh, close the opposite door, hear a squeak close the vent, etc…it doesn’t feel like the animatronics are making their way to your office like in the older games. Nothing has a path, they’re just reaction prompts. This completely ruins the immersion and takes the horror away from it. Instead of feeling like they’re out there in the hallway making their way to your office, it feels like they “pop” in to existence just to do their “attack” and then they disappear off the map. Take a game like FNAF4, you can kinda figure out where they are in the house based on sounds, pathing, etc… FNAF3 you can track Springtrap. It just feels more organic instead of having them pop in and out of existence to make you play a reaction time mini game.

I actually completely agree with this list but one thing I would change is I quite like sister location and I only don’t like it for this stupid von von part and night 4. The reason why I hate the bin bin part is because playing on mobile, I can’t react fast enough and when I die it sends me all the way back to do Funtime foxes bit. I may of mixed up some of the parts since I havnt played in a while but I just remember how bad the checkpoint system was.

Lack of replayability is not always a bad thing. In cases like SL, it seems less that it gets so boring after playing it once already. More like you've already seen what there is to see, nothing more to expect, giving you not much reason to play it over again.

I agree with almost everything here! Only change I’d make for my own personal list is FNaF3 > FNaF1. I’d probably give FNaF4 a 9.8/10. My main gripes about FNaF4 being that we barely even see the animatronics and the underutilization of Nightmare Freddy. Other than that I loved FNaF4! Playing the game especially during Nights 4, 5, and the extras menu nights were a blast because I love the gameplay loop with how your always on your feet and having something to do. Having to have your sound turned up to listen for BREATHING straight in front of you was always amazing to me and because you had to have your sound really turned up, you’d be more scared of the jumpscares. UCN is absolutely amazing. So much replay ability and fun content. Just like you, I have the most hours on it out of any other FNaF game. And UCN also supports modding a lot so you can easily add new things that’ll be interesting for the game. Mods like UCN Deluxe or UCN:Recode just to name a few that’ll enhance the gameplay. FNaF3 is easily in my top 3. I’m unsure if I like it over FNaF4 or not. Everything about the game is fantastic. Everything but the jumpscares as you mentioned. The story, the ending, the gameplay, Springtrap. Everything is such a delight. Good video man! Keep up the good work!!

Great video! I agree with a lot of these takes, so here's mine, out of the games I've played (everything on here except World and the HW series): 9. FNAF 2: Toy Bonnie can go to hell with his stupid 50% every half second mechanic. Otherwise it's not a bad game, but definitely fails in terms of being engaging. 4/10. 8. Ruin: Not bad, but it's kinda bland once you know how to survive. Not frustrating like FNAF 2 though, and it has some decent story. 5/10. 7. Pizzeria Simulator: The game isn't bad or anything, it's just that I tend to have more fun with the capitalism-based gameplay than the actual horror segments. (Hint: just use silent ventilation and keep switching vents and you'll be fine most of the time.) 6/10. 6. Sister Location: Not a bad game, but it's very cinematic and not in a good way, more in that it keeps you from the action. Still, it does tell a decent story and has a fun custom night. 6.5/10. 5. Ultimate Custom Night: Lots of customization and room for different experiences, and definitely a lot of fun, but trying to handle more than 8,000 points' worth of animatronics at once becomes sensory overload really fast. 7.5/10. 4. Security Breach: The most objectively mediocre game in the series, but has a lot of fun areas to explore and a good bit of challenge. Only thing I can't defend about this game is Mazercise. 8/10. 3. FNAF 4: It's a lot of fun, and has a good few mechanics that are challenging and keep you on your toes. 8/10. 2. FNAF 1: Excellent gameplay loop, great easy to learn and hard to master mechanics, and gives you a good few ways to go about with your strategy if you're skilled enough. 9/10. 1. FNAF 3: The most fun I've had with a game in the series, it has only one animatronic that can kill you and makes you use all the cameras rather than just one or two, you get to study Afton's weaknesses and strengths and develop a strategy on your own, handles RNG better than FNAF 2 could ever dream of doing. Nothing is guaranteed to work but it's still a lot of fun switching up strategies when one of them stops working. 10/10.

About FNAF 2 Animatronics mechanics that are the same except for Puppet and W. Foxy: Truly also FNAF 1 Animatronics had the same strategy (the doors). The only one different is Golden Freddy. Also FNAF 3 has the same mechanics for the Phantoms (don't watch them). I absolutely agree with FNAF 4 as the best game, it is so underrated. People hate it because it doesn't have cameras but also without them the gameplay is solid. The Nightmares are the best designs ever and the plot is so good. I think FNAF 4 is my favourite, also FNAF 2 and 3.

