Undoubtedly the most fucked up yet brilliant running joke in South Park history 🤣 I remember my older sister showing me this episode when I was like 9 years old and I got in a HUGE amount of trouble for singing the song in class. To this day, no regrets :3

Oh my God. Seriously guys, hear me out here. This is too unreal. I literally thought this was some kind of fever dream. I remember seeing it on a TV as a little kid. I think it was at home? It was so bizarre. All i remembered was the bird saying something along the lines of 'you must get out of the stomach'. I think it was on the SBS channel i had at home. It was at the late night. And after that, i never saw this ever again. I didn't even think it existed. I totally had forgotten about this, until scrolling through the videos tonight. From the moment i had seen the thumbnail, my instincts suddenly vividly remembered this. This is so wierd, Holy Crap.

This is my favorite episode of all time. The Tolerance camp, the bits with Mr. Slave, Lemmiwinks, just everything. They absolutely knocked it out of the Sout Park with this one.

I’m watching the animated Hobbit movie right now and noticed the opening theme sounds eerily similar to song of Lemmiwinks. Had to search this video up to confirm and now I have a whole new appreciation for it. I’m certain they were directly inspired from that song because everything down to the voice, the lyrics, and the tone of the song is spot on

I swear the first time I saw this was the hardest I've ever laughed in my life and when they crowned him the gerbil King I'm just like this is now my favorite episode of South Park ever has yet to be topped

I just can't get over how perfect this is

I was a kid when I first saw this episode. I remember not really understanding the song, oblivious Ratchet and Clank addict that I was, but I clapped and cheered when Lemmiwinks escaped and received the crown. Good times.

Saw this on it's first airing with my cousins. I can't even begin to describe how hard we laughed at it! XD At the time we thought it was inspired by Redwall; but in all honesty it could be anything. :P

People seem to be confused about what this is spoofing. It’s probably a few things tbh, but it’s a clear reference to the 1977 animated hobbit film. Later, when Lemmiwinks fights Wikileaks, the same film is referenced again with music mimicking the Goblin Town song.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone took what was so intelligent about the comedians of their time and before to make such brilliant templates for later comedy. Who could’ve ever guessed that the future political climate could allow them to employ their Rankin-Bass Hobbit parody as a contemporary political allusion.
