This is sooooo TRUE….. my hair was DAMAGED, went to a salon had a permanent color put in…my hair is fine textured….then a relaxer and my hair broke off terribly…..had about 10 inches of hair went down to 3 inches. Saw Crystal on RU-vid in November 2021….start purchasing Elite Hair Care products, these products nourished my hair back to being healthy ( with being consistent) and now my hair is growing in a healthy state. I thank God for Crystal products. Loving my Salt n Pepper! I’m done with coloring my hair. It’s no joke and a journey I wish on no one.

I was advised not to do perms and color by my Korean hair stylist nearly 20yrs ago. She told me that black texture hair is very delicate. Thanks for the update on that proven fact.

I relaxed my dyed hair but it was 6 months later. And it didn’t damage.

I learned the hard way about having color in my hair years ago. I waited almost 10 years before professionally getting my natural hair colored. My stylist told me when I first went to her that she was not bleaching my hair nor putting anything more than a rinse in my hair for color. Because she didn't want me to damage my hair since I have been natural for so long. I'm thankful for that.

I have fine hair. I wear twa. I texlax for about 5 mins. Three weeks of deep conditioning later. I box dye blonde. Hair id thriving.

Yes, The only thing..well If I do color my hair I do a temporary hair dye, I don't mess Wit no color . I'm too afraid 😨. Thank God I have a stylist, she does everything to my hair. I ain't playing no games out here. Thks Chrystal, 🙏

Relaxers should be a salon service ONLY. I’ve seen a relaxer on virgin hair do the same thing because it was left on too long and that happened in the salon! Great video.

Can you safely switch from a lye relaxer to a no-lye relaxer?

Then only after a week...that was definitely a no either a color are a Relaxer....I'm a Cosmetologist & im natural with highlights & I wouldn't dare do that...but I do want to go back to a Relaxer BUT i will wait ✋ until allll my highlights are on my ends only & I can trim it off...who in the world told her to do that 🤔 👀 😏.. She should have went to a professional & they would have to her that (hopefully) I pray she gets Professional help 🙏

You’re spot on about hair color. I had a professional stylist color my hair and had a reaction to the process and lost my hair in several spots. This was decades ago and I was relaxed at that time. Been creamy crack free for 10 years now. I was fearful of color but the stylist said it was doable and safe. I honestly don’t know if she did anything wrong. I had been going to her for my relaxer for a couple of years and finally had the courage to try color. I should have trusted my fear and left color alone. I think it’s actually contributed to alopecia that I’ve developed in those areas decades later. I have dark brown/black hair and was looking to go a bit lighter to a dark sandy or back then it was caked dusty brown. I had to wear tracks to cover the bald spots while my hair grew back out. I have never tried to lighten my hair ever again. One time I’d all it took for me to give it a hard forever pass.

I've mentioned this a while back on another channel. But I think it was sometime between '98 and 2000, Dark-n-Lovely had a relaxer and color in one box. My sister's hair was a mixture of level 6 and 7. Damaged. I applied the relaxer, then the black dye and her hair turned green. She was so upset with me, you would have thought her hair came out.

Wow, poor lady!! She leaned a valuable lesson.

The problem is they need to do a reverse search to find the fails before attempting to do the impossible on their hair. 🤦🏽‍♀️
