It is wild to me that they expect these girls to sing this song in the original key and deal with insane costume elements and magic and the stairs. Idina won’t even sing the original key live and neither did Broadway. It’s a hard song period. It’s not like defying gravity where it’s really only very high right at the end. It’s constantly high belting. If they lowered the key even a step or two, it would help the shaky vocals and allow the ladies to feel more comfortable so they can focus on all the magic elements.
Ok at 14:50 we’re you said that she needs more vocal practice. Your totally wrong, these girls are doing 3 shows a day, and it’s hard on there vocals. Somethings they still have to do the show when they are sick! So give them some slack.
Literally... wtf is this video maker talking about.... she didn't do anything wrong... her voice is naturally raspy... oh, you know like... IDINA MENZEL.
i honestly really prefer seeing the transformation, the quickness of the change can be cool but otherwise the lighting breaks up the scene. Elsa's entire first half of her arc is about her rejecting the royal background that repressed her, so the way the dress folds and disappears into her ice dress makes it feel a lot more powerful/symbolic. It also geniunely looks like magic, i don't know if it's because of how it slides off of her. if somehow i ever worked on a production of Frozen, I'd be working my butt off to get that change without the lights going off
fr she failed in the dark, disguised it as a graceful arm dance and then waited till a later cue with the "here I am" and still impressed people. True pro.
11:44 this isnt because she wanted to do the quick change at the end, its actually because you can tell during the blackout she did try the quick change, but the costume didnt split properly and only the sleeves split as you can see the dress hanging out of the sleeves, eventually she managed to get the strings intact and perform the quick change.
The quick change is supposed to happen during the black out. In that clip, we can see the transformation though we aren’t supposed to. It looks better tho so I see ur point
Aw man, don't do them dirty like that. Let It Go is a very hard song both to sing and to act out, especially live in front of a lot of people. Shit happens and they handled it like true queens.
Personally I don't feel like this is doing them dirty. This just displays their abilities to handle complications with a smile on their face, staying in character. I'm very proud of them.
@@seanhaley3204 nope. there are videos of the light cue out of sync, in fact it has the whole tech out of cue. let it go is all one cue, not just it’s one cue.
@@audreystrawberry-roserecor9721 Unless there is a data fault, which is rare, its not possible. It is all using SMPTE sync code to keep lighting, effects, projections, and playback in sync.
Yeah the violin part of the song usually is in sync with the lights for that one so she was on cue but not the lights. She is the one Elsa in my opinion that usually lands her dress change cues really well.
why are those notes later talking about the girl walking across the stage like it's a bad thing? she played it off well, and improving to keep the pace is an extremely useful skill. i mean unless whoever wrote those wanted her to be like "oh, this is embarrassing, see the stairs are meant to come onstage" in the middle of a song
It always annoys me because the transformation should go, throw crown at “past is in the past”, the hair on the beat, then the dress a few seconds after the beat. But instead it’s almost completely the opposite. 🙄
At 14:50 you post a video of a girl singing perfectly, but add below that she needs "more vocal practice". Please respond to my comment with your vocal training history, who you studied with, length of vocal study, and degrees you hold that qualify you to let us know who in the singing world needs "more practice"... I'll just wait here for your accreditation. While we wait, you may want to know the woman you bashed that "needs more practice"? ..her credentials are 20 years of vocal "practice", a degree in Vocal Performance, a talent scholarship from a university, winning Broadway World's Cabaret of the Year, & being cast as original Elsa for THIS show who helped develop the role in the Disney workshops with the Broadway Director Liesl Tommy where they PLANNED for her to sound a little raspy... like, oh I don't know, maybe IDINA MENZEL who originated this role in the film who has a SUPER RASPY VOICE? ... I'll just chill here while you gather your credentials...
@@johnrenzworld8868 You reply with a link to a video of Donna Lounden rocking it on stage like she always does??... SO? We are all still waiting to hear about our extensive credential that qualify you to BASH all the women in your video YOU made INCLUDING Donna. These women are highly trained, qualified, and work their asses off... these women are mothers with children & one lost both parents during the pandemic these performers you are "making fun of" are PEOPLE. Come on Johnrenz, post your expertise. I'm still waiting...
And of course you would be flawless and nothing would ever happen right? Things go wrong, it happens, even at Disney. I don’t see a video on all the fails of rides. No just mocking these actors who are doing what they love to entertain people who just turn around and mock them because their costume had a malfunction. This should be taken down! These are actual people who are doing their best everyday! You should be ashamed of yourself for posting this, even if it’s been up for a year, take it down!! These women are watching this and they aren’t laughing, their hurting! They have feelings and don’t want to be made the butt of any joke. Shame on you!
There's no need to be so rude. Literally for me, I was in a show and I forgot a whole verse of my song. But I just improvised and made the ending better! Just as these people did. They worked with what they had and they all did amazing! This video isn't mocking anything or anyone, it is just showing that things happen. And at least with me, if I know that something messes up, then I just end up laughing it off and playing it like it was purposeful. And seeing the ways that things don't work help people to figure out how to make them better for the next run. But no need to be so harsh. At the end of the day, we all make mistakes. And it is all in good fun.
@@annagrace2604 you're... you're joking right? That is the biggest gaslight I've heard all year... this guy posts a video with captions like "needs more vocal practice" under the women singing insinuating that these women aren't practicing or being diligent in their craft, or being lazy with chicken "goof up" noises... this is literally the definition of mocking... @Donya Deuel defends them... and you say SHE is rude?! Anna...seriously? Did you watch the whole video? It's not just a few tech mess ups... he literally judges their singing with mocking comments. When you forgot a verse in your song, had you spent 20 years working on your craft? Did the show have a lot of notoriety and publicity putting a lot of pressure on you? Did someone post it online for everyone to judge? Did people make a video of you with 30,000 views with a caption under your singing saying "She needs more practice"? You think that is "all in good fun"?? A video made by a man making fun of 25 women doing their best and insinuating some of them aren't qualified and aren't singing well? That's FUN for you? Is that what humor is to you? This video has hurt a lot of people and added stress on these women who are mothers with children with special needs, lots both their parents during the pandemic, some are battling depression and haven't worked in a year... maybe find something else to make you laugh that doesn't come at other expense. The world needs a lot less of this right now-and it needs people who defend this crap even less. Also, just because you felt fine messing up in your show... where no one made fun of you singing saying you needed more practice for 30,000 people to see... doesn't mean these women who that is actualy happening to should be ok with it... Sometimes its about how other's feel not how YOU feel, Anna.
And here you are wasting your own time to write a hateful comment when I just had an opinion. And it also says something that you bothered to watch the entire video just to criticize me. Bravo. Alright now I'm not wasting any more time. I hope you have a good day/night/afternoon.
@@annagrace2604 **accuses me of wasting time writing youtube comments... while they use their own time to write comments on youtube** LOL So... you didn't watch the entire video.. the used YOUR time to comment on something you weren't informed about?! Gurl. I think you are confused about what the word "waste" means. YOU wasted your time making ill-informed comments defending people making fun other others. I used my time to be thorough, responsible, well informed, and defended good people. You wasted your time commenting on things you couldn't be bothered to be informed about... you are those people who read a misleading headline then jump on and attack people when they don't know the facts and make a fool of yourself. In addition, HATE is defending people who make fun of mother's working in a difficult industry... like you did. Sternly defending those women against people like you who are sharing their hurtful uninformed "opinions" on videos they couldn't be bothered to fully watch... the way Donya and I did.. that's admirable. I'm having a GREAT day. lol