This is an unpopular opinion, but i personally hate Help Wanted 1. Bear with me this'll be a bit lengthy. Yeah i agree that its gameplay is horror focused, and that's not a bad thing, but as someone who is now desensitized to the horror of it, all that's left to me is just a boring and/or annoying game that gets tiresome really quick. Some of the mechanics in the remakes either don't need to be used, are annoying to use, or can just be abused to pretty much cheat the system. Dark rooms starts off scary but then gets annoying, parts and service is sister location levels of nothing gameplay, vent repair is decent, and then night terrors is really boring aside from Nightmarionne. With Help Wanted 2, it's not scary at all but i prefer a horror game that isn't scary but still fun to play over a horror game that starts scary but eventually all that's left is just terrible gameplay

Haven't played AR, Ruin, FNAF World, or Help Wanted(s), but otherwise: 1 - Pizzeria Sim. Totally get why it wouldn't appeal to some, but I found the tycoon adorable and genuinely fun, loved the hidden secrets and lore to find, was terrified during the salvage sections (though ugh those really are poorly explained/implemented), and generally just enjoy the openness and replayability. I do wish there were cameras for the office section, though 2 - FNAF. Og blew up for a reason! 3 - UCN probably? 4 - FNAF 4 (would be higher if I weren't so annoyed at how LOUD the jumpscares are when you need FULL VOLUME to hear the sound cues...and bc the fnaf-in-your-bedroom idea gave me nightmares for a bit lol) 5 - FNAF 3. I need to revisit this one cause tbh I don't remember my thoughts very well 6 - FNAF 2 7 - Sister Location. Had its moments, but soooooooooo railroady 8 - Security Breach. Sorry, it's not even just the bugs, but the game design is so subpar and downright baffling at times, though I get how it can be fun for some to break it!

5:37 "the cameras are useless" minus 7 strat: ik no one tries this when first playing (especially because it's recommended for experts only) but it's the best strat for 10/20 and it actually makes the other cameras and the camera flashlight useful

Definitely fnaf help wanted 1 and 2, fnaf world and fnaf security breach is far a lot better game that fnaf 3 because is purely luck, you hability isn't important if you have best godly luck you can beat it without doing nothing if you have bad luck doesn't matter you do you will lose especially on the night 6 and night 6 + agressive.

Sister Location’s atmosphere and lore is cool but man that game is boring in my opinion.

fnaf 2 being at 10 just makes me sad, i get that the gameplay can be repetitive but you have to respect the charm it has. and personally i like the gameplay a lot because sure you’re rotating between winding the box, mask, flash vents/hallway but it adds a sense of rhythm that feels really nice on later nights when the difficulty is higher. also saying that fnaf 2 is not good because there’s only 3 types of mechanics in the game but putting fnaf 1 at three when it is a much simpler game doesn’t make sense to me. i get there’s more characters but that just adds to the threat of the game, even if the mechanics are the same for most of them. also im sorry for ranting i love fnaf 2😭

My personal ranking of the games I’ve played would be: SB: 3/20 HW: 5/20 SL: 7/20 FFPS: 10/20 (love the lore and tycoon parts, but hate the survival mechanics) UCN: 13/20 FNaF 3: 16/20 FNaF 1: 18/20 FNaF 2: 19/20 (would be perfect if it’s design didn’t make harder challenges so RNG-based) FNaF 4: 20/20

"Here we are the game you all expected to be at the bottom." I think AR should have been taken off the list if you were taking out games, sister location for the first playthrough should be taken into account because thats how the game obviously wants to bw viewed, ruin in of itself is a flawed experience that, while linear, has a great story to tell, and fnaf 2 is nowhere close to the bottom of the barrel as a collective. Sb is far worse than any of these games because fundamentally its a broken running sim that has shown to not stand well on its own as a fnaf game having fnaf 4 levels of vagueness leading to people thinking the main character is a robot in a triple A title where a story if worth its own spiel, should never be that vague.

Funny thing is i think the ronlox version is better so yhat proves that ar failed. 3/10 10. Ok hot take incoming but next is sister location. Designs and jumpscare are great but 2 major problems as since its a set order its has 0 replay and night 4. 4/10 9. Security breach. Oo really like the Designs and character personalites. But one word Glitches. 6/10 8. Fnaf 3. Mightve been lower but was the 1st fnaf game i played. But having just one lethal animatonic with 2 bad jumpscares brings it down. 6.5/10 7. Fnaf 4. Ok easily the most scariest for me as for vr i play it on flat mode (don't have a vr headset) plus it can get a bit boring 7/10 mechanics wise. Thankfully night 5 is great and really love markipliers lets play. 6. Is going to world honestly it is fun and probably the best game for kids in the series since no jumpscares ( move doesn't count) and they are cute. Honestly no bad points. 8/10 5. Ucn ok major probs for being the most repayable and the cutscenes are a nice addition. But a couple of the jumpscares bring it down. 8.2/10 4. Fnaf 1. Ok the 1st game. Started a whole series and a lot of fangames. And a teally good atomsphere and mechanics. Just like the final 3 more. 8.7/10 3. Help wanted ok i can see why people say its the best in series because there is a lot of modes to keep you entertained. So no problems. 9/10 2. Ok this is going to be a shock but 2nd is pizzeria sim. Nearly all for me is amazing. The tycoon and minigames are lots of fun. And the salvage room is a really good. Endings as well are great. It was close yo being number 1. But the office part prevents that. 9.6/10 1. Fnaf 2 for me everything is amazing as things get intense. The mask is a great mechanic. Minigames are fun, toys and withers are both amazing, and the custom night is better. 10/10
